My Favorite Setups
ARs: 1.3x or 1x Sight, Speed Mag, Vertical Foregrip, Muzzle Brake
Sniper, Thermal Sight, your choice of mag, Angled Foregrip, Suppressor
Gatekeeper Shotgun No Sight, Drum Mag, Laser Sight, No barrel/muzzle brake
Auto Shotgun: No sight, speed mag, laser sight, muzzle brake/no barrel attachment
SMGs + Pistols: No sight or one of the first two of your choice, speed mag, laser sight, muzzle brake
Pump: No sight or first sight, angled foregrip if with a sight laser if no sight, muzzle brake or no barrel attachment

Interesting point about the Gatekeeper's right shoulder peek: that weird triangle reticle makes it so you can virtually shoot through walls/doors when other guns would shoot the wall/door. Try hiding behind a wall/door with right shoulder peek where normally you'd hit the wall/door and try the Gatekeeper. You don't have to expose hardly any of your body and you can shoot effectively.

drum mag sniper is probably better than speed mag, i used speed early in season 1 but switched to drum because 5 rounds for sniping people out of the air and whatnot is better than 3 rounds, its not like you really need to reload mid fight like all the other guns which id take speed mag on everything else except gatekeeper shotgun

Everyone expects you to run a drum on sniper tho... so if ya reload after 3 shots with speed mag .. they gonna push you after 5 shots and you will have 1 shot left in clip if ya running speed mag

Sometimes I'm too drunk to know what to attach but I still have fun. Before I get drunk I usually win a game then its downhill 😂😂

@@VadimkaMr lol totally.. I get cool quick snipes to heads and make good decisions in the first 4-5 games and then I hit that drunk brick wall where I just stink. But then I change my tactics and play sneakier and try to 3rd party more but it's still ugly to watch 😄 but I love playing either way

Haven't got to try the Drum Gun update yet but I'm excited to try it.
Something to consider with sights on shotguns, especially with hammer pump and frenzy… you can take peaks around corners you wouldn’t be able to otherwise.
I make an exception for gatekeeper as it has that bug where you can shoot around corners already, and it’s really useful to be able to see the reticle reduction

I like the speed grip on the sniper. I like being able to strafe faster when fighting another sniper and stay scoped in.
Me personally on the warforged ar is use:
•Red dot sight
•drum mag or speed mag(still don’t know which I like more
•vertical foregrip
•muzzle break
For the gatekeeper and auto the only attachment I actually change is the drum mag
For the sniper i use:
4x optic(I might try the thermal tho)
Drum mag
Angled fore grip
Suppressor
i like the speed mag on the warforged ar more bc it already has a long reload time and a large mag size

I prefer suppressor over muzzle break because it surprises the opponent, so I get less damage during the match and in this season “3rd partying” is too annoying, it’s even better if you play duo/trio/squad.

I agree across the board, except I run drum mag on sniper too. Reload time isn’t much different, and that 4th or 5th shot in the chamber is usually the difference in knocking or killing the dude who is about to get away.
Also, I notice that I track SIGNIFICANTLY better on moving subject when I turn the thermal function off with the 2.1x sight. There’s absolutely some kind of lag that’s introduced with the thermal animation in my opinion.

What is the improves spread mod is it good for guns?
For some reason I miss a lot of shots with the 4x on my sniper but I can dot someone deep with a 1.3x 😭

Not sure what it is but i really enjoy surpressor on ars and smg i feel i hit more of my shots consistently. I feel the reduced muzzle flash let's me track better
Ive heard for an optic gatekeeper, to use the new speed foregrip for peek fights, in order to move faster in and out of cover
the thing is peek fights aren’t really happening because there’s ways to play around it. shockwaves, cars, etc. hip fire pressure is quicker and more flexible. for shotguns especially laser is so important because it reduces spread, which is shotguns main source of damage inconsistency. i do like the red dot though.
Did you test the laser attachement in creative on the Gatekeeper Jake? I always used it at the start of the season also, but then I tested it in creative and its next to no difference if ur using laser or no laser attachment, its quite odd.

I'm gonna trust your judgement I've been using the no retical and actually do better in up close fights. But I do like the red dot alot and reduced recoil
Does the zoom in factor of sights on the shotguns make the damage better at the longer end of shotgun ranges?
it doesnt change the damage but youre more likely to hit more pellets so you may deal more damage in some cases
The red dot sight on the warforged is 🔥🔥, for some reason recoil seems greatly reduced. The thermal sight on the other hand is all over the place, even in gold rarity

Had one game where I ended up looting a gatekeeper with both a sight and a drum mag. I then went to a workbench to remove the sight, but in the rush (cause I was in storm) I accidentally removed the drum mag instead. And noticed a while later, and was so confused why did I only have 3 shots XD. Still ended up being my first solo win this season so I guess it didn't really end up mattering, but still XD
I use the suppressor on the sniper less because of it decreasing the gunshot sound range, but more because the default fire sound is so loud that it hurts my ears.
Also, the speed grip is better on the dmr than the angled grip because the dmr’s ads speed is already really fast.
if the sniper hurts your ears then your game sound is too damn loud
I’ve seen a few people say they don’t like the 2.1 thermal and want to 2x scope back. I find the thermal to be better than the 2x. More zoomed visibility and the fact that players are lit up helps a lot because im old and blind.
In my opinion they should’ve just kept it and have 5 scopes. They added a new grip and didn’t remove one from chapter1.

