Strike Unit Rei is defenitely one of the coolest looking ubers, and it makes me pretty happy that she isn't a bad uber cause she's currently on my most wanted uber wishlists.

Have you ever considered a ranking of all the "standard," trait-specific special abilities (knockback, slow, freeze, dodge, strong against, etc.)? Excluding warp/toxic obviously because no cats have that. Maybe to make it so freeze isn't objectively better than slow and the insane stat modifiers aren't objectively better then their counterparts, how accessible each ability is could be taken into consideration. Target only could be fairly included too, if one were to consider the tradeoff of the unit having absolutely cracked stats to be a part of the ability
Emma has such a cool design and cool idea on paper but i’m still so surprised at how hard ponos dropped the ball on her design. Thought with the Aku fruit being our she’d have a TF that needs it by now but maybe they are saving her for cubes? Hoping her TF and Talents are worth it cuz she shouldn’t be this bad
I REALLY think that hell warden emma is misunderstood af. The reason she has so many knockbacks is to prevent getting annihilated by something with a higher dps and shorter range. Think about hermit cat. Because of her many knockbacks, she would only take one rather than all of his hits, allowing her to last longer. Although she is likely the worst buster unit, i really think that even though she is, she has some redeeming and very valuable qualities.
@@bosssnurp5912 I wouldn’t wait one surge blocker it’s a lot harder to put that into practice since its rng spawning for surge the best I think we get is counter surge(kinda broken but maybe with a 25% decrease in damage) but other than that we have curse
The saddest part about Emma aside from her TF basically fixing nothing is how her big flaws, her low range and high knockbacks, are only flaws because both are present. If she had less knockbacks but kept her range, that would still be tolerable because she's tanking more damage, damage that she's softening occasionally, and still doing her job of nullifying waves. If she had the same number of knockbacks but had like 350 range, her knockbacks would be amazing because she could reposition back into safe spots in response to heavy pushes, allowing her to keep outranging the Wavers. But instead she's got the worst of both worlds.
I have sakura. I also have hayabusa though, and since hes more of an offensive unit i usually pick him instead of sakura, or I'll use them together. I wish ponos made her an offensive unit instead of a crowd controller, but i guess that would make her too OP Edit: fixed typo
Only 3 ways to improve her without changing her completely are An increase in range (ranged waveblockers are rare) 80% or higher weaken uptime Or Strong (double hp) All keep her general flavor and build but just make her good enough to be viable beyond COTC stages that prevent most waveblockers (she tanks an axolotly hit with treasures so there's that) Just removing kb count wouldn't fix her and she would still be only mildly viable. An increase in range makes her more useful as a ranged waveblocker that repositions is very good and any increase in hp on her is busted as when weaken is active, she h as more hp than Hades. Strong of course completely breaks her as she now becomes an insane generalist tank that rivals Hades AND has weaken to make her hp busted beyond belief. There is still hope for our wave buster and Ponos might make her busted simply to sell more cat food as busters usually isn't drawn outside red/air and only if needed.
It may not be worth to roll but I’ll continue to do so if it means having a shot at getting Pai Pai, too many of the stages I am stuck on include reds 🥲
@@road__house Yea, you can get lucky, but the problem with step-up is that it's 2100 cat food for 1 guaranteed uber. You don't really have control over what you get in 14/15 draws, so in general guaranteed uber 11 draws are more worth.
For me beside Emma all exclusive ubers are good and share rank 1 three of them. Rei & Pai Pai are great nuker & fullfill the purpose about what nuker uber should be while Sakura when she have poor crit chance but have many usefull debuff in one single swing. Pai Pai & Sakura also good generalist while Rei is not that good on that but she also workable as generalist on some circumstance. But still for me Rei is the best floating nuker in the game. Is really weird when Xskull even didnt rank her as top 5 good floating uber.
They should go back, And make a new Emma, Change KB count from like 10, To like, 3, And make her DPS twice as good, And Weakness more consistent, Would she even be good with 2x DPS, and 3x Resiliance?
If you're like me who has has Emma but not kotatsu cat, she's not completely useless. Given that many wave enemies are single target and have short range, it's possible to keep her protected and protecting with proper meatshields, and she saved my butt with my first Berserkory. Still desperately needs a true form though, and without it is like the Monster Girls of the busters. Weak and forgotten.

I got lucky and got Pai Pai as one of my first Ubers, never even realized how good they were till I started destroying red stages. Pai Pai is a absolute must if you see the busters event pop up
When I was doing crazed fish, the only critter I bring down was the buster Uber of the metal busters but she never critted that was OK since I destroyed the base because sniper cat knocked back the super metal hippo behind the base, so I was able to destroy it
Wish we got relic or aku busters or maybe even a traitless buster due to lack of treasures against them Edit:and due to the common theme on busters that they are women and somehow appropriate their theme for their target we might have a shaman for relics and a maid of some sorts for akus (i dunno about traitless tho, maybe a "normal" schoolgirl?)

Then think of the same thing with red enemies and Pai-Pai. You immediately think of cappy and prof .A and now we got red nrg. The units feel very similar however their counters are different leading to Pai-Pai feeling more necessary to bring into a stage with the cancer red enemies then to bring R.E.I into a stage with floating enemies.

Yeah Sakura's generalist use should push her up higher because of her talents making her an anti-wave and anti-surge uber, along with the general HP and attack boost.
I have both Pai Pai and the tiger claw but I mostly use tiger claw because I feel he is easier to control, should I be using Pai Pai over the tiger claw.
I have none of these gals and I don't seem to be missing out on much with the exception of the top 2. Kinda dumb making something specifically for anti-wave that cannot deal with wave enemies and is outclassed by an easy to find super rare...

Imo step up is worth it, depending on the event. I did a step up and got Cat Base Jr, Metal Cat and Kai. I don't remember what event it was though lol

Sakura also has a combo with Waitress/Soba for Def up S, so it's a great synergy for anti-metal

Her damage isn't horrible, investing a few levels in her damage up talent already makes her dps pretty average

I have both Pai Pai and the tiger claw but I mostly use tiger claw because I feel he is easier to control, should I be using Pai Pai over the tiger claw.
