Literally a conversation i had with a friend of mine in Highschool. And now he still randomly bops to Big Arms, Classic City Escape and Modern Crisis City to this day.
It's been well over 10 years since and despite it being 95% remixes, it's my most replayed ost. Everytime I relisten, it never gets old or tiring as if I'm hearing I for the first time despite being my 50th!

I think it's pretty mid, but compared to every other song in Sonic Generations, it's probably the weakest. But that's my opinion

My boy forgot to add one of my favorite remixed songs: Big Arms. The Big Arms theme, Classic City Escape, and All Hail Shadow are my all time favorite OSTs for Sonic Generations!

@@sandudelcea6707 Yeah lol, it's just that Classic Planet Wisp sounds too, I dunno, brutal? But that makes sense since it probably reminds Classic Sonic of Little Planet Bad Future. I like Modern more because it sounds calmer while still being fast-paced.

The the fact they used the Sonic 1 end theme for title theme still confuses me to this day
I thought it was also the Title Screen theme for S1
When I was younger, i legitimately thought that depending on the era the song was from, it wouldn’t be a remix, because I couldn’t tell back them. For example, I thought classic Green Hill, Chemical Plant and Sky Sanctuary were just ripped straight from their respective games, no tuning or remixing done. Same thing for Modern Rooftop Run or even some Dreamcast stages. Of course, now I know I was wrong and think of it as kind of stupid that I couldn’t hear the differences, even when they were so obvious.

Well the classic era for classic sonic all his songs has the original song but with extra stuff over so you can hardly hear the og but the 3ds classic era was more noticeable

The best way to sum up Sonic gen’s OST is that one clip of spongebob where Squidward plays all of the wrong notes on the clarinet and Spongebob plays all of the right notes on a piece of paper

Bit sad there was no Open Your Heart or most ofvthe other boss themes, but excellent video nonetheless.
I used to listen to this soundtrack all the time on Google Play Music back when that was still a thing; especially late in bed. Due to those memories, I have a high bias for the soundtrack of this game; it's one of my all-time favorite game soundtracks.
Can't wait to play my 2nd fav sonic game on the switch!

Sonic Generations is a rare event of Sonic Team not messing up in any category.
This game is probably the closest to perfection you can get from a Sonic game.
The story:
THAT INTRO AND ITS MUSIC GIVES ME CHILLS EVERY TIME OMG.
This game is literally just the best sonic remixes ever, with city escape, crisis city, and seaside hill being incredible level remixes. But I still think the best themes are the boss remixes. LIKE METAL SONIC, SHADOW, DEATH EGG ROBOT, EGG DRAGOON, AND BIG ARMS GO SO HARD

I find it funny the super sonic theme is a remix from sonic 4 episode 1 title them when the other super sonic themes werw available but yeah sonic generations hits hard with remixes
They had to include Sonic 4 somehow, and the reviews would go up in flames if it was a Zone
I just realized that for the classic era, the modern songs are mostly better. And then in the Dreamcast and mod gen era, the classic songs are mostly better.

Yes, but it was originally from the Sega Saturn version of Sonic 3D Blast. The song is “You’re My Hero,” I believe.
