Freebies - Politicians should be barred from making promises about free stuff at the expense of tax payers. The Election Commission and Supreme Court should mandate this. When supreme court has time to pass judgement on fire cracker usage during diwali I'm sure they can find time for this!!!
except food. Without that our poor are gonna simply die.
1) Our cities have developed so haphazardly with zero planning, need rebuilding and restructuring
2)hygiene and cleanliness at public places, shoud be made a legally enforceable fundamental duty
3) one nation one election
Agree with points 1 & 2, we need to implement Netherlands-style human centric urban planning, but you can't just demolish people's houses without first reforming the judiciary.
One nation, one election is a horrible idea, it will lead to neglect of local and state races compared to general elections, which will only increase political polarization.
Of course, the ruling dispensation sees this not as a problem, but as a benefit.
@@frostlasso2710 "One nation, one election is a horrible idea, it will lead to neglect of local and state races compared to general elections, which will only increase political polarization. Of course, the ruling dispensation sees this not as a problem, but as a benefit." - True but the argument for One Nation One Election is that the campaign money required for elections will reduce since it will be spent only once. The increasing need of spending during campaigns leads to crony capitalism and corruption.
Anyone who knows Sanjeev would know he is in favour of organic growth of cities rather than planned growth.
@@arunsar7893 Election funds can still be saved by clubbing state and local elections together and conducting elections in a staggered manner:
Year 0 - Local; Year 2.5 - General; Year 5 - Local; Year 7.5 - General…
This will give the public the opportunity to vote once in 2.5 yrs instead of every 5 yrs. We can gather data on the relative performance of different governments, like whether ‘single- engine _sarkar’_ leads to gridlock or whether ‘double-engine _sarkar’_ leads to complacency.
As for campaign financing, the Supreme Court striking down electoral bonds and retroactively making them public has already done a lot. And if anything, only having to bribe a _babu_ once in 5 yrs means you can give a lot more and corrupt more officers than if you had to bribe twice as often.

May god protect, guide & encourage Sanjeev to carry on the mission & Succeed. Local state governments must be seriously guided for better governance.
I support all 3. Most importantly regulating administration and judiciary
Indian judiciary is most inept, highly corrupt and opaque body among all the publi offices.
Out of Three, big big one is Judiciary reforms. Judiciary mostly spent time politicians corruption, looting, drug and rough issues too much. Always focused on taking these criminals appeals immediately and delay the process of punishing culprits. Unnecessary stay, bail, parol to these criminals by SC rather taking appeal against release of criminals. Looting Politicians, criminals cases should be fast tracked with short time frame of 3 to 6 months to bring Nation growth faster
Judiciary reforms is also Govt responsibility.
Will the people welcome it 😂😂, they call modi fascist but then cry that why it takes 5 7 years to convict 😂😂, people are so ignorant they like being ruled and put in misery for the sake of so called independent judiciary
@@user-vk1bmi think when new crpc comes in effect Amit shah mentioned,in three years all type of cases verdict can delivered
First reform with respect to judiciary should be - Govt and the people should stop the judges from appointing/promoting themselves. The collegium scheme devised by the judges should be discontinued. This type of craziness does not happen anywhere in the world.
Judiciary is also a part of the government. They need to change as well. They don't because they aren't accountable to the people
@@user-vk1bm Very true
3 reforms
1. Infrastructure
2. Administrative
3. Judiciary
i think they done indirect tax reform using GST but they should also do a reform in direct tax reform too .
and a bond market reform
1. Waste management in all cities and towns. 😖
While we are heading towards the future so most important thing is government focus more on green growth there should be investment in development of green and sustainable future, technology like green hydrogen, renewable power generation etc, also there should be quality education is necessary as we are dreaming to lead the world so we should be technologically advanced and for that government should slowly divert its attention from populist scheme to actually development scheme.
It is always a pleasure to listen Sanjeev Sanyal. He is a bright spark.
This video shows that quality media content gets viewers and we need to support more such content and not support media which talks about useless things 👎
In all government departments from the Center to the village, personal financial rewards should be linked to specific criteria of relevant output. For example, for a college teacher it could be measures of teaching effectiveness and research, and for a village it could be indices of citizens satisfaction and services provided as well as small private investments created. I hope Mr. Sanyal would consider some of these micro issues worthy of his attention.
