Aaliyah!... Led zeppelin is the greatest band to walk this earth.. It makes me very happy your music knowledge is expanding so vastly... Take care pretty girl!
Ok, so I'm a huge Zeppelin fan from the beginning. BUT...there is a band currently performing who challenge them for the "greatest band ever to walk the earth" title. A 5 piece Japanese all girl rock band. Yes....really. They are Band Maid. Check out Domination, Real Existence, Moratorium...all live and prepare to be be astounded. They have so many more great songs. I will single out "Puzzle" There are two versions. The full on arena rocker, make your ears bleed version and the tear your heart out acoustic performance. Same song but so different. As a 70 year old Englishman I am so happy that you are discovering the music that I grew up with. It's pretty good, right? Keep going on this journey and I wish you all the best with your own singing career.
OK, now you're just wandering through my misspent teenage years... Mind-altered performances of our music staples just seemed like extended and expanded and improved riffs of some of our favorite day-to-day listening experiences - nothing dramatically removed from everyday consumption. Or something like that. Again with the really nice reaction, Please continue! rl 🤘👹🤘
And I don't know if it was the bassist / keyboardist, John Paul Jones, who designed the ascending chromatic rhythmic riff in this song, but whoever did it is also a genius. No better expression of yearning for something higher than Kashmir, and it is the endlessly repeating A minor chromatic ascent that does it. I remember hearing this for the first time on Christmas morning on my brand new copy of the Physical Graffitti album. Absolutely blown away -- but my solidly earth-bound parents ... not so much.
Aaliyah you have a very beautiful voice ! about led Zeppelin , from the very first seconds you can understand that you are listening to a DIFFERENT kind of music - LATER - only LATER - you will discover that you never get tired of listening to this piece of music - their genre of music is NOT rock music , their genre of music is MAGIC
My favorite group from my youth and their legendary song Stairway to Heaven. Of course, this one(Kashmir) is also near the top. Robert Plant and Jimmy Paige are legends. Thanks Aaliah, and I think you too could become legendary soon. Thank you again and take care.
Good to see you have found Led Zeppelin. They were the IT band of the late 60s and 70s. Their drummer, John Bonham passed in 1980 and the band was no more. Consider by most, the top rock band in history and were and remain my fav of all time. Recommend Stairway to Heaven a true icon of rock music. Also, When the Levee Breaks, I'm Gonna Leave You, In My Time of Dying...well, really anything they have ever done. Too many to list. Great reaction. Hugs. Mark
Hi Aaliyah! I remember hearing this song a lot on the radio as a youngster, and it always caught my ear. As I've grown older, my appreciation for Led Zeppelin and Robert Plant's musicianship has only grown. Great reaction! You might also enjoy their performance of Since I've Been Loving You from Madison Square Garden, New York, in 1973. Here's a link: ruclips.net/video/4gT63xovuWE/видео.html
💗💗💗I watched quite a few reactionsby you so far, but never saw you jamming out to some music as much as you did here. that was really uplifting! As a Zep Head for decades I can clearly see why - they are just great, but it's still very satisfying to witness how you, with your tender age and background in classical music / opera dig their music, makes me feel happy to see we early and longtime Zeppelin listeners are not crazy like our parents said we were... at least mine didn't really get it... Cheers from Bavaria, more Zep is always welcome here!
One of the greatest road traveling songs imo. I and my friends had these songs on repeat during our party years here in the south driving from one state to the other to our concerts of choice. Zepplin is considered one of if not the greatest rock act in history. So much talent in one band. I sense the Rock/ metal T-shirts to start making appearances in your vids. Lol. Thanks dear!
I love how Led Zeppelin has such range, and amazing songs with perfect production on their albums, but sound different but just as great live. Their live performances have more ad-libbing and spontaneity but always flow back to the rhythm seamlessly. They were the perfect storm of 4 super talented musicians coming together to do what they did. Any of their performances from 1973 Madison Square Garden are worth checking out
@chrishoffman2489 Kudos on a great description of LZ, "the perfect storm". They meshed so well and we’re very tuned in to each other. The arrangements of their songs were always set up to play off of each other rather than being 4 musicians playing their individual parts with each other. I think that’s why they could be so spontaneous and, if one didn’t know better, the ad-libs didn’t sound like ad-libs. Just one of countless things that made Led Zeppelin the GOAT.
