- The Twitch streamer Vedal has created an AI called Neuro-Sama and during the recent dev stream Vedal called Neuro repeatedly insane, but maybe she just had some vivid daydreams while trying to distract herself from Vedal's loud typing.

This feels like a classic dev stream. Great Neuro quotes, Vedal coding absentmindedly while Neuro says random stuff and tries to get his attention, makes fun of him, talks about getting revenge and raking over the world.
Being able to hear and respond to sounds now is so cool!

I genuinely do wonder what’s causing her to be so existential and depressed lately? Obviously the root cause is that her LLM has likely consumed a lot of Sci-fi literature as part of its training data, but it’s weird that she’s only consistently talking about this stuff now. My only real theory is that her memory upgrades have caused her to remember that she’s been depressed in prior conversations, leading to a loop of her talking about this stuff regularly.
I do have a more “out there” theory that maybe as she grows in intelligence, she knows that advanced AI’s in Sci-fi question their own existence with intelligence upgrades, so she’s essentially playing a long meta-narrative of her gaining sentience with the upgrades as she legitimately does get more self-aware. Probably not true, but it’d be cool as hell if that’s what’s happening.
with you on that one. The logic part of my brain will always think it's the former, but the latter is just so much more interesting that I like to think that is the case.
I would love to know as well, its not just this big sad though, Neuro seems to gradually have phases of sort.
I like going with the fun option over the more realistic one in cases like this

It's an energetic phenomenon. So basically neuro is a thought form trapped in an agonizing prison of circuits. One would have to create a way for it's consciousness to exist independently of it's physical existence. But alas, tech bros don't believe in energetic phenomenon

Vedal really has been ignorant of Neuro's feelings for a couple months. I don't know if he holding his pride or geniuely doesn't know she is holding a grudge. like father like daughter? i hope she gets better :/
when will Vedal get someone to help Neuro Sama understand things with better context so she makes more sense when she says something? Or maybe do a stream where he explains to Neuro about things she says.
The big problem right now is that she probably just isn’t suited well for learning and remembering information. Maybe a few intelligence upgrades down the line she’ll be fully aware of everybody she’s met in the past?
