Honestly, I love the new Arc Warlock melee very much. Teleporting behind someone and hitting them with a melee is so much fun. And it works with Necrotic Grips, so even if they see it coming, you're likely to get a trade if you can land the 2nd melee in time. As for Titan... Titan go punch. What more needs to be said?
One thing I gotta check today on my warlock is if the arc soul from artist works in tandem with asset to ashes. That was my only beef. Bc arc soul kills spawned by Getaway Artist no longer counts as grenade kills. That and the fact that energy converter doesn't give me fifty percent supe energy but like ten percent less. If even one of those is fixed that's a huge win for my build.
I think it's absolutely ridiculous they gave warlocks a better dodge than hunter. Titans should not even have a dodge imo. I guess bombardier kind of compare but not really.
I still miss the Bladedancer / ArcBlade subclass and super. At least the super had ranged options / area of effect options, as opposed to ArcStrider. Also fleet footed actually affected your mobility / speed, Back Stab giving a one shot melee and the subclass had built in quickdraw (though I understand that this was an unfair advantage). ArcStrider still feels weaker imo.
I would have loved to see Bladedancer make a return than getting Gathering Storm, but at that point it would just defeat the purpose of Arcstrider. We will just have to reminisce on the days of Bladedancer.
I feel that Arc staff has sort of a similar problem that Palpatine had in Star Wars Battlefront 2. Nobody played against it for so long that now they are saying it’s overpowered because they don’t know how to counter it yet
you can blink out of tempest strike so if you pace it right you can blink behind for a shotgun cleanup. Also, the new super can go through a bubble like palm strike if you time it correctly. Useful if you're playing trials with low int and can't use staff.

They nerfed shinobus vow into the ground. The seekers do a good amount less damage than before, and even track 50%less aggressively after like 2 seconds. They did em dirty. Yet another great exotic that nobody used being nerfed into oblivion.

Patty cakes idk if you saw, but that dodge/jolt melee breaks liars handshake, like the exotic doesn’t work after a dodge-melee anymore with that aspect.
It’s still that D2 version of blink that has a long delay after until you’re allowed to shoot again so it’s good to have back but a little undertuned maybe
Flow state completes the "ophidian aspect" effect by adding that reload to your handling buff. On top of that you get reduced damage while dodging, and faster dodge cool down. Combined with blink i feel like a warlock hehe. I don't really use tempest strike, it is strong but i enjoy Flow state more.
Just tried sorting the exotics yesterday! My brain couldn’t work it out, so getting your input is awesome. I’m not a good PvP player so all help is great and the easier it is to pull off with my limited reaction speed is better. So thanks for this, I’ll actually have an idea of what to do. 😎😂
For the damage resist from Flow State, it's kinda ridiculous, I managed to tank a Nova Bomb with a normal dodge which is just stupid IMO. I don't have the numbers or anything, but I was surprised, thinking "ah, the big purple ball is gonna kill me, let's dodge for style poi...HUH?!! Why am I alive?"
@@HazenPlays Well I did not use arcstrider much before 3.0, so I didn't know it could tank a super. I knew it had some degree of DR, but not to that extent.