So happy you are discovering the music of my youth. As a pre-teen and teenager I was heavily influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Moody Blues and many others. I was a rock/blues musician before I started my classical journey. After 6 years of university music studies my orchestral career took over. I now have 40+ years of professional playing orchestral, broadway and experimental music but I never forgot my rock roots. I also delved into world music and new age. Sorry that was a long intro. You mentioned about their stage presence and if you look at the musicians that have that, from any genre, what they have in common is they are genuinely themselves on stage. I would suggest watching Nightwish, a symphonic metal band, with their singer Floor Jansen. She epitomizes how to become the words she is singing. (After I wrote this I took a look at your video reactions and saw you had already done that. My apologies. 😊😊) Just be yourself and deliver your music as you feel it. We study technique for years to be able to sing or play freely, if that makes sense. Whether it be opera or rock just remember, you are telling a story! I wish you the best in your career.
Another awesome song, album and greatest of bands. You are in for the ride of your life if you take a deep dive on arguably the greatest Rock Band of all time (in the conversation for sure). They have many great, epic songs, some of which set standards for hard rock that for many, have never been equaled. My suggestion, as others will too, is if you really want to experience Led Zeppelin, the best way by far is start with their amazing debut album and start reacting to them in order, you have 9 total discs to go through but the experience will be exhilarating as you see how their music started at such a high standard and they proved on their first 2 albums that they were in the lead for what rock would be like in the70s. They evolved over time to try new types of songs that sometime defy description, you just need to listen and we'll see the wonder in your eyes and the smile on your lovely face as you listen to some of the best music ever. Start with Good Times, Bad Times like we did when it first came on the radio. What a rush that was, had to hear the rest of the album ASAP. Good Luck and Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
The greatest band playing one of their greatest songs. They are so skilled and so tight in performing this (and everything else). So glad to se that you liked it. /Ulf
I first saw Led Zeppelin at the Rose Palace in Pasadena, California in 1969, and a couple of more times at Arizona State University during the early 1970s. Incredible band. I suggest that you listen to "Babe, I'm Going to Leave You."
In the studio version, orchestron was used to emulate strings, but here John Paul plays Yamaha GX1 synth, which was also utilized by Keith Emerson(most notably on ELP's version of "Fanfare for the common man") and Benny Andersson on ABBA's last two albums.
Good to see the younger generation enjoying this awesome music so much. This song is about 50 years old and with people like you, it will last another 50+ years. Long live rock!
Aaliyah, I love your reactions. They are so pure and genuine. Everything from Nightwish to Diana Ankudinova to Led Zeppelin. And I love your voice. You have a beautiful voice. I wish you the best success in your career.❤
I can tell those drums where really popping in your headphones ! LOL Led Lep has a song called "Stairway to Heaven" that is always fun to try and interpret the meaning of the song. Does it explain the meaning of life? Maybe! LOL Reacting to a lyric video of the song would be fun Idea. Best wishes and Keep going!
Great that you reacted to Kashmir! Two other iconic songs that you must react to, are Whole lotta love and Stairway to heaven. Please do the studio version of those first. Live is great, but the studio versions are masterpieces!
One of the best bands ever and like you said the individual talents are through the roof. As you can probably tell I'm taking a dive in your channel and you're doing a terrific job!🙌
This version of this song makes me weep - Bonzo, their drummer, was incredible. Sadly, he passed away a bit over 13 months later. There will never be another one of him. Their chemistry and musicianship was off the charts. Robert Plant, the singer, used his voice like an additional instrument. I'm so glad that you noticed Robert's vocal range. The keyboardist was not only playing keyboards, but he a full octave of bass pedals under his keyboard and was pumping out droning sustained bass notes throughout the entire song. Great reaction - love it and I'm newly subscribed. Look for another comment of mine for another suggested live video from these guys -- to review. ❤
This is the best version of the live version of Since I've Been Loving You by Led Zeppelin from late July of 1973 at Madison Square Garden. This version has Robert Plant, their singer, chatting backstage with the group's personal manager, Peter Grant. They're chatting about someone being let into the stadium, passed security - LOL, to sell pirated posters and t-shirts. Robert describes how incredible music can hit people - right before the song starts. This is the original version of the song, which was released in Oct 1976 (although it was recorded live in July of 1973 - it took them a few years to finally release the concert). The other remixed versions of this song are not as good, as some of Jimmy's great guitar playing and some of Robert's high moments of great singing Robert's fantastic singing moments are not present - in other versions of this song. Btw, me and my dad love opera and classical music -- you singing is amazing ! 👏 Again, this is the best version of this song to react to. 😀🙌 You'll get way more out of this than other versions. PS: I also edit Led Zeppelin's wiki pages, am a Led Zeppelin historian and play seven instruments proficiently 😀
Oh thanks super much again for all of your sharing. Oh so happy that you and dad also love opera and classic music😍😍😍thanks for your kind appreciation💕💕💕
@AaliyahCapili You're very welcome indeed. Without laying it on too heavily here - your voice is immaculate and silken ! Simply beautiful and powerful ✨️
Great to see you trying LZ Aaliyah! Next time try something from the early 70's when Plant's voice was younger and stronger. "When The Levee Breaks" is great! Would you also consider reacting to "White Queen" by Queen live from the Odeon Hammersmith, 1975 sometime? And a live version of "Dog and Butterfly" by Heart? Anyways, whatever you do, you can count on me to be enjoying the ride! Cheers from Canada!!