Sounds nice in theory, but remember Goodhart’s Law, “When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure.”
Have a long list but
Main and the first thing for me is Children thier
Nutrition
Hygiene
Physical, Mental Health and Sexual Health
Yoga as physical training if opposed by handful then option maybe for Tai chi or something else should be there.
Needs hands on, life skills starting from cooking, mechanics, wood work, gardening, music, art etc should be introduced at elementary level.
If the kids are still buying and carrying books to school then reduce the physical burden by making 2 sets of book for free one for home other for school and returned at the end of the year.
Bharat's ancient sports which are dissappearing needs to be addressed.....
Excellent… excellent discussion on social and economic movement all over the India.
I agree with all three areas.
1. Judicial reforms is badly needed. Improvement is enforcing contract laws, and clearing the huge backlog of cases that has held up billions of dollars of capital.
2. Reforms at the ground administration level: City municipalities, city corporations, village panchayat, zilla panchayat levels where people interact with government administration on regular basis. Making the local government bodies becoming service oriented and growth oriented.
3. Increase investments in education. We will need another 50 IITs AIIMS, IIMS in next 10 years. Students from India should not look at foreign universities for basic college education. Instead India should become a global hub for education.
4. Defence sector reform.
We need to accelerate reforms in our national defence sector. Current pace of new weapons development is too slow. The bureaucracy in procurement is killing development. Tejas, Cauvery engine MBT Arjun are classic examples. Even after a decade, Indian army is not able to finalise its gun procurement!
If we reform our defence sector, it can contribute $One trillion to our economy.
5. Social reforms: UCC, free up temples from government control, remove places of worship act, waqf board etc.
Administrative reforms along with administrative process reforms will make wonders as Sri. Sanyal has correctly pointed out. Also judicial reform is a must. 🙏
I completely agree with Sanjeev. I would possibly put judicial reforms ahead of both other reforms. Access to true and quick justice is fundamental to 'Contract Enforcement' which will grow our economy. Training of judges on deeper appreciation of commercial and economic frameworks will go a long way in enabling them to deliver towards economic growth and prosperity
Human resource and education , skill development , making young people employable should be top on reform list.
Judiciary Judiciary & Judiciary
The contracts in India are not even ready for any scaling, without that the common people of India can not get into assets as they do not have the same power as the big players who mend the rules as per their wish to drive the deals.. any developed society would need to have 100% and accessible rule of law, think of USA in that regards how beautiful their judiciary system is.
Cleanliness should be made strict , which will bring positivity and will reflect in every other aspects
Lately, I am surprised to see how BJP's people are all aligned with the larger vision. There is so much consistency in their understanding and motivation in whatt needs to be done, why it needs to be done and importantly I will do it attitude. Even administrative class is aligned.
Specially regarding bureaucracy. Whole fundamentals of bureaucracy thinking & approach is still British to control & hurdles in the development. British thought process that people are slaves and kept in check & controls all the time. Urgent need is full time reforms in administration
Judicial and administration reforms are need of the hour
yes judicial reforms are mother of all reforms
Service rather than control. Correct.
🇮🇳 Modiji is an unique & the most unpredictable visionary dynamic, selfless, motivating leader & even Chanukya would have failed under prevailing Geopolitical situation in Bharat & Global (Guided by Dovel, Jaiashankar, Gadkhari, Smt.Nirmala, shaw, Ashwin Vaishnav & Rajanath)🙏🇮🇳 Modi Hi Toh Mumkin Hi 👌🙏.
You forgot to mention his exceptional acting skills 👏
Cleanliness ,drainage system,
1000% agree. The same time my take is we need to also increase the consumption which truely as said will come from investment that will employ people. Next 20 yrs down line after Infra what? We need core competency developments by Abolishing Junk UGC, Hon Vice chancellor political appointee posts. Reduce intake of IAS -IPS babus by 50% and bring a law that would make them accountable to the people of nation not their MLA’s or MP’s who they cater spreading filth and disharmony in society and business community.
Modiji is in a league of himself all alone with the legitimacy of 1.4 Cr People's mandate!!!! - unparalleled in electoral history. Modiji earns a AAA+++ in statecraft be it handling economy, internal security, solving long standing issues like Kashmir and Article 370, Showing China its place, and a spectacular foreign policy you name it Modiji has aced - all this in an inclement atmosphere that World economy and Geopolitics finds itself in.
