Hi Keith so true with this video. When I got back in to turning last November I started doing snowman Christmas trees Christmas bulbs and tops. I used pallet wood that I got from work so it did not cost anything and it was fun. Thank you for the great video Bob

Hi Bob. Sometimes it's good to get back to basics without having to worry about ruining an expensive blank! Cheers, Keith.

great job Keith. I forgot just how much fun it is to just have fun at the lathe & not work on someone's commission.

That is super neat. I love those mushrooms! When I get my lathe I will start out making beads using either wood, baked polymer clay or resin. Also might do a few pens as well. I can use the beads I make for my jewelry that I also assemble. ;) I can hardly wait though to move up to bowls etc. - Heidi

Nice job buddy, good practice, and it's always nice to think of things for the kids :) They would need something really special to get them to look up from their Pokemon go loaded devices... ;)

Yes mate, but I doubt if little pieces of wood are going to perform a miracle like that! Kids today can't seem to function if they haven't got a phone glued to themselves!! Cheers, Keith.
