You missed one: If there's some bullshit going on in the Tower, you HAVE to join in. Even if you're in a hurry or have a team waiting for you. If there's a bunch of guardians running around ducking and standing up, you do it too. If guardians are forming a big band consisting of emotes, you better slap on your best music-related emote too. The only exception is that if someone is doing the colored ball challenge, DO NOT INTERFERE.
It gets worse when team"mates" ask you to use lunafactions with it. They ruin both your sanity by enforcing the most boring super in the game on you, alongside with one of the worst looking exotics to pair with it.

I also run void hunter when we are attempting day 1's. If my mans willingly puts the well AND lunafactions (after the nerf to starfires) and literally never complains, then its just complete disrespect to not go the ideal version of your class for them. Hell, if i had divinity id be the div user, but we have a dedicated div user, and he happily does it. And its not because hes the weakest member of the group, not by a longshot. If he needs to carry he will carry. Our group is just full of people who know we are a team and dont mind not having the MOST FUN but atleast making sure everyone is up to snuff. If they want me to take a single tether even tho i can dish out more damage with orpheus and my triple shot? So be it. the tether lasts longer and lets everyone do more damage. My burst is lower, but everyone elses damage is higher as pay off. I guess its like that all around. Our individual numbers go down, but the team numbers sky rocket.
The Protect the new light rule is one of my favourites. I have been a Hunter main since D1 dark below and it always warms my heart to see new players running about the cosmodrome for the first time like i did all those years ago. Ill usually jump into whatever public event they are doing and show them how to make it Heroic, give them an In-game hug at the end and head off to do what i was there to do. Gotta protect ya guardians out there :)
I often go into The Disgraced strike specifically to give new lights a great first strike experience. This game needs all the new players it can get and I remember 1000s of hours ago when I was new having to run after higher level players killing everything before I can get to it thinking what the hell is this game. New Lights need help and encouragement.
The Vex portal in Garden is my favourite one. I'll even go through it first because they think it's a trick, but if you walk slowly, you can just stand on the edge of the portal. Meanwhile, they'll just jump through it like the previous rule said and fall to their doom 😅
i love doing exactly this, i always stay on that ledge just after you teleport and crouch so teammates just run right over me, funniest shit to do to someone in lfg
Wall of punchy doors in Pit is my favorite. You gotta tell time that they have to figure out which door is the right one. Just keep trying doors until you get it right man, only way to do it.
my favorite way of doing this is to just hit the new lights with the old "follow me" and use warlock strafe glide to jump through, hover for a sec, then come back to give the blueberries that wonderful false sense of security
Use your light to keep the kinderguardians safe. Don’t look down on a fellow guardian unless you are helping them to their feet and handing them their weapon to get them back in the fight.
I’m still very much a new light despite me having a lot of good things in the game for instance triple stats so my veteran friend always flames me for not know all the bosses moves etc 😭

I spend my time doing dailies, solo campaign and unranked Crucible lmao
For the new light Warlocks, you don’t have to run well of radiance. It’s something the community asks for consistently but not at all an obligation. Most will need it because survival skills in the player base is terrible. But always remember, it’s your choice. They can’t rage if you have other classes you’d like to use. Just be mindful it might hard to find a group if you’re solo, though.
For new light Warlocks, I'd say focus on learning Voidwalker first, it has the best sustain with devour and is just great at dishing out damage in general. Remember the golden rule, look out for number one.
I don’t even notice when people don’t run it. I’d actually rather them not. I hate when people say warlocks have to run well of radiance because that’s not why I play warlock.
@@7ukaa Voidwalker requires the least amount of complex buildcrafting. It is THE BEST class for new warlocks, no question. There is a reason Vanilla D2 gave it to you FIRST
Whenever I sherpa Last Wish, after Shuro Chi I tell new lights that if they walk down the stairs right after, they get an emblem. They get to the bottom and say "I didn't get it" and I'm like "Well you didn't touch each and every single step, you gotta do it again" lol
Also, I'mma add one. Always wait for your teammates in dares. If they fail the jump in the beggining, wait for them to do it again. Wait. Be a gentleman and that daree game is gg.

as long as I participated in D2 raids, I have always been the Warlock with the Div, well and Phoenix Protocol. It's the only thing people asked me for 😅since I'm willing to do so in contrast to the majority