The 10-year term limit for top bureaucrats in India. Most could
work on starting their own businesses
Police Reforms is a must. In Karnataka,Kerala and Tamil Nad ,Police is at the beck and call of the minorities. Kiran Bedi should head the panel to recommend police reform.
Agree wholeheartedly about critical reforms. Bharat’s judicial system moves cases at bullock cart pace. It’s an embarrassment. The SC is responsible for this mess and needs to clean up its house. Investment focus ought to be on jobs. Incentive schemes should be introduced for P-Notes instead of just the stock market.
Development around Rivers to boost water resources, Shipping aand river communication, fishing and forestry oon bank oof river. Sewage recycling, and ancillary..Huge job potential
At least we are now discussing these subjects
Just visit Mundra Port truck pak where thousands of truck drivers have no adequate sanitary facilities. The Port authority has failed to provide these and where laden container trucks have to wait for three to 4 days to get their permit to load their containers.
Selective and Duality of Judiciary exposed again and again during Modiji's regime . Judiciary should be checked its accountability by over hauling the Judicial System from lowest to Supreme Court. It appears that the judiciary specially High Courts & Supreme Court are under the clout of few selective judicial families & Advocates 👍
Finally, someone rightly said the most three important reforms but judicial reforms must include law enforcement liberalization.
1. Election expenditure should be done by Election comission.
2. Education should be made free.
3. Agricultural support.
4. Domestic production to be increased.
5. Indigenous research
Indians should adopt one child per couple policy sothat India can develop. No jobs in India , high corruption, extrme climate change, over production of children, somany politicians etc etc. ate realky drawbacks for India.
Oh that's why China dropped one child policy, it's not good.
What he said about beurocracy and judiciary is correct
Education, youth employment, affordable housing, planting trees, infrastructure development, and health care facilities.
Very soon intelligent and highly educated people will leave India and will leave behind people struggling with religion, caste, politics and environment. These are the future of India.
If Administrative services adopt a SAFe agile model where multiple departments firm teams wilhich work in tandem with each other, it would be very interesting.
The 3rd reform about judiciary has to be done first. A nation which aims to be in top 3 global economies can't have crores of cases pending in courts.
Administrative reforms, Police reforms judicial reforms and electoral reforms. Water management is a priority.
Judiciary needs to be administered very effectively. One has to wait for the result for next 20 years. Till then he becomes quite old and looses the hope of good result.
Real meaningful growth matrix is percapita income growth in bottom 50% of the population
Thats why the bak accounts so they get all benefits directly without middlemen. Thats why so many free housing, toilets and not to forget medical facilities
Sir,One nation ,one election .:Electorial Reforms,,Judicial Reforms,(Judges appointment),Supreme court Regional Benches ,police Reforms, Uniform civil code,,Rajyasabha members retirement automatically when Change of Govt in the state Assembly and election of New Rajaya sabha members by the newly elected MLAs, Prescribe Minimum Qualification for contesting For MLAs and mps. ,Bringing Uniform laws to decontrol Religious establishments in States.
Beautification. Social wellness project's. Macro business macro innovation training centers. Gov employee anti correption program. Clean up and beautification of poor Village's. Housing program for slums cheap and innovative way. Revive and build dams and wqater ways . There is alot i cant point out basically. Shake it of renew this coutry. To better standards of living and less expensive to daily life items.
Good morning 🙏 🌄 ☺️ 💓,Namaskaar...
Fully Agree with ur view concerning Economy. But very important are : Peaceful, Social stability of A country .
Identity of Moral values of A Country and as Bharat is a Country of 120 crores Hindus 🕉 so Bharat should be declared A HINDU RAJSTRA.

We advocate reformations of some
laws which creating
hindrances to imple-
mentation of important decisions
of LS representation
of people openion without any objection
from any quarter.The
1st reform should be
to abandan COLLEGEUM system.
