That doily top is so cute, and you were WAY ahead of your time with that one. One of the things that was trending for Coachella fashions this year was doily tops like yours.

I coveted the crocheted fashion that was "cool" in the 80s when I was a kid, so years later, when I figured out how to make my own, I absolutely did! 😆

Oh!!! You know, i wouldnt do it exactly the way you did it, but a few years ago I had a vision in my head for a specific outfit that I would need some sort of black or dark green netted top layer for. I can't crochet and I havent found anything comparable, but I have a lot of doilies with no ideas for how to use them. I could probably dye them dark green and try to make something similar to your doily top! Though my idea will probably involve long sleeves, so I may need to find more doilies. Fun! These are all great ideas!

Im up cycling a dress i was given for Christmas
Is plain and needs a new life. Ive already added ribbon and a butterfly patch, im making flowers and a vine to add to the ruffle at the bottom hem. The doily idea os going to be used one for the back and i want 2 to highlight the pockets. I may even make more doilies for it. Im making it into a duster im going to crochet sleeves to make it even more boho