I tried so hard to make blink work with my playstyle. It's hit or miss for me but its just so difficult to not end up in the middle of their whole team. For reference im one of those unusual hunters who uses bombardiers. Solar will always be my best subclass
Blink can't work aggressively without thinking about position. There's a delay before you can fire after blink and your hitbox is in both places as you blink, that's how it's worked in D2. So use it as a far dodge that means you don't need to expose yourself to reposition
@@austynh1 Arc just feels more agressive. With the amplifier buff and slide melee it just works better in close quarters which WOULD work if I used a shotgun.... except I took the moral high ground and vowed never to use a shotgun in pvp like 5 years ago because Im *just that weird*
Im so glad i already built my hunter around top tree arc with Liars, also, skip grenades have always been weak af in PVP, as you say good for cleaning kills or priming kills but theyre close to useless
As someone who used bottom tree Arcstrider in pvp through the past two 3.0 subclasses, I'm unbelievably happy with this update. Arc 3.0 hunter is almost everything I could ever want it to be. edit: the only thing is, they really need to add like, 1 extra Aspect to each of the 3.0 light subclasses, and 1 extra melee and super to each stasis subclass (well, 1 extra melee and super to every subclass with only one option in each... so there's a few 3.0 light subclasses that'd need to get one, too). Maybe the last season before lightfall we'll get those? Would be a perfect opportunity to bring back a certain void stat buff that's missing... edit2: Well, that and how it feels like bottom tree's stuff all just got nerfed, while the other trees just got buffs... even though middle tree's melee was literally insane from before 3.0. But some of those nerfs were fair. Like, it feels like the game WANTS me to play middle tree arcstrider. Not bottom tree. Disorienting blow is just worse if you're using tempest strike, and why wouldn't you use tempest strike, so... yeah. I love that blink is back, I love the super-related changes, the subclass feels great in pve, but I'm still hoping some of the bottom tree stuff gets buffed a little. Like, I don't see why the strongest melee ability in the game (tempest strike) was given more range and a 40 second cooldown, while pretty much everything bottom tree did was either locked behind sprinting for a short time, locked behind actually getting a kill or two first, or invalidated by a better option. edit3: Oh yeah, I also still have zero clue why Skip Nade tracking got nerfed. If they were doing the cooldown nerf, they didn't need the tracking nerf.
I think he is really sleeping on the Liar's Handshake. Those gauntlets have been on nonstop and are a great addition to the "aggressive disruptor" playstyle. Combined with spark of Resistance, a shotgun, and Combination blow
I’m sorta meh about Arc 3.0, loving blink is back. Gathering Storm is fun, but I feel it’s underwhelming in some moments in PvP. You can get some good kills with it, very rare doubles and triples, but as you mentioned. Just a bit off and you kinda wasted the super. Good for locking down a spot for a few seconds, though. I’ll have to try arc staff… but I always has bad experiences with melee supers with the hit registration saying I hit someone and not actually killing them.
@@wilburwilliams36 see, the thing…? My exotic slot is reserved for Ghorn. I’m also using sniper and SMG, it’s my true and test loadout. So, I don’t like to break away from that, often.
Ohhhh yeah I get that. The super is meant to be used more in pve, but it works best in objective modes like control. I’ve gotten 6 kills at once from throwing my staff at zone B. Maybe bungo will release a new exotic that allows you to get bonus super on arc multi kills. Until then, stick with the normal super; it regens much faster on average.
I think arc is just fine for what I want it to do/ which is shotgun ape/ can basically guarantee kills between melee and elemental capacitor shotgun/also over is great with assassins cowl
Really like how arc hunter feels. I haven't used Gemini yet with the class but from what I played, wormhusk, and frostees are probably my exotics of choice as frostees synergized with you constantly moving and wormhusk is good in 3s for the health Regen to get back into the fight quicker.
Imo Frostees is 10x better than Stompees especially since stompees doesn't affect blink from what I know and Frostees gives you ability cooldown for sprinting which frees up some fragment slots
Arc Hunter feels exactly the same as pre 3.0. And they hit skip grenades a bit too hard with the tracking nerfs. Overall this isn’t as exciting as void or solar 3.0. Almost all the arc exotics feel lacklustre leaving me disappointed. I was also curious if using the blinding melee with tempest does more damage and does it blind people it hits with the lightning? Or is it strictly a longer cooldown?
now that we have all the 3.0 classes would you mind doing an updated pvp guide for all of them. some playstyles and builds again. I liked the old ones but now that we have everything I'd love to hear your updated thoughts. I think you could do a damn good one for pve as well!
