So basically every Vietnamese province has its own "specialty" food (đặc sản), some are snacks like the Bánh Pía in this video originated from the province of Sóc Trăng, and some are dishes. With research I think you can make a really interesting video, something like "ranking the specialty food of every province" :)
As a vietnamese, i very proud of cause u review our snack and bc a small % snacks made for asian taste so sometime u cant eat them(and im bad at English so if i wrong , sorry)
the king do crab cracker holds memorable memeories for a lot of people that grew up in vietnam in the 90s and early 2000s because it used to be 500 dong, so during the hard financial time it is the only snacks that kids or parents can buy.
if u dont like the chocopie, take Delipie from Ricky instead, strongly recommend. And once again, Ricky is taking the lead, they always comeup with fantastic snacks. Cheers!
Mơ chua mặn ngọt - that’s one branch of the “Ô Mai” family, usually made for medical purposes. It has countless of flavours. Definitely need to try them.
you should try the pillows with milk like cereal, its amazing. just don't buy the chocolate flavor because the chocolate kinda blend with the milk so there isn't any chocolate flavor anymore. as always i love the content
firstly im not good at english but im gonna give u a bit info about the 3rd type of rice is made a bit like popcorn but with rice they heat rice up with sand and pop them up ( they are also called "cốm gạo" if u want more info about it)
Well some that you get not for eating that way. Red guava in indonesia bright red like water melon and have to wait 100 ripe, very aromatic and creamy for smoothy. Ross apple that you get usualy for pickle or salad. The long dark red one sweet and crunchy. Langsat have another variety, very sweet and refreshing, i can eat whole kilo in one sit.
I'm curious to know what you dislike about Choco Pies. I ask because personally I like them, but I dont love them. Coming from Australia we have Wagon Wheels, which are way superior to Choco Pie so they can be a bit dissapointing, but come Tet holiday in VN, I still find I eat a whole lot of Choco Pies as every house has an open box of them. My issue with them is the biscuit is too crumbly and dry, and the chocolate is slightly dark which I dont think suits them as much as milk chocolate. They're still good as a quick choco snack, though.
For my own opinion 1. About lays, i dont think they really impressive on their flavor, its just basically the potato and the crispy taste 2. For Richy cracker, im not into the sugarless taste of that, i think its better to go with tea or milk when you enjoy that cracker 3. Brownrice seaweed. Just good 4. Cozy waffer, mehhh
Please make a video reviewing different types of sticky rice. Every day I hope you will release a new video about Vietnamese culinary culture. The dishes he introduces are all very nutritious (sometimes there are also snacks that are not very healthy) and the content he conveys is very good. I really likes your video 💗🥹
I mean these Vietnamese snack, especially those sweet salty like the gạo lức that you ate were meant to be eaten on its own. The garlic and the seaweed are what make it taste so good and addictive, my mom and brother love them. I understand that it may not fit your palate but dont pour milk in it and treat it like westerners cereals 😅 these snacks are made by Vietnamese for Vietnamese afterall.
There’s also some sweet variants of “gạo lứt” and they’re pretty decent . I don’t know what vegetarian fish sauce is or does it have that fishy smell or not but the fact that you put it into milk is … I really gave me diarrhea just by looking at it and my grandma felt the same . Anyways good vid 👍
Vietnamese have different taste buds varied from different regions. In the South, people like kind of sweet and savory food. In the North, people like food that is more subtle in flavors. Everyone has diffent tastes. As far as I can tell, you have South Vietnamese taste bud and seeing people getting mad about you not liking subtle-flavored foods kind of triggered me.

One thing I can’t handle with Asian snacks is that salty-sweet (or sweet-salty) profile. It just doesn’t hit the spot when you want something savoury.
i'm Vietnamese and also do not like the salty-sweet too, for me it's just kind of ewww
