Brother, I've had some disagreements with some of your builds but this is spot on, really nice. Only thing I would have done differently was pick a different case, and probably go liquid cooling. That might take you $75-100 over budget but dropping the PSU to 1000w, you could come pretty close to the mark. I just feel like, due to the overall quality of this build, a liquid cooling solution would be more appropriate, but that's it. Fantastic choices. I'd love to own this PC. Really well done. This setup will be playing games at ultra settings in 4k for years to come. Great job.
Actually nevermind, that case is fine. Was just looking at reviews, I was thinking of another model, case is good. Liquid cooling would be my only change. I think 1000w is enough, but I do not know the complete power draw. Is this your current personal rig?
The choice for the air cooler was solely so that this could be a $2000 PC build guide and not a $2100 build guide. Fortunately the 7800X3D is quite manageable with an air cooler so you're right on with that price estimation. Like I say in the video, I decided to use that spare 1200W psu because I had it lying around and needed to use it, but 850W would be adequate for this build.

Hey there, I'm building almost this same PC. Except I'm using a RX 6950 XT instead. I'm even using the same CPU cooler, as I agree with your logic. Your guide is helping me a lot, because this is the first computer I have ever attempted to build. A question if you have time: Where did you find the additional fans for this system? I see that you used the one that came boxed above the PSU (seemed odd they did that) on top with an additional two fans. These fans are unique as they blow in the reverse direction compared to the label, I assume you know what I mean, and to make things look right, I wanna be sure to buy the same ones that came with the case. Where did you find them? Currently I have only seen one on Amazon, and I mean it's just one, and it's $20 a fan. Where is the link for the extra fans? Are they included with another part.
I want to know that too 😊
Yeah same did I just imagine another 3 fans appearing?
The price of the montech sky two tripled here in the uk no idea why
it was one of my favourite cases and a good value option but not anymore
That sucks
Just orderd the rx 7900xt saphire nitro+ editon can't wait to use it
An absolutely loaded gpu
This is the case Im going to get. looks so dope. question, did your fan hub come without issue? some reported months ago the hub running fans at 100%. wondering if they fixed the issue like they said they would. awesome video!
It didn't seem like it to me.
@@ScatterVolt perfect, now to decide on a budget build 6800xt or midrange
@@yolover111 Pretty much any video about the 7800xt, just change the 7800xt for a 6800xt and youll be set. Their so similar you can just interchangeably swap them without issue.
Do you recommend this build for a 1440p 240hz monitor? I want to play nice looking fps games on max settings 1440p with 240fps 1% lows
Check my updated build in the description
i am savng for a pc currently have 30 bucks im tryingto save up to 2000 dollars It's gonna take lke 2 years but hopefully i will save up and m gonna buy a crazy pc
Keep at it!
I’m building my first pc, went with the same case with a 7600x and 7900xt, coming from a 5-6 year old laptop with a gtx1050 with i7 7th gen. I’m so excited
i have a similar laptop thats 7 years old, going to be doing a PC build in 2024 most likely with a 7900XTX
@@Delta.Force. you should at least look at the Black Friday deals tho, the 7900xtx might have a good discount
I was using a 6 pipe cpu cooler. Temps were getting to high so i switched to an AIO closed loop water cooler. Same cpu and gpu in this video. Also changed bios. PBO set to advanced, all cores to negative 30. Temps are about 10c cooler.
What temps were u getting ?
Nice build
Thank you!
Can you test the pc with more games?
yes: ruclips.net/video/8IZvEF4Ui10/видео.html
Might get a liquid CPU cooler, not sure if the case is big enough for it (I'm a pc building noob)
Love your build can you tell me if the mother board have a 3x M.2 Slots?
It'll have that listed for you on the motherboard's product page on it's website
Planning to build my first PC, gonna buy parts from my own country and abroad as well, (cpu and gpu are freaking expensive here).
I was thinking about using a rtx 4080 instead though purely cause of DLSS. But I really like the extra VRAM on the 7900
i dont normally approve of your builds, however this one is actually pretty solid, got my thumbsup this is what i would build at the same budget so awesome job!
