    For this price point. It should have an arm on the side that sweeps off the baseboard moldings!!!!

      They will be a lot cheaper once everyone copies the mop roller. First generation is always more expensive.

    Just got mine 2 weeks ago. It replaced a Roborock S7. I absolutely love it. Great mopping capabilities.

      I know right! Just went to IFA and saw the mopping capabilities demoed against others and it was quite impressive. Video in the roundup coming soon 👍

    I picked up this vacuum during their Kickstarter campaign, and wow, it's every bit as fantastic as you describe. I had an older Roborock before, but the difference in cleaning power between these two is like night and day-if night was a Roomba with no suction or mop at all and day was a small army of cleaning ladies on a caffeine high!

      I know right! It’s a super powerful piece of kit and one of the best performing models I’ve tested so far!

  • @Zooumberg

    The only thing I would want is it to be able to plumb into the waste and water. Apparently that is going to happen with an updated model.

    Great review Stu. It does excel in its physical appearance definitely. The main thing is that it actually does its intended job to a high standard which you mention that it does. I suppose the cost is quite high but then again if it cleans and mops expertly every time then I suppose over its lifespan then it may work out acceptable. As you say though the only possible downside is when they launch another module that they cease supplying the fluid. Think robot vacuum/mops are still a relatively new genre so only time will tell.

    • @StusReviewsUK
      @StusReviewsUK  Месяц назад

      Yeah who knows! I'd like to think if they release a second model, the cleaning solutions they have for this would be cross compatible... at the end of the day it benefits the manufacturer too! (don't have to waste on RnD and remanufacturing the bottles)!

  • @Taliseth
    @Taliseth Месяц назад +2

    Looks like a nice robot vacuum, i just wish they wouldn't dictate cleaning solutions, it's not even really about the money.
    It's more about being able to choose your own or use a solution that works well for your floor.
    Though that's very much against our Subscription based society I know.
    I do wonder though that this is a case where waiting is best, as rotating washing pads and these rolers are fairly new, so a 2nd gen version would probably be the better choice.
    Thanks for the review, especially showing the pick up on your uneven floor.

    • @StusReviewsUK
      @StusReviewsUK  Месяц назад

      That’s a thought I hadn’t actually considered. I guess with specialist floors it might not be the most suitable. Admittedly I haven’t tried my own solution in the tank yet like I normally would… certainly hesitant given the ozonation of the water!

    • @mil3761
      @mil3761 Месяц назад

      The wrong cleaning solution can clog up the pipes or foam up too much, both of which can cause problems and damage. Totally understand Eufy wanting to have only their own solution for this reason.

    • @Taliseth
      @Taliseth Месяц назад

      @@mil3761 Understandable, however some floors state the same thing, heck it may even void warranty if you use other than their product to clean. See the conundrum here? And from looking on the website of Eufy for the cleaning solution it doesn't advise what is in it.
      Of course at this point you can argue that a Robot vacuum is almost as expensive as said flooring.

    I would say at $1400.00 it's "Wallet-Breaking" to say the least. You are better off purchasing the SwitchBot S10 that self-drains and self-refills from your own plumbing and it's a lot cheaper at $1199 with a $400 discount for a total price of $799.00. Eufy makes good products but this is way overpriced. I have to say that is one beautiful looking dog.

    • @StusReviewsUK
      @StusReviewsUK  Месяц назад

      That’s the thing that this is missing - the s10 certainly wins on its multi functionality, but performance wise I’d say this performs better overall (as I mentioned with things like the mopping functionality). Whether is £400 better… well that’s up for debate!

    • @mil3761
      @mil3761 Месяц назад

      There were £200 off coupons during the UK Amazon Prime Day period. It was reduced on both Amazon and directly from Eufy. Probably similar discount in the upcoming Black Friday. Worth holding out if you can for a better deal.

    Can it be plumbed into the household waste and water supply like a dishwasher so the base station can self empty and self fill?

    One correction, it does have Lidar it's just within the body of the unit rather than having a puck on top. The front of the unit has a slit where it looks out from.

      @StusReviewsUK  Месяц назад +1

      Listen again 👀 where I’m talking about the height, I said it doesn’t have the little hat for the LIDAR that normal cleaners have, but it has the panel at the front which combines an RGB camera, dtof lidar and 3d slam sensors 👍

      Yeah, this is insane. $2,000 to $4000 for robot mowers. $1400 for robot vacuums. $70k to $200k for battery cars. $1200 for battery push mowers because they have aluminum deck that my $200 Honda had 30 years ago. This world is nuts!!!

    • @mil3761
      @mil3761 Месяц назад

      Each to their own I guess. Yes, it is expensive but everyone's cost vs benefit evaluation will be different. Depending on your own disposable income, how clean you want your floors to be and the value you place on your own time. Definitely won't make sense to some but will definitely make sense to others. Only you yourself can work out if makes sense for yourself.
