Looking at him and at castlevania one makes you really appreciate Hellsing, Netflix is never making anything actually good it just makes you lower your standards.

And personally, i think it fits more since Seras lost his father and mother when she was 6 Years old, and seeing someone who could take care of her and teach her creates that effect.