What if I want to use this pc for streaming my games? And editing videos? Would you recommend a better ssd or just use this one in the video?

Is this a good video for a first time pc builder??
All of my pc build guide videos are designed for first time pc builders in mind. They’re guides/tutorials.
I have watched you off and on. But I used to not like your content. Mostly it was about coupons. I see why your channel is very popular. I am glad to see less videos with coupons sometimes it hard to get companies to honor the coupons.
my 13600 + rtx 4080 gamerock here, i like the performance, dont need x3d at 1440p, but very nice build 😇
You’ve still got a sick setup
@@ScatterVolt yeah thx man. Do you think it would be worth upgrading to a x3d ?
Will this build last a long time with the air cooling used in this video?
The build is great! would it be fine if I switch the GPU to a 4080? If possible, are there any other parts that I need to replace or everything is fine as it is even if I change the gpu?
Everything is fine
Hi ScatterVolt, I bought this exact system. Amazon just emailed me that I can't get the cooler. Can you recommend a replacement? Thank you!
Hey. Trying to learn how to build pcs and stuff which is why I’m wondering? I’ve seen a lot of stuff about thermal paste. Is it necessary? I don’t see a lot of tutorials using it?
Watch this: ruclips.net/video/8IZvEF4Ui10/видео.html
I’m building this PC right now. The only question I have is what fans are on top? I don’t mind if it takes me over a little. Thanks for the build brother!! @ScatterVolt
You can’t find them since Montech doesn’t sell their own fans but any ARGB case fans will work when you plug them into the fan hub controller.
Montech fans can be bought from Newegg
Going to def use this motherboard and cpu but going with the 7900xt merc and an aio
Im also going to be using this GPU/CPU combo but I will be building it in the fractal north mid tower case (black glass panel) but I have no idea on what parts would be best/good fit. My budget is 2300! Will be used mostly for gaming of course :)
Thinking of replicating his entire build. Is this an good investment?
@@morganae9269 yes
@@morganae9269 Yes it's a great investment. It's a top tier gaming pc and will comfortably play games at max settings with insane fps for the next 5 years at the very least.
Im gonna buy thia i have been saving
Honestly I’ve never built a pc before. Do you need to format the m.2 drive?
Is it good for content creation and other productive works?
Like video streaming, video editing, photoshop, blender etc?
I am excited more so than my son it's his computer he's 23
I'm thinking of doing this build in a week or so, but I'm curious on what liquid cooling system would you recommend if you chose one for this build?
Any 240/280mm aio should do
I love that GPU, but that support bracket is ridiculous. It really shows how much we've moved beyond the ATX form factor from 1995, but are stuck with it because of how difficult it would be to get all the manufacturer onboard for a change.
This is just how modern GPUs are trending, although, I think the more expensive ones have better in-card support. This XFX model is an entry level card so it probably needs that if I had to guess.
@@ScatterVolt Great build, but I have a couple of questions. If I were to slightly exceed my budget, could I incorporate a good water cooling system? If so, do you have any recommendations? Second question. I understand AMD offers more value for the money, but wouldn't the NVIDIA 4080 provide an overall improvement? I'm aware of NVIDIA's reputation for pricey tech, but considering ray tracing, AI benefits, and a generally more stable GPU, wouldn't it be a better choice? Im prepared to go a little over budget if that means I can play on max settings for years to come on a 1450 p-4k monitor. My monitor is G-SYNC compatible, so that's a bonus. If I opt for the NVIDIA, would this build still be the best? Can I simply swap out the AMD for NVIDIA, add water cooling, or would I need to consider a different case, motherboard, or any other components to maximize the potential of the NVIDIA? Thanks for the build and keep up the good work!
Nvidia fanboi comment incoming... WAAAAAA WAAAAAA he's using full AMD build WAAAAA AMD FANBOI WAAAAAAA
Is this compatible with the RTX 4080 SUPER?
hi can i change the SSD to 4TB and change the power supply to 1000W and change the case? and do you have any recommendation for what i can change the case too.
If you were to uograde the mother board on this what would you choose? Also im new to this but will this setup allow for an xbox controller to be synced via Bluetooth?