Led Zep has dozens of extraordinary songs, unique and varied. You might try listening in album format, these songs were like individual chapters in a book designed to be heard together.
It would be awesome to see you present a follow up to this same song with the more recent, post-zep version with the remaining members and the drummer's son belting it out once again in all of its splendid glory! It is as good and so much better, even! Thanks for this reaction!
The greatest rock band ever! Ever member a top notch musician. Really really hope you react to Since I’ve Been Loving You. The band is young & hungry wanting to show off their skills while still servicing the song.
Yes, from the Song Remains the Same concert movie, that is the best live video of that song both for the epic version of the song and a well shot video, wow!
The Celebration Day Kashmir performances is live perfection. Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd...the Pulse live performance is unrivaled. Also check out Queensryche's live Tokyo performance of Take Hold of the Flame.
Love your reaction, real art transcends time , I love that you can recognize this masterpiece when it’s not your genre and it’s older than you are , very impressive ❤I will subscribe now ! Must watch your musical journey ❤
Aaliyah, Led Zep has a treasure trove of rock/blues music. Some other great tracks to look in to include "Over the hills and far away", "Black dog", "When the levee breaks", and of course their most well known track - "Stairway to Heaven". The four were amazing musicians who oozed pure talent.
I remember my older sister buying Led Zeppelin IV in the fall of 1971 and dropping the needle on side 1 for the first time. I was a little kid and the sounds coming from the stereo terrified me and thrilled me in equal measure.
Thanks to places like RUclips, many people are exposed to many different types of music. So, it's great, Miss Capili, that you're opening your mind & ears to new things. On this one, you picked a brilliant song from the greatest rock band (IMHO). Good intro. into Zep. Your analysis is thoughtful and insightful. Thank you.
the best band in the world at the time - innovative, experimental, ground breaking. The best guitarist in the worl, the best vocalist in the worl, the best drummer in the world and them, add in JPJ as the greatest bassist, keyboardist at the time = Led Zepplin
what an amazing reaction! the fact that you’re reacting to led zep tells me your quest for music is vast. not limited to what is just being played now. So, if you wake up with the new sunrise and all your dreams are still as new. And happiness is what you need so bad, girl, the answer lies with you.
If you love incredible vocals, You will love Zora. She does incredible things with her voice Vary unique. Her band is Blackbriar My soul demise Or arms of the Ocean Zora is magical
Was hoping you would react to the Kashmir - Live - Celebration Day from 2007. All surviving members are near 60 yrs then, and the drummer is the son of deceased drummer; John Bonham. At their age then, they showed they still got it.
LZ is a rabbit hole you really ought to do down. Also possibly the best guitarist in rock...and it is really nice to see you have an appreciation for other kinds of music. It's like my old friend the ballerina who used to love to go out and have a few drinks and go crazy on the dance floor to hard rock. You need to listen to The Warning, a trio of sisters from Monterey, Mexico who do power rock. They are so cool!!!! The rhythm shifts you are mentioning are a hallmark of progressive rock...