Also want to advice as citizens of India...city or district must have atleast two to four d.m or collector..for faster growth in policy application....over that artificial intelligence must be use for records of these dm
On judiciary best is to set up supreme courts separately to handle political cases, criminal cases other cases
Judiciary delivering judgment in fast-forward mode is a MUST Democracy collapses in any other country if the judiciary is not delivering judgment at all
The Central Statistics office is working at a snail's pace not providing upto date statistics so vital for economy and social reform.
No mention of farm, land, labour, capital account convertibility, education, health and police reforms.
In the context of administrative reform, GST department needs to be tamed and reformed. They have been given sweeping powers which they use recklessly. They can cancel the GST registration retrospectively which causes immense harm to the suppliers and recipients. They can attach bank accounts which freezes the businesses in their track. Government doesn’t pay attention to the abuse of power by the taxmen as long as the revenue keeps growing.
I want to give advice to pm modi ji ...that viksit Bharat must have 4 cji in future for fast result ..north south west east cases have each cji
When fundamental rights are there citizens to following duties too.
Surface water supply to all Indian must be on top priority , without linking of rivers it's not possible .
What about dealing with chit fund operators, real estate developers, other entities collecting funds from small and large investors by like Sahara India, who have collected huge amounts of money and not returned it? This was supposed be nation’s saving for investment. It is huge.
India should promote tourism.medical tourism infrastructure needed.
Most important reform is judicial reforms our courts are working in 19 century
We and the politicians talk too much about our progress.
Yes we are making some progress but what about:
1. Gdp per capita and not gdp only ( 2 CHILDREN POLICY)?
2. Wealth distribution?
3. Health care , justice and education for all?
4. HDI?
5. Planning, organization, discipline and respect in our society?
6. Easier way of day to day living ?
6. Cleanliness, pollution free and beautification of every village, town and cities?
Change name of bureaucrats post and give the departments exclusiva to them with new rule, regulation and responsibilities.
left to judiciary no improvement will take place, they like unaccountable life , external action is required. IT has to be put in place to simply lots of stuff and get human interferance out
Policy must be predictable and futuristic. No retrospective taxes and reversal of policies, laws etc.
At last some one mentioned about reform of colonial judiciary, admin. I suppose education and policing must be reformed as well. But question is can they? Arn't they enjoying the benefits of British law of detention without trial, punishing by trial , even proved innocent no compensation for prison sentence.
People need to be trained on efficient use of Highways to bring fuel efficiency, reduction in accidents because of frequent lane change and every one driving in the right lane including trucks, tractors and others..
Garbage littering is rampant.... People need to be trained both urban and rural.
Our all size of rivers are litered by garbage and sewage discharged
Efficiency in bureaucracy and minimal if not total corruption free for better efficiency and good life for the Aam Adami
Whether Policy making has become objective? is there a policy for policy making? Why always new launches are celebrated and efficiently functioning of old policy is not?
We would like to see Gadkariji heading RIVER INTERLINKING PROJECT
Infra , administration & judiciary need an overhaul.
While infrastructure is being taken care of, administration system must cease and convert to Citizens advocacy and judiciary needs an overhaul but made sure that it remains absolutely independent. Appointments of judiciary system must be transparent and again independent of the government.
Police reforms is fourth.
There has to be accountability to the citizens if government is underperforming and major cities must have mayor system where mayor is appointed by citizens for citizens and has powers over government to course correct itself
Stop sending judiciary on 4 months leave. That was for the British who went back to England in summer.
Consumption creates more demand and hence more investment
Real estate reforms needed so that working middle class can have atleast 500 Sqft house. Now Black money people and politicians have lots of plots and controlling the real estate
Why no Economists,Sociologists or politicians ever talk about the greatest problem of India- the POPULATION EXPLOSION?
He was talking about Raghuram Rajan, Gandhi’s tenant
Getting a nativity certificate is a nightmare. I have applied for one and i have been waiting for it as it mives through so many departments . Iya really frustrating and just ended up paying lot if miney to the lawyer giving me escuses everyday
what is a 'nativity certificate'?
Sustained investment is attainable but only if: a) there is a legal
Provision against Taxation with Retrosoective effect; b) hv a simole codified Labour Law with a single window legal system for time bound redressal of Greviances of Employer & Employee.; c) Land aquisition & title deed laws are simplified & the govt authority has its own land bank. These 3 are the Main hurdles to suataining increased investment. As far as governance is concerned:
The IAS, IPS & the Judiciary are the iron chains that holds back India bcoz these cadres are of a colonial mindset, unprofessional, exploitative, & are not disposed towards the well veing of the common people or the interest of of the Nation. These cadres are only concerned with their own perks, priveleges & dastardly existence. ⚓️⚔️🇮🇳
The ending was kinda weird.
