taking you guys with me as i get adjusted my first few days in thailand! it still feels surreal that i'm here & i am so excited to be bringing you guys with me in this next chapter. started my journey in bangkok for a few days, where i did lots of shopping, visited buddhist temples, & spend a lot of time making myself laugh in my hotel room as i pack for my next trip.

Glad to know there are other ppl that pack up and move/travel without worrying about being alone or the opinions of others. I’m from the US, but have now lived in both Spain and London. People are always like “how do you travel and live abroad with no friends or family???” My response is always “I love my own company and I know myself deeply, so no matter where I am in the world, I’m always at home with myself.” You can always make more friends in other countries. Just take the trip! To travel is to expand your horizon and perspective of life. 10/10 recommend!

Love what you said about going with the flow this is also what I love about solo travel honestly 💖when I go anywhere alone I just have a rough idea of things I can do, yet I am truly easy and go with what my heart tells me. I always have too much fun & really end up where I am meant to be... traveling like this can be so medicinal 🌿
Love that you left America for Thailand. Did the same in 2016 when I was burnt out from my 9-5 and it was kind of a shock for me going alone for the first time but so rewarding

You should visit next door in Cambodia. It’s currently a hot spot for expat living due to the cost of living and growing economy. It’s also the perfect place if you want that “spiritual” vibe compared to more fast pace lifestyle like Thailand or Singapore!

love seeing you out here living your dream sis. I spent most of covid "stuck" in Thailand after selling all my stuff and landing a week before the borders closed, it was wild but a dream come true. Watching this video took me right back. I went to all the places you did. I highly highly recommend Koh Tao. It has the most beautiful underwater experiences, a small diverse island with lots of good food young and beautiful people. great for solo travelers. You have to snorkel if you go. you can get there from Koh samui on a boat! looking forward to seeing all your adventures! Ive been to 17 countries and Thailand is definitely one of my absolute favorites!! Also get a thai massage! its life changing!
also yes girl! learn some thai! my first month I didn't know a thing then met a family that owned a cafe. I went every morning, made a purchase and my friend omi gave me 30 min lessons. It completely changed my experience, opened up so many doors. Sawadee ka, (people loved just hearing us say hi and thank you!) but by the end i could count, order my food, ask for directions etc in thai!

Bangkok is soo beautiful!! Thailand in general was a great choice sis! I would recommend visiting Phuket and Phi Phi island cause they are so heavenly :D!