i've been enjoying Assassin's cowl. Shinobu's was kind of meh for me. sometimes grenade decides to go follow different target than i was aiming. or sometimes it gets stuck. lol
I just wanna point out that of we are talking about the arcstaff whirlwind guard, most supers can still easily kill you by just not throwing the super at the staff and rather just throwing it next the the hunter. Also the guarding is super buggy and you often kill yourself if you move forward while guarding because are walking into the projectiles you are deflecting deflect
I've been a bit iffy with Hunter, I'm awaiting to see some builds that aren't Liars Handshake lol. Titan = Insane haha. Ridiculously fun. Warlock, Chaos Reach desperately needs a damage buff! Could do with the activation time being made shorter also. I've just started using Fallen Sunstar & my god!! Ability Spam to the MAX! Chaos Reach gets a damage buff? Stormcaller will be amazing.
@@ForeverLaxx arc bolts and cold heart. Grenade jolts target, killing target with arc energy weapon creates blind explosion as well as ionic trace. Idk.
Definitely a good alternative to the Arc Staff. However, I feel it’s underwhelming for a super. Great to lock areas down for a few seconds, but not a great choice to counter. I’ve had some inconsistencies with it, some where it’s fantastic and doing it’s job, other times it’s not. Even tested with a friend to just see it’s potential (granted it was a controlled environment with just us two). I’ve had some moments where the super will absolutely counter a Well of Radiance by killing both my friend and destroying the Well. Other times, my friend and Well are completely unfazed by it and they can stand in it and be taking damage from the super as if it’s tickling them. Damage numbers show around 300 for the initial impact. And a value of about 700 for the Lightning overcharge when he stands in a well. Completely unfazed. I can say if the Warlock is not paying attention, you can hit them with the staff, shoot them while out of animation so their health isn’t full and the lightning kills. Bubble titans can just eat the super. Unless you are inside the bubble and toss it to the floor then it’s another story. … I went long enough and wrote an article. Sorry. xD
Needs a bit more damage inside of PvP too imo, more forgiveness on landing direct hits, and it’s got a bug where it doesn’t throw exactly straight through the center of the crosshairs when you try to aim it
@@zeromythosver. agreed to this. I feel when killing a normal guardian, a super should do what a super does. This one feels more like well, “you missed, try next time.” Because they have well enough time to move out the way before the lightning strike. Now, if it was forgiving on normal guardians and directs for supers, Gathering Storm would feel rather good. But still good to use and lock an area down.
Can someone please explain what Sniper he was using at 7:06 and how he got a triple? I'm a returning Destiny player and would much appreciate the help🙂
Raijus Harness combined with Classic arc strider super makes you pretty much unkillable when your super is active and you can rack up kills fast in 6v6 or 1 v 3 a whole fireteam in 3v3 matches. Pretty sure this thing is getting nerfed at some point. If you add hands on armor mods Xs 2 to your Helmet and get a melee kill or two it really helps get your super back up fast as well. If you have regular armor with high Mobility stats so you can ditch your stompees Id look no further than Raijus Harness for a great time feeling more like a juggernaut Titan than a hunter in PVP
Wanted to relive my old lucky raspberry arcvolt days and tried it, and wow arcvolt does like no damage in pvp (hadn’t tried it before arc 3.0). Kinda sad about that
They nerfed skip grenades surprisingly hard a season or two ago, kinda surprised. Have not yet played Titan but really happy about hunter blink, the new hunter super, all classes getting combat meditation, and the new warlock slide/teleport lightning melee
I feel like tempest strike is terrible and the worst aspect. Once you’re amped you get DR which is why flow state and lethal current are the best combos I feel in pvp
This build seems amazing but I don’t wanna try it out just jet cuz there can always be exotics that go with certain builds so do you have any exotics and weapons that would go with my PvP hunter build but I personally think riskrunner might be a good exotic but I’m not 100% sure
for warlock not that good maybe the melee combo when slyting and grenade launcher or sth like this but in general only the ultimates are good but for hunter it's just broken!
