Nobody eants to have to individually upgrade gear for every one of their alts to make them playable at level 70. The cloak was supposed to be the thing that did this. Instead they shoehorned in ridiculously overpriced gear upgrades and the only way to even play your level 70 character is to purchase those. Which means the game is literally just level alts and buy mounts and cosmetics because you cant play with any of your level 60+ characters. The closk maxing out at 346 ilevel is nonsense too. What a stupid mechanic.
Well said! People tend to be dramatic. It's awesome that they made WoW remix just a few things that hopefully they fix when they do it next time. The whole purpose of this mode I think is to make people feel good and the main thing that doesn't feel good about this is to choose to spend bronze either on your gear progression or the mounts and mogs... Oh well, at least they try
I don't see the issues with the cloak across alts. I have managed to level a few alts up to level 70. I don't have any issues with the cloak because it did what I want to do is help me level up fast alts.
@NUTZJ98 I get that but for me. I wasn't concern with upgrading my gear because I play mop when it came out years ago and I just want to level alts up fast. That was my concern. There are video to help maximize level up many alts fast in remix too
What doesn't make sense to me is that we are still gaining XP threads at 70. It would make more sense to gain Bronze threads at 70. It nearly fixes the issue people have with grinding bronze, as as long as you put in the work, your going to become really powerful. The problem is that they are trying to get people subbing back for 3 full months of content. I've played since the launch of the remix and I'm already bored. I'm literally only playing until I finish the story quests, and get the Remix only items, leaving everything else.
This event had the chance to be awesome... But Blizzard being Blizzard, it's been poorly implemented, and vaguely explained. I was really excited for Remix, now it's just MEH from me.
I literally made 8 level 70s playing part time. It's super easy to level up alts. All this gear goes away and my highest thread wad my DH with 50k threads
150 agility at level 10 is about double or triple what a normal level 10 would have and main stat is always more important than the secondary stats. I do understand the misunderstanding. I too was like WTF then I realized that I was one-shoting everything as I leveled until I hit higher level. It would be nuts to have a level 10 with 3000 stam, 2000 primary stat, 500 all secondary stats.
I agree it would be totally nuts but I think that's what these type of game mods its all about. Its already broken now no matter what blizz does at this point... why not make it crazy all the way.. Before all of this started I thought its gonna be cool that all your characters work towards one powerful piece of gear, make you want more to play one your alts.

But do you all NOW know about all the „tricks“ to level up alts? Because when this vid came up (15 days into the Remix) most of the players worldwide already knew about the frog farms, the starter account leveling. Heck, in the first week alone there were already players soloing raids, speed running dungeons.
Made a paladin, went holy spec, got to 25 in about 30-40mins via instances / some questing, did normal raids one after another generating 12% exp for each boss, did the raid finder wings once each as i went, hit level 70 in under 3 and a half hours played time I think the speed in which you level is very much dictated by what you do to get those levels i hit level 70 at 550% exp gain xD
True, you got to know all the tips and tricks. I don't think I have 550% on any of the characters. :D To bad when you hit level 70, that stat becomes useless.. Not like its a huge thing but just a feel bad mechanic in my opinion..
i hate blizzard, but damn wtf are u crying about? its so fking easy to level up alts, even if you do the normal way you need only 5-6h, why even complain????
Great vid, someone at least trying this out, I was confused about the cloak, my alts had even weaker cloak. I thought we are getting same cloak on all characters, just regular BS
let me clarify that for you mate. Just cause you assume something and it turns out to be different from your expectation, thats not a lie. Its just YOU not doing your research and then blaming it on others. Not a good trait to have mate.
I don't think your average WoW player researches every single thing. If its a good game it shouldn't be necessary to research things at all. They should be more specific in their promotional materials if they don't want it leave to wrong interpretation. There are tons of people who thought the cloak would work differently.

I was playing with a friend's fresh character after i had done a bunch of things at lvl70, and i was just way above anything he could do, like twice his hp when he was a tank 4 levels higher than me. The cape scaling at low levels is fine. I'd say the problem comes around lvl 50-70, where your stats just do not catch up with the content. There IS a problem with the cape scaling, but you're complaining about the wrong thing here. I'd say the game should just uncap the cape at level 60, and that'd be all Pandamonium needs.
It would have been fine if the cape scaled gradually as you level up but my problem with it is that the capes are not connected at all. This whole cape thing would be much more enjoyable if all characters could have worked towards this one cape. Instead you get this base cape and level the cape again and again on each character. BTW that slight upgrade on cape was from looting stuff not scaling.. At this point I think Pandamonium is far too gone but hopefully they do better next time.
It takes people under 3 hours to level an alt in Remix and people one shot everything, this excessive whining over something that was never said is getting a bit ridiculous now.
clearly you never watch anything blizzard puts out cause they did say the power from your main goes to the alts to lvl them up fast. so yes it was said you're just too stupid to understand basic English

If you don't care about doing it in one sitting, I'm sure you could doing it under 3 hours of /played without the XP/Mailbox by doing just the one, 6 boss raid a day then logging out. Getting +72% to XP in 20 minutes is insane and is still way faster than rolling an Alt and leveling from 1-70 in Retail.

