Good tip for this robot is instead of selecting auto, select the rooms instead and click x2. It will clean both directions in zigzag resulting in a pretty much perfect finish.
Ah, that would overcome probably the biggest issue. Do you have one? What do you think of it? I'm sure other people watching this video would love to read your opinion if you write a couple of sentences! :)
Yes I have one but I can’t compare to other LiDAR vacs other than a budget one I got recently unfortunately. But it picks up well and I’ve yet to see it get stuck. The app is quite well polished and in comparison doesn’t feel like a rebranded Tuya app. Multi floor maps are handy but you have to set which floor it’s to use before you run it. The optical laser in place of a second brush does a great job in assisting the LiDAR for straight line vacuuming and manoeuvring. The only other vacs I have seen use that technology is the eufy G30 and the bagotte BG800. It’s not the quietest of robots neither in my opinion and feel they could of chose different wheel motors as them alone means I couldn’t run it at night. On max mode it’s loud but that’s the trade off with big twin suction motors I guess. I don’t have the hybrid version so can’t comment on that. In terms of mapping and sending it to a particular room it’s very good. Sometimes I think the initial positioning on start up takes a bit longer than it should, but then I don’t have mine in a optimal space around the base. One thing I know for certain is this robot has an amazing battery life, best I’ve witnessed on a robot vacuum to date and I’ve got about 8 of them (it’s a bit of a hobby). One last thing about it is it’s size, it seems bigger than most and struggles to fit between my dinning chairs. Overall it’s a good quality product and will suit most homes. As well as it’s performance it’s app is excellent 👍
Thank you so much for the detailed review... Certainly explained a lot! One thing I don't get is since it has boost IQ which detects floor types, why don't they use it for mop/don't mop when detecting carpets?
I was between this and a Dreame z10 pro. Kinda thought the dual turbine was a gimmick. Went with Z10 pro that includes a self empting bin. Very pleased.
They offered me this as a replacement to my L35 hybrid... it doesn't really seem like it's a huge difference. In fact, I'm losing the dust collector bin but gaining a bigger dust reservoir. That's pretty much it.
@@RobomateTV i really don't care about the self clean i really want to know that does the ultra do edge cleaning and does it mop a clean better than the x8 ?
Hmm suction stats aren't everything. The N8 has an auto-empty dock available and object avoidance. "Better" is still subjective depending on which features you would prefer. I would say N8 is better on thick carpets.
We didn't test the X8 specifically on this (they're all about the same these days - they usually say 2cm on the specs with a little extra in practice).
@@RobomateTV thamk you. So it can be turned on from work and be finished before my brother get homes? (This is a gift idea for him) do you have any recommended UK links please? Is it worth thr mopping element or is it sufficient to just vacuum I.e. eufy x8 (not hybrid)? Also
@@littlevoice_11 Yes it can be turned on through your phone (the EufyHome app) even if you're not home. We're in New Zealand so unsure who the Eufy retailers are in the UK sorry! I like the mopping element a lot but it depends on what the flooring of the house is like e.g. carpet to hard-floor ratio. The more hard-floor, the more useful the mop will be :)
We have too many other videos in production already to fit this in at the moment! You should get a fairly clear idea if you watch our S7 video too though
Is it new? Sounds like you have a leaky seal or something that needs looking at! The actual mopping module is a separate piece so should be easy to replace even if not new
I haven’t actually used the non-hybrid version but I thought the specs were fairly similar with the exception of the dust-bin/water container. Is this not right? I don’t understand why theyd change the suction motor etc.

Great review! Very thorough. Enjoyed watching. I ordered mine prior to this seeing this video and I do not regret my purchase at all. Thank you!
Great video, Does this mop and vacuum at the same time?
Very good review, but the music is too loud :)
Thanks Geoff... will keep that in mind in future videos!

Thanks for sharing! The self-emptying bin can be pretty handy for sure.
It’s hands down the best robot I would like to see the j7 vs this new Euffy bot
We are planning to review the j7 very soon - so stay tuned for that review!

I have never used an L35 so I can’t offer much insights. On paper it looks similar though :)
Great review, you were very thorough and detailed. Thank you very much 🧡🧡
Thanks Sam! Appreciate it :)
Nice video!
Cheers
May i know how to control the mopping water flow as the pad is getting dry after few seconds and ending up not cleaning anything
Finally found a review by a lady. What the hell do guys know about vacuuming and mopping anyway?
Runtime: 180 m, 3 hours
Cons:
No carpet detection
No anti detangle brush
No obstacle avoidance
In my region both the xiaomi mop 2 ultra and the eufy x8 hybrid are the same price which one do u recommend?
The Ultra is compatible with an auto-empty dock, whereas it isn't even a possibility with the X8 so I'd lean towards that instead
@@RobomateTV i really don't care about the self clean i really want to know that does the ultra do edge cleaning and does it mop a clean better than the x8 ?
@@crispy_toast07 In that case they're pretty similar :)
@@RobomateTV hmm oh shit i don't know what to chose now lol 😂😂 but i have one question they which one foes edge cleaning better
What is your too rated Robotic Vacuum for hard floors and a little carpet under £500 please?
It doesn't have to mop if this makes it cheaper
Hola buen día,es compatible aquí en México con las aplicaciones
Not sure, sorry :)
how to fix robo if their is error S1
Is this better than the Debbot n8 models? Suction and mapping technology wise?
Hmm suction stats aren't everything. The N8 has an auto-empty dock available and object avoidance. "Better" is still subjective depending on which features you would prefer. I would say N8 is better on thick carpets.
wht is the x8 Hybrids maximum floor height movement. I have 2 different height floors both hard floors.
We didn't test the X8 specifically on this (they're all about the same these days - they usually say 2cm on the specs with a little extra in practice).
I’m tempted by the “older “ RoboVac 35C T2117V11. Costco at £199
Can anyone tell me if the later version tested above is worth twice the price ?
If your home is small then it will work fine. But it's way less intelligent with navigation so I wouldn't recommend it in a larger home.
Is the water tank gravity fed so it'll keep soaking the pad until the tank is empty or does it electronically control the water flow?
It electronically controls the water flow so it's adjustable through the app for each room.
Can you turn this on remotely away from home via the app or Alexa?
Yes, you can!

Just make sure the mopping attachment is on and it will drive around everywhere :) It's really simple!
Less than $300 today on Amazon Prime! Think that’s a great deal?
Very good price :)
I ordered mine on Amazon a few days ago for only $207 (USD) as refurbished.
Which mop vacum robot you recommend for medium to large multifloor house
What sort of flooring do you have?
And do you have pets?
Can you compare it with robrock S7

Goodness, that music is LOUD

I wouldn’t recommend the hybrid version of the robot the other one cleans better abs it’s just over all better abs ur dust bin is bigger

Who the hell washes mop accessories in their kitchen sink? It's ironic, given that this video is about cleanliness.
Music, ...who wants music in a (how to ) video.
Thumbs down.