Okay so here we go, I have an amazing Divinity loadout. Triple 100 for well, nade, and resilience. I have the cenotaph mask and a few other handy items. I personally love running Divinity. I know it’s not the best weaken option anymore but the huge crit is amazing for your team and it still hits well on its own. But I’ve also practiced the art of throwing a nade after reload perfectly and getting a stray rocket shot. Using Div is an art
When I played D2 religiously (mostly from Forsaken to the end of WQ), I always had an unreasonabke urge to help new lights in any way possible. This led to the creation of my favorate playstyle, the Pocket Medic. A Hunter class setup whos sole objective was to revive downed players in as speedy of a time as possible. The launch of strand brought this build to it's peak before I lost intrest in grinding away at the game all the time.
Some rules you forgot: - If your in a 1v3 in trials, you cant clutch, and they have bubble titans just kill yourself, don’t go for the clutch if they are just gonna use u for super. - if your not running meta make sure to complain because people are meta slaves (pvp) -if you are running meta complain to your teammates for running goofy builds (pvp) - If your an experienced pve player always try to make life as easy as possible for whoever your raiding with + an added bonus if you impress the new lights with a crazy skip or trick. (My favorite tricks for impressing the newlights: blinkskating the king fall parkour, solo oracles, duo chasm, and going as fast as possible in Vow for no reason.
omg my friends and i 4 manned vow on day 1, needless to say, going through with just a 5th person had us feel like we were speedrunning LMAO it was my GF and shes not bad at the game by anymeans, but my god, when we go through vow we are ZOOOOOOMING lmao not even on purpose. Callouts and everything just be instant. Must be ptsd from all those god damned wipes day 1 lmao
protect the new light is one of my favorite mini games when i am doing weapon bounties or can’t sleep. it always entertains me when i get matched with new lights in strikes. I try to make sure they get the highest kills
When you got to the "You must emote on the final chest. Bonus points for spamming your abilities, super, and heavy/special ammo" I was like "He's right, though, I must do this.... I can never not do this..."
I like to stop and salute new lights when I run into them at the EDZ or Cosmodrome. They must be wondering what the heck a random player was doing that but they don’t know the huge adventure/grind they have ahead of them if they decide to continue playing D2 😊
For jumping through portals, there was a glitch i think with Eris' HELM portal where when i jumped through i didn't teleport and just hit the wall behind it.
I usually don't follow the "rules" of a community, but these are too good to pass up. When Samus, myself, is showing others or Sherpa a raid or something, I do these as well.
Especially tell other people to get their damage up if you didn't actually get to a damage phase but you did get a tiny bit of damage through the mechanics so its effectively your 0.1% compared to their 0.0%.

Going somewhere like the cosmodrome and doing public events with new lights when you have high level gear is so fun, watching them be in awe after seeing you instantly kill an entire wave is such a unique feeling.
When it comes to the “he’s one shot” usually if the opponent isn’t one shot when you see him then he’s already regened bc you were to slow or he ran to a healing nade or rift. I never have used that callout unless shields are destroyed and usually tm8s are to far and he regens by the time they are there. You should only commit to a one shot callout if 2 conditions are met usually. 1 you know your tm8 well and how they call things out bc everyone is slightly different and 2 if you are less than roughly 20 meters from tm8 then you have the go ahead if both are checked if not well then it’s your call in the moment. Anytime I follow those 2 rules I usually end up with a cleanup kill 80-90% of the time. Not sure how good that advice will work for others but that playstyle was enough to 2 man to ascendent. (Yes Ik I focused on one of many points just countering with my experience and what has worked for me.)
exactly, If they call out hes 1 shot, you have 4 seconds at most before hes at full hp and people underestimate how long it takes to get to the enemy. If they call out he's one shot and you cant turn the corner and shoot, its too late. If you are further than turning the corner and you commit, at that point its your fault.
On the topic of Well, I think it doesn’t need a nerf until other support supers are buffed, or we get new support supers. If we could, say, shoot through a Ward of Dawn, then we’d have options. Well is only really good because it’s the only real support super. When you really think about it, if Well gets nerfed, people are still going to take it in to raids as the primary option. You can’t nerf things without providing some sort of alternative and Ward of Dawn just ain’t it unless we get a buff or exotic that allows us to shoot through it.
weapons of light no longer stack with weaken. they are now in the first column. INSTANTLY void hunters will become the new well-locks and that frees up the other classes to run NOT well/bubble (though, realistically, im pretty sure my 3 man will still pull out the well and bubble just for when my tether runs out. Buffs are buffs.)
Shooting through WoD would be great, but that's why we have Sentinel Shield now. It may not provide as much protection but you can still provide protection, from the front in a wide area, as well as it buffing shots that go through it, I'd say throw on Ursa Furiosa but looking at the exotic now (As I haven't used it for a good while) It seems like they changed it. I remember it providing super energy while you're super was active, which could extend how long it lasted, but it seems either I'm misremembering it or they changed it like I said to only provide up to 50% of your super bar after it ends.
as a div main, my divinity is already equipped and ready to go without my team having to say anything, yeah i dont have funny dps numbers but i set the bar for being an waste if anyone dps numbers lower down anywhere near mine, and secondly i dont have to worry about out dps'ing anyone else to be the best because im still contributing in a very helpful way, not to mention mastering the tricky div tap to maximize ammo usage perfectly without losing its crit cage