The war forged I feel like had a lot of recoil with the thermal scope other then that it’s easy to control

I'm pretty sure the reason why your mag gets reset everytime you put an attachment on a weapon is because it updates the state of the base weapon and ""respawns"" a variant with the attachments you updated in your hands. I think that's also why you don't have a full mag with drum mag guns when respawning in those gamemodes.
We know what these attachments do but we still wanna watch your videos 😅❤
I find that a lot of the god chests carry DMRs. There will be times where I clear 75% of either the Underworld or Grim POI's chests a don't come across a warforge or SMG. Bc those biomes have the river Styx, I often will just run double the highest rarity of gatekeeper I come across, effectively having a six round mag and then upgrade one and replace the other when bunkers open.
I do not think that style of play would keep you alive very long in the SE biomes.
I almost never disagree with Jake, and I don't fully here either BUT... Regarding the sniper, I do not believe that they can be found with the 1x or 2x thermal scope like the sharpshooter from the previous season which came outfitted with the 2x ACOG. As some one who uses snipers heavily and is actively looking for them early in the game, I do not know that I would recommend changing scope during what is more or less mid game, and I like the fact that I don't have to go to a bunker if I think there is too much risk with it. Jake has done this several times this season where he starts with a frenzy and declines to change to a gatekeeper bc he is already "used to it" being in his inventory and it's play style for that match.
For the warforged I will use
Holo scope
Fore grip
speed mag
muzzle
Sniper thermal scope (good for people in bushes)
angled for grip
Drum mag
For shotie all i do is put a laser on it and drum

I mostly play squads, so i definitely prefer drum mag on pretty much every gun. I'd rather have 4 extra shots on the frenzy to better protect myself if I'm getting double teamed

Great content as always Jake. I have started running Burst, gatekeeper, snipe. I like the war forged AR but I just love the run and gun style the burst/gatekeeper has. So fun. Started putting a 1.3 on the burst just for those in between fights. Took awhile to adjust to thr triangle sight but i think i am more consistent with it bc if you aim mid body, you usually will get some headshot pellets bc of the pellet spread. Kinda weird but I swear, when you hit, you just get more consistent shots. When you miss, you miss big usually

Warforged AR: red eye, speed, vertical, muzzle
Nemesis AR: thermal, drum, vertical, muzzle
Drum Gun: red eye, drum, laser, muzzle
Harbinger SMG: red eye, speed, laser, muzzle
Thunder Burst SMG: red eye, speed, vertical, muzzle
Hammer Pump Shotgun: red eye, speed, angled, suppressor
Frenzy Auto Shotgun: nothing, drum, laser, suppressor
Gatekeeper Shotgun: red eye, drum, laser, muzzle
Ranger Pistol: nothing, drum, laser, muzzle
Huntress DMR: 4x, speed, speed, muzzle
Reaper Sniper Rifle: 4x, drum, angled, suppressor
(I put suppressors on the pump because the muzzle doesn’t change anything and on the auto because most people won’t hear it over their own shots making them not realize they’re taking damage. I don’t put it on the gatekeeper because you are unable to put it on.)

for those who have a creator code they are able to make custom games, jake simply makes one and plays solo to demonstrate fortnite stuff

never need a grip on any gun in fortnite. laser only on everything but that’s just me
I never used the mod bench last season and I haven't used it yet this season either. I just take what the chests give me. I really don't care enough to waste my time with it. Often, I just take those modded weapons from the other players that I eliminate anyway. They wasted their time so I take advantage of it. In my opinion, the mod bench is pretty much irrelevant unless you ABSOLUTELY can't find any decent weapons, which is highly unlikely. Also, "The sniper is the weapon that benefits from the sniper"? I know, I know.....

Explanation:
Deadzones on controller are currently only registering above 10% so if you have a Deadzone of 5% that first 5% of movement/aim doesn't register until past the 10%+ mark, then registers the movement/aim all at once.
If replicable, how: In the settings put the Deadzone to 5% and move the stick slightly, the in game indicator circle won't move until past the 10% but it will suddenly jump up to that 10%+ mark

Instead of doing it in game you can use a creative map like Go Goated where you can instantly and more easily custom weapon