Are the extra fans a necessity or optional and how would this run on games like ark survival evolved?
So I’m deciding to go for a different case with more fans and an aio. Is 850w still fine or should I go 1000? My first build so I’m kinda clueless
Rewatch what I say during the power supply section of this video
My first pc(father bought in 2017) was for around 350€ and it was really good pc( i was able to play gta5 fortnite 140~fps in 2020/2021) but now it's ain't it so i decided to save till i get like 2000€ and i wanted exactly what you did there(also what has more potential for future games 7900xtx or rtx 4080?)
No lie is full mental for me, I always go for overkill cause I know I will never have an issue while I work from home, so yes my laptop cost about 2100 lol
I did this pc build! I have a question I hope maybe you could answer ?
When I tried plugging in the graphics card, I put in the connector and the adjacent connector. But the next power connector also has an adjacent connector. Is it supposed to just hang off the side? If so, Does it matter which end I use on the cord?
Hey scattervolt, when i clicked the links for the ssd both said that they were sold out. In your opinion, which ssd would be the next best option?
Watch the updated $2000 pc build guide
@@ScatterVolt gotcha, Thanks!
how long does this pc last? would i ever need to replace parts?
Where do you sell the PCs you build? I’m looking for a gaming PC that doesn’t give me any trouble for at least 5 years, and doesn’t limit what I can play. I’m hoping for it to be between 2 -3 k.
Sell them on my website (see my twitter)
Hi
Can i ask!
If u had to choice between
amd 7900tx and nividia 4070ti
Which one you prefer!

Hey man if you were to use an AIO for this build which would you recommend?
Any you like
Do you recommend getting the warranty on the parts?
Can you please build a Gaming+Streaming build under 1500 €
I already made one last week mate. Watch it lol
I have this case and it comes with an extra fan that goes on the top of the PSU shroud, that brings air right to graphics card. You didn't show that. And the only way to get that fan installed is to do it before the GPU is installed.
Would it make sense to upgrade to 64 gig ram and 2 tb ssd if I use for video and photo editing besides gaming? Love the video btw! Thanks!
obviously
Wtf got about the same setup just different CPU,ram, storage but still got a curved 32 inch 1440p and it's about $2029.85 total not included shipping or export fees
😅
Update I found a better deal for the motherboard and now it's at $2000.00 btw I still got a monitor
Is there any NVIDIA GPU substitutes with similar performance?
4080 super, but it’ll cost more
Ive made this pc a while back and as it is good, it gets very hot very fast, is there anyway to fix that or get a better a part
I have the same one now when I play cod it turns off by itself any solutions?? Need help asap
*Great build, if only I had 2K to spend on a build :(*
Would this build work with a Ryzen 9
Intel budget 4K build please big bro
Can the flash drive be a normal usb flash drive? Or does it have to be exactly like yours
You must be an overthinker haha
Very much so
Would this build still work if I use the 4080 super over the 7900 xtx??
Think it is equivilant of 4070ti so yeah I would say 4080 works fine.
Am I doing something wrong? I added all of the parts in the video to my Amazon cart + 2 4k monsters and the total price is only $1,529. September 2023
Can i use a ryzen 5 7600x for this build because someone told me that the gpu should be more powerfull then the cpu and when i checked your build on a bottlenech calculator your build has no bottleneck. I thought that cpu has to be less powerfull then the GPU
I am pretty sure that this guy got jacked just by lifting beefy graphics cards all day, every day.
which monitor would you guys recommend for this build?
This one: ruclips.net/video/8IZvEF4Ui10/видео.html
Can I install a water cooler instead? Just asking because I don't wanna waste $200.
What makes you think you can't!
Why a b650 bro ? Wont it be bad
B650 isn’t bad. The 7800X3D isn’t even that power hungry of a cpu, and it isn’t recommended to overclock X3D CPUs anyways.
never tought i would once see leonardo dicaprio building a pc
What would be a good NVIDIA GPU to put in instead of the MERC310
There isn’t one unless you want to spend an extra $200 for a RTX 4080
Thank you for the help