1:44 Warlock main here. I do have a Healbot build with Well of Radiance, being Phoenix Protocol/Lumina, but I also carry Promethium Spurs for if there's already a WoR Warlock in the group, that way I can provide some extra burst DPS and clearing ads means I can act as an offhealer in a pinch thanks to my daybreak kills creating rifts. I usually only run healbot if I have a friend or two with me though, since most blueberries just... run out of the well, even during boss fights. If I'm rolling with Blueberries, the Stormdancers Brace and Stormtrance is coming out, or geomag stabilizers if I want to melt the boss with chaos reach. For Contraverse Hold comes out for Voidwalker, and Claws of Ahamkara for Stasis/Strand.
i had a blueberry well lock in terminal overload. i was a strand hunter running triple arc surge, star eater scales, and had my izi/hothead on me. i wasnt even doing terminal overload, but i heard a well drop in the distance and i grappled all the way over there, landed in the well and absolutely delted the final boss LMAO i stuck around for another round and they stayed on well lock and was just supporting me. We did a few rounds of terminal overload. So, i cant speak for everyone, but im sure im not the only hunter player out there that appreciates blueberry Wells. Yall enable us, and from how that person was talking, i think they really enjoyed having someone always in their wells and actually dealing damage.
I have found that a lot of my friends will go AFK to go to the restroom or go get food. I don’t think anyone has come back to their guardian being alive
i mess around on cosmodrome all the time cause its a easy way to speed through the battle pass well and from time to time I help new lights find the enemy loops where you can basically keep running in a circle and speed through weapon kill challenges like "get 40 hand cannon kills" I don't know if it helps them but it makes me feel good.
You forgot one of the best ones! After the taniks reborn encounter when you have to drop down in the floor and run to the airlock, you HAVE to get there first and throw glacier grenades and/or use eager edge swords to block everyone else from getting to safety. Also, I often say “welp, there goes our petras” after the first death especially if it’s any other raid but last wish.
During a Last Wish run you need to tell blueberries about the secret emblem unlocked by slowly walking down the staircase after Shuro Chi, jumping or sprinting will lose it and you have to go back up and start again.
Snap on tables for your chair on raid nights are so goated to hold your food or snacks or just to provide more ways to rest your hands. I personally get tired of sitting in one place too long so I keep a fidget toy and snacks
If I ever get teabagged on in PvP, I take every single chance to teabag back. If I’m way up close, I even go the extra step to do the Selfie Emote with their ghost
I disagree with one of your rules. I think it’s an unwritten rule that you can’t bring food at the start of something like a raid so you can annoy everyone by getting up to go get some right after a wipe. You can start with drinks, especially alcohol, but no food.
As someone who had a warlock phase, I will never talk shit to voidwanker or other subclass unless they aren't holding their own. If the team wipes a few times I might suggest well, but I know how annoying it is to have everyone going REEEEE because THEY can't stay alive without YOUR well.
A couple new lights were doing the walker tank and I was doing bounties 😂 and so I thought oooooooo tank kill it no intention from me to impress at all just kill stuffs so this bit reminds me of that and gives me a giggle
The fun rule is the reason that I only play PvP when momentum is around. I’m just trying to meme around with Cerberus +1 and skyburners. If I do that in normal PvP there’s just no chance I’ll be anything other than bottom of the leaderboard

I don't care if people steal my tangles when I'm running Titan or Warlock, but DO NOT take my tangles if I'm playing Hunter. I know they're fun to throw and it's hard to resist, but trust me, a Hunter can do more with them than you can. We can turn them into spinning beyblades of death, you cannot. If you still want to throw things and make explosions, just equip one of the orb generation mods from the seasonal artifact. It's super easy to make exploding orbs, especially if you're running a solar subclass with Sunshot.