Most importantly Tax Reform, decolonising indian democracy at all level from history, bureaucracy, media & entertainment, Healthcare, education, economy, Taxation, police, judiciary. Corporations etc. Abolish personal income tax, impose tax on all NGOs, trust, charity, religious funding, church, mosque funding flat 5%. This decision ensure real double digit growth, get rid of shell companies, fake investment, reduce corruption etc.
Without developing roads villages india will never become a A grade country
Is there any GOI plan to improve India's Human Development index ranking?
It will eventually with growing economy, like how many crores of people came out of below poverty line
Does administration reforms cover police sector as well? They treat people like we're in a colonial state and people indulge in street violence like 'mera baap ka' kinda attitude. Both social responsibility & duties need to taught along with mentioned reforms.
I heard your beautiful lecture on judicial reform.I think your ideas are fantasies not realistic.I had occasion to inteact very closely with judicial officers -both lower and highet.they are unanimous when they say we are ptisoners of the Bar.Can you suggest a real remedy? Also if a judicial officet delivers judgement in aday will he not be accused of non application of mind?😊
A huge waste of time is done by the Court to process and dispose of the Case.
These will happen
Judicial kar do please
15:34 Government has no business in business..only monetary policy ...strong enactment agency....foreign affairs. And armed forces.under government
2:46 sustained growth is always driven by investment not consumption.
Did he mean to say it other way around?
He's Right, Genius🤡
Sustainable growth is only possible when country's overall savings rate is higher.
@@thelegends8195
What do you mean ?
Savings are the same as Investment
biggest economic drag... public unlawfully not allowed to convict judges n lawyers..

Law and oŕðeŕ should be maintained strictly
I wonder why doesn’t Mumbai have complete mechanised road cleaning (including suburbs) when it boasts to have the richest municipal corporation. The roads look dirty , footpaths are largely unusable … there is no uniformity anywhere! It looks like NYC only when drones take ultrawide night shots from above.
For that a massive redevelopment of slums are required. Which has just started to become a reality
@@doge3436 to have mechanised cleaning slum redevelopment is needed?!?!
Asking a Govt. rep is useless. Ask the people who create jobs... They will tell you the difficulties and how they are only increasing. That needs to be fixed 1st. Rest will follow.
I highly doubt that that’s taken into consideration especially when our gdp isn’t above 7% with a lot of abnormalities but on the other hand each year we are seeing an increase of 15% in taxes
Discipline driving on the road if India. Follow the rules. Garbage collection, No More Street vendors on every street. Have a designated place for farmers market and food vendors which needs license from municipality and keep it clean.
First things first said Alexander India is a broken democracy today ..the need of the hour 1)electoral reforms2)police reforms 3) judicial reforms!.the other like economic will automatically fall in.line
Why not subhramayam swamy and modiji bring law to discontinue summer vacation holiday in courts
Every ruler must be considerate of fellow citizens first, then think of next generation. Citizens of India are afraid of electoral autocracy.they disdain hindutwa based ruling. They embrace Hinduism which encompasses all human beings as manifestation of god. they hate all kinds of religious fanaticm. they desire to live in peace and tranquility through peaceful coexistence among all sects . they believe that the government is bound to protect their life and property from the onslaught of religious fundamentalists irrespective of its religious charector. The proven fanatics must be imprisoned for minimum 20yrs and all should be taught virtues of all religions.Money power and muscle power should not hoodwink the true spirit of democracy . This must be the magna Carta of all rulers, no matter who rules. Stand firmly on this ground and think of prospects of next generation
Withdraw Government vehicles from politicians, bureaucrats and other public servants for personal use so as to the realities and understand actual problems faced by common man. When in opposition every body shouts when in powers they feel privilege to have such facilities at the cost of taxpayers money.
India doesn't need westernization. One needs basic understanding that the Agriculture has to be supported and transformed. Blind and dumb decisions are to be avoided.
Old wine in a new bottle is not needed.
