Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included ruclips.net/user/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
this is so much more beautiful as a solid color than when people try to antique a piece of furniture with a stress painting to make it look old, great job miss.
It looks so beautiful, love the mirror on your piece and the gold accent. I did one tall dresser a couple of months ago and painted it green with golden handles as well. I’m obsessed.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you like the mirror! It’s almost 2’ tall so it really adds that elegant factor! I love green and gold together. Such a great combo.
I absolutely love the green and your video. Thank you so much for showing your process and explaining what you were doing each step of the way. I feel more confident for my diy project now!
I love this, you created an exceptionally elegant piece, as this color can promote a boost to body, mind, and soul. I’m talking about color therapy... if the pandemic caused one to want to sleep in for the past year, a nice way to enliven the feeling of a bedroom or any room, is to choose green-the color of Spring and new life! Green also promotes a sense of calm and is related to health. Lovers of green are said to be loyal, honest, and affectionate. So, hopefully, this piece will find a happy home soon! Way to go Chic Antique!!
Your piece came out lovely Holly. This is the first video if yours I watched. I like the gold handles you picked. Adds little sparkle. I'll be watching more.🌷🌷
Thanks! The easiest way to sand those areas is to do it by hand with plain old sandpaper--no block--just the paper. I did a separate video on the mirror make over if you are interested in watching that as well.
I'm pretty much obsessed with green & gold...even though I hated the combo when they were my school colors lol. I love the way this turned out. How do you feel about using a small paint roller? I'll be doing my first piece this weekend, but I've noticed that most people opt for brushes or spray paint in the videos I've seen.
I am obsessed too! Thank you! I think it's really about preference. I prefer a brush because I find it therapeutic and relaxing to use. A roller may give you small bumps and a brush will leave slight brush strokes, so neither are perfect (but you can alway sand in between coats as well). I would say: use what you feel most comfortable with. It is 100% up to you 😊
Hi, I like what you did with this piece, since I plan on redoing some pieces of my own and have no idea what I will be doing, I subscribe to your channel, hopefully I learn something...BLESSINGS
Hi. I never want to b rude critical, because I appreciate your videos and want to learn from u, but the music makes it hard to enjoy your videos, there is so much music to choose from, please help us to always enjoy your videos and your hard work..thank u so much.
@@dreadfuldafoe True but I am also partially blind. I can watch enlarged programs. I can turn the sound down but I wear headsets to hear anything at all on full. I am sorry dreadful. I love the green and gold and she did such a good job.
Oh Kaaay Let me say this. You have great style and taste. No one can teach you that. You use top notch paint and brushes. Your paint job is only going to be as good as the materials you use. You obviously know that already. What I should have said is that your presentation could be done differently if you want to grow the subscribers and views on your videos. I paint furniture for myself and others and have taught painting (artist picture type painting) to others. In person and for quite sometime so I know a little bit about this. I too love a smooth finish and realize that it is much harder to achieve than a textured one. I spend a great deal of time painting commissions and watch RUclips videos when I take a break. I watch other painters for inspiration and motivation and always looking for new tips and techniques. Let me just say this. Face your audience more. It is absolutely necessary to engage your audience. Tell what you are going to do, how you are going to do it, what you are going to use, and why you are doing the a certain technique or using a particular product on the piece you are using. Then demonstrate the first step. Then come back to a face shot, explain the next step, demonstrate, repeat this with each step. And let your sweet personality shine. People watch a channel repeatedly not only because of the content but because they can relate to the person in the video. If you you need help with a technical issue like editing reach out to the furniture painting RUclips community. Mostly they are kind, helpful, and very welcoming to people trying to break into the RUclips world. I did subscribe and gave you a thumbs up because I know it helps you in the algorithm. I will continue to watch because I think you do beautiful work and I know your presentation and editing will improve as you do more and become more at ease with putting yourself out there. I am looking forward to watching your videos in the future.

Any tips on sanding the mirror in those tight spaces? Beautiful work!!

another great video !!
Thanks Emma ❤️❤️❤️
A good tip is to mix in some of the paint to the Boss so you're not working with a stark white that you then have to try and cover. I love Palmetto :)
Great tip-I have done that in the past! I love Palmetto too 😊
Are we going to see more green pieces now? I love how this turned out 😍
I will definitely use more green in the future! Thank you 🙏🏻

LA pintura que manejas es chalk paint. o que otro tipo de pintura puedo manejar
I only have experience with chalk paint and mineral paint, so that's all that I can confidently recommend.
Harika olmuş
It’s more aqua than green. Prime the piece first. Especially if you’re going for modern.
What was the spray bottle for?
Water! The paint I use is water based so I use the spray bottle to mist my paint brush. Spraying your brush helps prevent dragging and brush strokes.
@@ChicAntiquebyHolly Thanks! I had no idea. Learned something new.
Happy to help!
Paint shade name?
Dixie Belle Paint Company - Palmetto
Ignore the critics

Thanks for your feedback!
I recently learned that you can just turn down the volume if you don’t like the song and still enjoy watching the video 😄
Very good but I am hard of hearing and you need to talk louder and project your voice.
Thank you for your feedback!
RUclips actually has subtitles (CC) to help so content creators don’t need to blast their audio super loud and hurt other peoples’ ears 😄
Great tip! Thanks!

@@ChicAntiquebyHolly I won't bother you again. I do love the green and gold.
Lovely piece but really, we don’t need to see you paint every stroke of the brush.
You are welcome to change the playback speed to your liking, or skip through the video as you please.
It is a lovely piece but really, do you actually enjoy nitpicking someone else’s hard work? How classy of you.
You realise you have a choice don't you, can't be encouraging then say nothing!