Off-main jump deaths are definitely a thing. As a warlock main, my biggest fear when I switch to Titan is a gap longer than my single jump. 😅

Div with pyrogale is pretty good too. Able to keep up with dps in a phase w/o sacrificing damage.

This led to the creation of my favorate playstyle, the Pocket Medic. A Hunter class setup whos sole objective was to revive downed players in as speedy of a time as possible. The launch of strand brought this build to it's peak before I lost intrest in grinding away at the game all the time.
As a warlock player I go out of my way to never have a well build at this point
Some rules you forgot:
- If your in a 1v3 in trials, you cant clutch, and they have bubble titans just kill yourself, don’t go for the clutch if they are just gonna use u for super.
- if your not running meta make sure to complain because people are meta slaves (pvp)
-if you are running meta complain to your teammates for running goofy builds (pvp)
- If your an experienced pve player always try to make life as easy as possible for whoever your raiding with + an added bonus if you impress the new lights with a crazy skip or trick. (My favorite tricks for impressing the newlights: blinkskating the king fall parkour, solo oracles, duo chasm, and going as fast as possible in Vow for no reason.
omg my friends and i 4 manned vow on day 1, needless to say, going through with just a 5th person had us feel like we were speedrunning LMAO it was my GF and shes not bad at the game by anymeans, but my god, when we go through vow we are ZOOOOOOMING lmao not even on purpose. Callouts and everything just be instant. Must be ptsd from all those god damned wipes day 1 lmao
I confuse new lights with the wizardry of sparrow flight on a daily basis.

protect the new light is one of my favorite mini games when i am doing weapon bounties or can’t sleep. it always entertains me when i get matched with new lights in strikes. I try to make sure they get the highest kills
When you got to the "You must emote on the final chest. Bonus points for spamming your abilities, super, and heavy/special ammo" I was like "He's right, though, I must do this.... I can never not do this..."
I like to stop and salute new lights when I run into them at the EDZ or Cosmodrome. They must be wondering what the heck a random player was doing that but they don’t know the huge adventure/grind they have ahead of them if they decide to continue playing D2 😊
Played since Alpha, never used Dim once.
For jumping through portals, there was a glitch i think with Eris' HELM portal where when i jumped through i didn't teleport and just hit the wall behind it.

As far as multiplayer emotes, I typically use the cowbell...
In the tower I normally jump down staircases and run on railings.
I usually don't follow the "rules" of a community, but these are too good to pass up. When Samus, myself, is showing others or Sherpa a raid or something, I do these as well.

When ever someone tells me to get my DMG up, I just go "okie dokie," and use chaos reach instead of well without telling them

Especially tell other people to get their damage up if you didn't actually get to a damage phase but you did get a tiny bit of damage through the mechanics so its effectively your 0.1% compared to their 0.0%.
@@BirdMoose this is a must in my group for Caretaker. Usually if we mess up the symbols and wipe, whoever was dealing with the Caretaker gets to have a field day lol what makes it better, is its usually our Div guy, so we cant even tell him anything cuz he will revoke our div privileges D: lmao

Going somewhere like the cosmodrome and doing public events with new lights when you have high level gear is so fun, watching them be in awe after seeing you instantly kill an entire wave is such a unique feeling.