They didnt lie, they told it was like this since day 1. Also is super fast to lvl up in Remix with that cloak. Just queue HEROIC dung. Is at least 2x faster than retail. The down side is that u need to wait 3 months to get the chare XD at least you get around 80k BRONZE from 10 to 70. only takes like 5 hours max ( faster with tank/heals queues)

This is literally the most braindead video ive seen in a minute and im not even defending blizz. It took me literally 4 playtime hours to level up my last char. My main soloes heroic raids. Not a single frog or goat killed. What is it that you're all not understanding or missing at this point about the gamemode?
You still end up with a way weaker cloak... Almost feels pointless to level those alts, especially if you already have max characters in retail. I bet you probably don't want to do the same thing for each of your alts that you did with your main character..
@BaconBootsBronco of course I don't and I wouldn't even want to. I don't think anyone would. The cloak is not what gives you power, the gear is. The cloak for me is simply something that allows you to level up faster and that's it. I'm on my 6th alt right now with literally 0 effort. Everything is lightning fast, I have in every alt over 100k bronze by the time I'm 70 and it takes less than 5 hours on average (I do play healer/tanks for faster queues so a dps will prob take twice as long). Yall acting like this is going to be here forever. Use it for what it is: level up alts fast. Everything else is a bonus for me.

What you don't seem to grasp is that the basic premise of the cloak was such that it was to be account bound (more or less) with whatever you gain power wise on your main's cloak (Including XP gain which Blizzard themselves said) was to be then accessible on your alt.. this was indeed a lie lol. Also let's be clear here, you can currently level an alt in retail from 0-70 in around 1.5-2h with either the BH farm or the NH farm.. so the whole "Well it only takes 5 hours" is a non point. You can also speed level alts normally with dungeon/quest farming in retail in about the same 5 hours of time providing you have Heirlooms to kill things quick and complete Dungeons faster. On top of that, when you reach level 70 on remix you're STUPIDLY underpowered (excluding cheeses which Blizz keep fixing anyway) with very few quick options to gear that alt up fast. As you said yourself "I don't and I wouldn't even want to. I don't think anyone would." (referring to gearing your alts up). Compare that to retail with the MANY incredibly fast and easy catch up and gearing methods and there's no comparison. Now if they actually did remix like it was intended where everyone is supposed to be stupid OP (including your alts) then of course people would love to gear their alts and have those alts stupidly OP as-well lol, the fact people don't seem to want to do that right now isn't because they never intended to do that but because Blizzard made it beyond grindy to do so... The simple fact is, Blizzard lied and about more than the cloak too. When the frog farm was a thing (Something that has existed since the very beginning of MOP's release BTW which is around 12-13 years ago) people were actually having fun on their characters, sure it meant you had to do mindless grinding of frogs but how is that in any way different to what we have currently? Log on to your main, hit the raids and dailies, log onto the next character, repeat, it's mindless grinding expect nerfed into the ground. There was absolutely no reason to nerf the frogs, nerf cloaks, nerf raids, nerf other farm areas (including rep ones), they should have given us what they said it was going to be, stupidly OP temporary fun. All they had to do is make other areas of the game just as worth as frogs or goats and cap the cloak like they already have, sure you'd still have people mindlessly grinding frogs but who the fucks cares at that point? If they'd buffed raids & dungeons to be comparable then everyone would be in the same position. Instead what we ended up with is you have one main character and a bunch of alts that can't do shit, where is the fun exactly? xD Now don't get me wrong, I think the event as a whole is fucking amazing in principle! I genuinely liked MOP back in the day and this is like going back to those times. HOWEVER I'm not blind to the major issues it has and how Blizzard are doubling down on nerfing fun in an event that was supposed to be the exact opposite. Let's not forget that EVEYTHING that isn't the char itself or cosmetic is going away lol. Your cloak, your gear all go bye bye. It genuinely boggles the mind that people and Blizzard are so hell bent on making this event be as grindy and "balanced" as possible, talk about missing the whole point by a mile.
