i am repairing my North Face stargazing tent from the mid 80's. The water repellent flaked off and there are a few burn holes, small. I repaired the rip-stock with fabric from an old garden hat, and sewing some screening where it tore out of the seams on the sewing machine. Was going to embroider flowers where there were small holes, to fill in the gaps with thread but I will check out the glue instead. Once used silicone but it gobbed up too much aesthetically speaking. My tent is mostly screening so you can lay and watch the clouds and stars, and has an overfly which I also repaired. So glad fabric pretty much is still preserved and with lots of night memories of Hawaiian beach camping for 10 years!

I'd use a needle and thread. By the way how'd it hold up on your trip?

Susan Bailey, I thought about that... but one of the holes was so stinking big! I do wish I'd trimmed the bigger hole a little better. The Gorilla Glue is holding up quite well!

Nice job that's a pretty effective looking method. How did you get that big hole?? I also just bought a Sea to Summit "insect shield" repellent apparel haha😁🤙

I'll be curious how the S2S gear works for you... I've been a fan of their stuff for a while!

Post a video on how to recover from sleeping on a mattress that deflated over night and left my 63 year old fat body sleeping on the ground. Ouch that hurts
