  • You know you should vacuum more than you do. The problem is you have to lug out your big bulky vacuum cleaner, deal with the long cord, etc. It's just a hassle. That is where the Eufy RoboVac X8 can help you. if you thought Eufy just made security cameras you would be wrong!
    In this video, I walk you through the setup of the Eufy RoboVac X8, testing the robot vacuum as well as how to navigate the app for the Eufy Robot Vacuum.
    There is a lot more to cover than you think. It is not just about cleaning stuff off the ground. Have you ever had a robot vacuum before? What about one that maps your home? How does that work? Is the Eufy RoboVac X8 better than other options, or is Eufy just using their well-known name to sell yet another robot vacuum? All this and more are answered in this video for the Eufy RoboVac X8.

      Eufy does run promos on this vacuum pretty often. In fact they had a sale for $100 off right after I picked it up for myself. So keep an eye out over the holiday buying season I am sure they will have even better sales. I do however, understand being out of a price range for someone. This is not my first robo vac. I started off with just a simple bump around type, and if I was not picking it up to review I don't know if I could justify to my wife getting a new one. I have had a few in the past: ruclips.net/p/PLI63OqmUts-dNMM6w6ktGUDCqKpgpMAYK. But they all have good homes with family and friends. I don't want to just have them around the home not doing anything.

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  Год назад +1

      Cords can be hit or miss depedning on thickness, if they are plugged in, etc. I have had this roll over some but get wrapped up in others like cell phone cables. As for knowing if it is on the second floor after you create a map for the first time of the second floor you then just switch the map used when you bring it up to the second floor. Which is what I do and it works just fine.

    Hi - great video! I have a two-story home and was wondering how much of a hassle it is to bring the robot to the 2nd location. Is moving the charging station required? Do I have to place it in the exact same starting location each time or is it able to figure out where it is?

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  Год назад +5

      I just so happen to be moving the vacuum to do my second floor when I saw this comment. It is not much of a hassle at all, unless you have it docked under something. Even that does not make to difficult. You do not need to move the charging station to use it on a different floor in your home. You also can place the robot anywhere you want on the new floor and it will "look" around to figure out its position and start cleaning.

  • @HOMEAROMAS

    Excellent video. Thanks for all your hard work. Can I ask a question. If you move a piece of furniture after the unit has already mapped, will it clean in the area the furniture previously occupied and add that to the map?
    Cheers, Jason

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  7 месяцев назад

      I do this all the time especially around the holidays. The original map itself will not change however the robot does have lidar so if it does not see something in the location it will go and vacuum there. And then avoid where you put that piece of furniture. It just won't update the map.

      @@M_E_T_R_O__9 I have the x8 since release and I’m looking at the LR30 for a couple reasons. The x8 has extremely loud wheel motors, unfortunately this is normal which makes it quite noisy even on low suction.
      Secondly the width of this isn’t like most of these vacs and seems somewhat wider, resulting in the vac not getting between chair legs.
      Lastly mine in particular doesn’t seem to position on start up that quick and takes what I feel to long to get it’s bearings before a clean.
      I’m wondering if the LR30 uses traditional wheel motors, is the standard width like most and positions quicker.
      I like the look it has two side brushes too. Absolutely zero reviews I can find on this unit at the moment, just wish someone would post one lol

      @@rob12841 yeah i can relate, theres very little online about this model so far. I'd actually picked up the 30C model which was my first RoboVac and i love the thing... but then realised the LIDAR based ones would probably be much better for a larger flat with multiple rooms. My absolute favourite feature on the 30C is the edge cleaning mode as it goes right into all the corners and gets all the crap around the kitchen and so on.... but as i look at all the models to follow that have LIDAR, none of them seem to have this option anymore.... WHY???
      All the videos ive seen they do a nice pattern around the home but dont do an edge clean anymore, and you can't even tell them to do this...
      All im looking for is decent suction, LIDAR, 2 cleaning brushes and edge cleaning mode but cant find it..
      I feel that vacuum and mop robots should be separate devices, nobody wants a wet cloth dragged over their carpets..