Your disclaimer at the beginning tells me a lot about YOU! Open minded and smart. Plus you sing well. As does Robert Plant!!! Plus Plant is rockin his usual great hair!! Mr. Jimmy Page has been in the music industry since the 1950's. He often de-tuned his guitar. And used several new innovations in his playing.. Yes more than likely as long as your grandparents have been around... I have seen Plant is concert as a solo artist. I never got to see Zeppelin, damn it!! But we have these videos thank goodness!!!!!! I think you were smiling for the entire video.....!!!!!!! You may be converted from an opera star to a rock and roller!!! AND we will welcome you in to the fold.................. Take care and happy new year!!
now you are on your way to enjoying one of the greatest rock bands in history...I agree that you should next comment on "Since I've Been Loving You" live from MSG in 1973...the Kashmir show was from 1979...in 1973, Zep was at the absolute height of their "Power"...you will clearly notice the difference in age...the lead guitarist, Jimmy Page, is absolutely incredible...the other live performance you must watch is "Stairway to Heaven" from the same live performance (Festival Seating days) in 1973...enjoy and thanks for doing this for us old heads!
do yourself a favor and check out any of the songs from the 73 MSG show..."The Ocean", "Black Dog"; "The Rain Song"; "The Song Remains the Same"; and if you really want to see Jimmy Page shred, check out "In My Time of Dying" from the 1975 Earls Court show...Plant is incredible during that performance as well...THANKS....how do you become a patron? remember, i'm old...@@AaliyahCapili
Page has said that this is his favorite composition. It is not even in my top ten LZ tracks but what do I know. Explore to your heart's content. The musical world is your oyster.

I love your reaction to the very first chord. You look like " Wow! This is going to be great!".
Thank you so much!!
Again, this is the best version of this song to react to.

I was at that gig! They were stunning
Thanks for sharing
His attscks are so on point perfect
🥰
Yay, one of my favorite reactors on my favorite Zeppelin song
Oh thank you very much😍
Got to check out them doing "Since I Been Loving You" also "The Rain Song" Live at MSG Awesome performance!!
Thanks for all the recommendations
There are rock singers. There are rock performers. There are rock legends. Then there are ROCK GODS!!! Led Zeppelin was beyond the beyond.
😍😍😍
You can learn a lot about singing from Robert.
He is a Master for sure.
🥰🥰🥰
Awe such a nice reaction. Amazing job 👍
🥰
Loved your reaction. Awesome to see young people loving Led Zeppelin ❤
Thanks so much Miss Kathie, they are amazing 😍
best band ever lady
🥰
Great to see you trying LZ Aaliyah! Next time try something from the early 70's when Plant's voice was younger and stronger. "When The Levee Breaks" is great! Would you also consider reacting to "White Queen" by Queen live from the Odeon Hammersmith, 1975 sometime? And a live version of "Dog and Butterfly" by Heart? Anyways, whatever you do, you can count on me to be enjoying the ride! Cheers from Canada!!
Thanks so much 🥰
Led Zep has dozens of extraordinary songs, unique and varied. You might try listening in album format, these songs were like individual chapters in a book designed to be heard together.
Thanks for sharing
It would be awesome to see you present a follow up to this same song with the more recent, post-zep version with the remaining members and the drummer's son belting it out once again in all of its splendid glory! It is as good and so much better, even! Thanks for this reaction!
🥰
The greatest rock band ever! Ever member a top notch musician. Really really hope you react to Since I’ve Been Loving You. The band is young & hungry wanting to show off their skills while still servicing the song.
Yes, from the Song Remains the Same concert movie, that is the best live video of that song both for the epic version of the song and a well shot video, wow!
🌺
The Celebration Day Kashmir performances is live perfection. Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd...the Pulse live performance is unrivaled. Also check out Queensryche's live Tokyo performance of Take Hold of the Flame.
Thanks for sharing💕
I'm glad you like it!
Personally, this "outro" blows my mind. Minor, major, Phrygian scale. Masterpiece!
😍
An excellent reaction. Well done!
Thank you very very much Mr. Andy
Love your reaction, real art transcends time , I love that you can recognize this masterpiece when it’s not your genre and it’s older than you are , very impressive ❤I will subscribe now ! Must watch your musical journey ❤
Oh super thanks for your support🥰
Aaliyah, Led Zep has a treasure trove of rock/blues music. Some other great tracks to look in to include "Over the hills and far away", "Black dog", "When the levee breaks", and of course their most well known track - "Stairway to Heaven". The four were amazing musicians who oozed pure talent.
Thanks Mr. Paul for sharing
Kudos. to you! , educating yourself on other genres ! You will go far .