When it comes to the “he’s one shot” usually if the opponent isn’t one shot when you see him then he’s already regened bc you were to slow or he ran to a healing nade or rift. I never have used that callout unless shields are destroyed and usually tm8s are to far and he regens by the time they are there. You should only commit to a one shot callout if 2 conditions are met usually. 1 you know your tm8 well and how they call things out bc everyone is slightly different and 2 if you are less than roughly 20 meters from tm8 then you have the go ahead if both are checked if not well then it’s your call in the moment. Anytime I follow those 2 rules I usually end up with a cleanup kill 80-90% of the time. Not sure how good that advice will work for others but that playstyle was enough to 2 man to ascendent. (Yes Ik I focused on one of many points just countering with my experience and what has worked for me.)
exactly, If they call out hes 1 shot, you have 4 seconds at most before hes at full hp and people underestimate how long it takes to get to the enemy. If they call out he's one shot and you cant turn the corner and shoot, its too late. If you are further than turning the corner and you commit, at that point its your fault.
On the topic of Well, I think it doesn’t need a nerf until other support supers are buffed, or we get new support supers. If we could, say, shoot through a Ward of Dawn, then we’d have options. Well is only really good because it’s the only real support super. When you really think about it, if Well gets nerfed, people are still going to take it in to raids as the primary option. You can’t nerf things without providing some sort of alternative and Ward of Dawn just ain’t it unless we get a buff or exotic that allows us to shoot through it.
weapons of light no longer stack with weaken. they are now in the first column. INSTANTLY void hunters will become the new well-locks and that frees up the other classes to run NOT well/bubble (though, realistically, im pretty sure my 3 man will still pull out the well and bubble just for when my tether runs out. Buffs are buffs.)
Shooting through WoD would be great, but that's why we have Sentinel Shield now. It may not provide as much protection but you can still provide protection, from the front in a wide area, as well as it buffing shots that go through it, I'd say throw on Ursa Furiosa but looking at the exotic now (As I haven't used it for a good while) It seems like they changed it. I remember it providing super energy while you're super was active, which could extend how long it lasted, but it seems either I'm misremembering it or they changed it like I said to only provide up to 50% of your super bar after it ends.
as a div main, my divinity is already equipped and ready to go without my team having to say anything, yeah i dont have funny dps numbers but i set the bar for being an waste if anyone dps numbers lower down anywhere near mine, and secondly i dont have to worry about out dps'ing anyone else to be the best because im still contributing in a very helpful way, not to mention mastering the tricky div tap to maximize ammo usage perfectly without losing its crit cage

Warlock main here.
I do have a Healbot build with Well of Radiance, being Phoenix Protocol/Lumina, but I also carry Promethium Spurs for if there's already a WoR Warlock in the group, that way I can provide some extra burst DPS and clearing ads means I can act as an offhealer in a pinch thanks to my daybreak kills creating rifts.
I usually only run healbot if I have a friend or two with me though, since most blueberries just... run out of the well, even during boss fights.
If I'm rolling with Blueberries, the Stormdancers Brace and Stormtrance is coming out, or geomag stabilizers if I want to melt the boss with chaos reach.
For Contraverse Hold comes out for Voidwalker, and Claws of Ahamkara for Stasis/Strand.
i had a blueberry well lock in terminal overload. i was a strand hunter running triple arc surge, star eater scales, and had my izi/hothead on me. i wasnt even doing terminal overload, but i heard a well drop in the distance and i grappled all the way over there, landed in the well and absolutely delted the final boss LMAO i stuck around for another round and they stayed on well lock and was just supporting me. We did a few rounds of terminal overload. So, i cant speak for everyone, but im sure im not the only hunter player out there that appreciates blueberry Wells. Yall enable us, and from how that person was talking, i think they really enjoyed having someone always in their wells and actually dealing damage.

i mess around on cosmodrome all the time cause its a easy way to speed through the battle pass well and from time to time I help new lights find the enemy loops where you can basically keep running in a circle and speed through weapon kill challenges like "get 40 hand cannon kills" I don't know if it helps them but it makes me feel good.
You forgot one of the best ones! After the taniks reborn encounter when you have to drop down in the floor and run to the airlock, you HAVE to get there first and throw glacier grenades and/or use eager edge swords to block everyone else from getting to safety.
Also, I often say “welp, there goes our petras” after the first death especially if it’s any other raid but last wish.
I will always break the rule of be a welllock until we encounter something difficult, then I'll be a medic

During a Last Wish run you need to tell blueberries about the secret emblem unlocked by slowly walking down the staircase after Shuro Chi, jumping or sprinting will lose it and you have to go back up and start again.

I disagree with one of your rules. I think it’s an unwritten rule that you can’t bring food at the start of something like a raid so you can annoy everyone by getting up to go get some right after a wipe. You can start with drinks, especially alcohol, but no food.

As someone who had a warlock phase, I will never talk shit to voidwanker or other subclass unless they aren't holding their own. If the team wipes a few times I might suggest well, but I know how annoying it is to have everyone going REEEEE because THEY can't stay alive without YOUR well.

I really wish ward still gave a slightly better damage buff compared to well. I used to love running it to free up our warlocks but now there’s no point

I don't care if people steal my tangles when I'm running Titan or Warlock, but DO NOT take my tangles if I'm playing Hunter. I know they're fun to throw and it's hard to resist, but trust me, a Hunter can do more with them than you can. We can turn them into spinning beyblades of death, you cannot. If you still want to throw things and make explosions, just equip one of the orb generation mods from the seasonal artifact. It's super easy to make exploding orbs, especially if you're running a solar subclass with Sunshot.