I hope the blink gets a little buffed all they need to do is make them more like a jump so that we can either blink like jumping works or they should add 3 charges so that we can blink mid right now it's very buggy strafe jumping is better than blink I hope it happens

@@wilburwilliams36 resilience isn’t counting correctly on arc warlocks or titans, even if you run 100 resilience it will give u 0 damage resist
Idk dawg, this is a fantastic class and always has been. Low skill players just can't take advantage at all and need it handed to them
You're acting as if we had blink before...pre 3.0 and the super's powers are all combined now making it even deadlier
now that we have all the 3.0 classes would you mind doing an updated pvp guide for all of them. some playstyles and builds again. I liked the old ones but now that we have everything I'd love to hear your updated thoughts. I think you could do a damn good one for pve as well!
I’m planning to do a subclass tier list again soon!
@@PattycakesGaming great! can't wait. I love the guides. have used them to keep my pvp game fresh and improving!!!
Oh god, now the hunter content creators are gonna start doing the blink clip transition thing too. I did not forsee this consequence.
Hahahha
Liars handshake would go absolutely insane with this build
i've been enjoying Assassin's cowl.
Why could you be guarding when you can dodge for almost complete DR
@@oldsaddad72743.0 kinda removed that, or at least, you have to get a kill to do it now
I've been a bit iffy with Hunter, I'm awaiting to see some builds that aren't Liars Handshake lol.
Yeah hunter needs some more arc modifying exotic armor
Assassin's Cowl is super good rn
Could try to piece together a Lucky Raspberry build.
@@ForeverLaxx arc bolts and cold heart. Grenade jolts target, killing target with arc energy weapon creates blind explosion as well as ionic trace. Idk.
Wai-
If I'm Using The Blink
Then Should I Use ST0MP-EE5 Or Liar's Handshake?
Hopefully the new hunter super gets a cooldown buff because well i see it as a good alternative to countering wells and getting capzone lockdown
Anyone else think blink feels FUCKING AMAZING!
The changes help so much!
No. It's awful. What are talking about?
@@FlashesSoccer011 strafe jump is still by far the best movement option. Blink is extremely mid rn unless hunter gets a blink exotic like warlocks
If i run dragons shadow what should I use instead of spark of momentum?
6:04 what’s the chest piece? Looks dope
Have you a discord to see all your builds ?
Indeed it is.
So fun.
this build with wormhusk crown🤤
Get liars handshake then we can talk about arc
Wanted to relive my old lucky raspberry arcvolt days and tried it, and wow arcvolt does like no damage in pvp (hadn’t tried it before arc 3.0). Kinda sad about that
They nerfed skip grenades surprisingly hard a season or two ago, kinda surprised.
Have not yet played Titan but really happy about hunter blink, the new hunter super, all classes getting combat meditation, and the new warlock slide/teleport lightning melee
Yeah they felt kinda weak even with shinobu
Pls let this be meta next season and give us an exotic the makes tempest strike either one shot or shoot 3 strikes out like mobius quiver
Is blink really better than just strafe jump?
I feel like tempest strike is terrible and the worst aspect. Once you’re amped you get DR which is why flow state and lethal current are the best combos I feel in pvp
What do we think of the dragons shadow? I feel like that would be great here
Always a good choice too!
He- i mean oh yeah
Def maining stasis this season if immortal arc staffs are everywhere
What sidearm is he using?
What Side Arm is that??
IF you run gamblers dodge I wouldn't worry about melee cooldowns lol
What mods and subclass armor do you think would work for this build?
That DR is way more than it was before. Just FYI
Dance machines check :D
I hope the blink gets a little buffed all they need to do is make them more like a jump so that we can either blink like jumping works or they should add 3 charges so that we can blink mid right now it's very buggy strafe jumping is better than blink I hope it happens
Link to Maki's content?
Arc strider can survive 2 nova bombs at once when dodging
No liar's handshake?
Now I wish Bungo would rework Blight Ranger into a hunter's version of Astrocyte Verse.
Liars Handshake is good for small maps with tight spots
What's your FOV at?