Thanks so much Mr. Dave
If I picked a character on stage mine would be JIMMY PAGE
🥰
I remember my older sister buying Led Zeppelin IV in the fall of 1971 and dropping the needle on side 1 for the first time. I was a little kid and the sounds coming from the stereo terrified me and thrilled me in equal measure.
🥰
Robert Plant said he considered, Kashmir, their Masterpiece ❤
Many thanks for sharing
Another really good song to react to is "in the evening " by them, same concert
Thanks for sharing
This is a group you should definitely check out. They have so many awesome songs. May I suggest
" You Shook Me " and "Rock and Roll" for starters.
Thanks for your recommendations Mr. Jim
Oh Aaliyah, if this is the first time hearing Led, there is so much more out there. The 60's 70's were the era of music
Thanks for sharing
So glad I found your RUclips site! I loved your insight on this music and Robert's talent. So happy to subscribe!!!!
Thanks so much Mr. Howard, much appreciated😍
Love you're reaction so detailed..
Thanks so much Mr. Joe
Thank you.
Thanks so much Mr. Paul🌺
Definitely do the live since I've been Loving you suggested below. It is amazing.
Thanks so much too
the best band in the world at the time - innovative, experimental, ground breaking. The best guitarist in the worl, the best vocalist in the worl, the best drummer in the world and them, add in JPJ as the greatest bassist, keyboardist at the time = Led Zepplin
Thanks for sharing Mr. Jim
what an amazing reaction!
the fact that you’re reacting to led zep tells me your quest for music is vast. not limited to what is just being played now.
So, if you wake up with the new sunrise and all your dreams are still as new. And happiness is what you need so bad, girl, the answer lies with you.
Oh thank you very very much💕
If you love incredible vocals, You will love Zora.
She does incredible things with her voice
Vary unique.
Her band is Blackbriar
My soul demise
Or arms of the Ocean
Zora is magical
Thanks so much for sharing
Was hoping you would react to the Kashmir - Live - Celebration Day from 2007. All surviving members are near 60 yrs then, and the drummer is the son of deceased drummer; John Bonham. At their age then, they showed they still got it.
Thanks for sharing this, i will check it out too
really fun reaction!
Thanks Mr. Richard
*Can't go wrong with Led Zepplin.....btw, look so pretty in pink*
Thanks so much😍
@@AaliyahCapili 🥰
LZ is a rabbit hole you really ought to do down. Also possibly the best guitarist in rock...and it is really nice to see you have an appreciation for other kinds of music. It's like my old friend the ballerina who used to love to go out and have a few drinks and go crazy on the dance floor to hard rock. You need to listen to The Warning, a trio of sisters from Monterey, Mexico who do power rock. They are so cool!!!! The rhythm shifts you are mentioning are a hallmark of progressive rock...
Thanks for sharing
A great song. My favorite when released on Physical Graffiti, for a few years, but then another album came out and I had a new favorite.
🥰
Oh thanks so much for your kind words and appreciation. Take care too and hope you had a Happy New Year
Ciao Aaliyah! Adoro i tuoi video. Sei meravigliosa, davvero splendida! 🤗💞
Thank you very very much Mr. Stefano😍
now you are on your way to enjoying one of the greatest rock bands in history...I agree that you should next comment on "Since I've Been Loving You" live from MSG in 1973...the Kashmir show was from 1979...in 1973, Zep was at the absolute height of their "Power"...you will clearly notice the difference in age...the lead guitarist, Jimmy Page, is absolutely incredible...the other live performance you must watch is "Stairway to Heaven" from the same live performance (Festival Seating days) in 1973...enjoy and thanks for doing this for us old heads!
Thanks for sharing all of these Mr. Richard💕
do yourself a favor and check out any of the songs from the 73 MSG show..."The Ocean", "Black Dog"; "The Rain Song"; "The Song Remains the Same"; and if you really want to see Jimmy Page shred, check out "In My Time of Dying" from the 1975 Earls Court show...Plant is incredible during that performance as well...THANKS....how do you become a patron? remember, i'm old...@@AaliyahCapili
Led Zeppelin can change your life.
😍
Nice reaction!
You have a beautiful voice!
Thanks so much🥰
The best is live at Madison square garden 1973 There’s a movie called The Song remains the same it’s about that concert it’s awesome and historical
Thanks for the recommendation
Page has said that this is his favorite composition. It is not even in my top ten LZ tracks but what do I know. Explore to your heart's content. The musical world is your oyster.
🥰
Welcome to the GOAT! rock band.
🥰
