this is a human-powered glider it doesn't need fuel or batteries to fly you just need a small hill a little run to get going and you're up in the sky it's kind of like how birds fly which is why they call this an aritri but some people just call it a human powered glider the wings might seem huge at 45 ft wide but because the body is made out of super light carbon fiber the whole thing only weighs about 120 lb that means even an adult can pick it up and the cool part is that it can even fly on days with no wind at all when you're flying you tuck your legs up inside the cockpit and use a joystick and pedals to steer and control your speed if you get a lucky break with a Tailwind blowing behind you you can fly as fast as 80 mph Landing is a breeze too just slow down as you get close to the ground and use the foot brake to slow down even more before you touch down.

I think the weight is distributed evenly on the body (mostly weight is on shoulders, seems like it) when it is lifted by a person.

Yep, but, there is a but. Speed is a thing. Think about it, when there is no wind, you can fly circles and go up, great. But when you got wind, you don't just go up, you also move downwind. When the thermal is not that strong, you can get in trouble, you might not be able to make it back to where you have started. A slow glider is perfect for flying a small circle, but when you want to cover large distances you want a glider that flies well at high speed too. I bet this tiny plane is great fun, but do you have any idea how fast modern gliders can fly? Twice as fast as 80 miles an hour. It makes me wonder who will buy and fly this small glider. It is an impressive thing.

We have so much sunshine in my country that the same glider , completely covered with the new thin films solar panels an a modern brushless + a folding prop , could be a good way to make something incredible.
