I just came across your channel today, and, coincidentally, I started a Daily Art Journal 2 days ago, using an 18-month Day Planner that has 4" x 5" spaces for each day, and I thought, "Someone needs to make these especially for artists!" You've made your own and it looks great! You've given me many ideas that I'm excited to try. The greatest thing about doing this is that it will really get me to experiment with all my supplies and color pallets that I've never gotten around to using, while stretching my imagination and honing my skills.
I have watched dozens or hundreds of grid Journal videos and for me yours stands Head and Shoulders above everything I've seen! So interesting and beautifully composed and even the pages you didn't like I thought were great! And as others said, your grandson is a natural! I am sure this video will get a gajillion views (1,059 as of Jan. 9, '28). It certainly should. I also started grid journaling in 2023. Mostly I did the spreads of 9/pg. Do you prefer those tiny squares or the larger 4 squares/pg? SO INSPIRING🎉🎊
Thank you for your lovely feedback. It means a lot. I created templates for both 9 and 4 to a page as I wanted to have some flexibility. It really worked for me. Have fun with your journal...it can be a place to play and experiment.

I really love your journaling! Even your grandson is talented! Collage is my favorite, normally. I tend to do junk journal and collage, but I have played with acrylics in the past and am wanting to learn water color so I can use them in my art journaling as a hobby. Thank you for sharing. Looks like you had a lot of fun! It looks like you have some good inspiration for larger paintings! I have been watching Jackie, too. My sketch book looks very different. I used cheap ol’ craft paint and ended up printing and stamping, all sorts of stuff. Some of the coolest ones were color explorations, purple and yellow ochers, oranges and purples, layers upon layers.
I absolutely had fun! 😀 I have scaled up a few of these and it's always great to experiment this way. Jackie has great content on her channel. As long as you're enjoying the creative process, it's all good. Have fun!

Just a suggestion...I created a 9 and a 4 window template from cheap watercolor paper. It makes it so much easier than taping off each time or measuring. Have fun!
I love everything about this, every page is inspirational. I'd like to suggest you maybe use the hashtag: #flipthroughfriday (hosted by Harmony's Creations, created by Kristina's Shack; YT friends of mine). Simply add #flipthroughfriday to your title and it may get your video in front of loads more people (though, it's clearly doing very well on its own!! That's awesome). (hahhaha, it doesn't have to be Friday 😉)
