Seeing them fumble at literally almost always the final hurdle just hurts my heart as a fan, but moreover when I think of the fact that the players themselves who worked hard to get there and just not get it everytime. Keria's line was understandable when you think of their path to this Worlds. After watching the Finals teaser before the games itself. That damn line from Faker "The fourth trophy is for my teammates". I just couldn't hold back the tears anymore after that. Even on their winning moment, it felt so surreal, that while the players themselves didn't cry, but I could feel the relief that they finally achieved it. 4:18 this line hurt me when the caster said "Damn old legends and old legacies, goodbye Faker, goodbye T1, hello Damwon and Showmaker". The wounds inflicted to T1 and Faker gets painful each time they loses, but since "Legends Never Die", Faker's legacy continued and came back stronger than ever and proceeded to claim his 4th trophy. Come to think of it the song Legends Never Die is synonymous to Faker's legacy, The SKT dynasty and Faker seemed to be gone after their painful defeat against SSG, each year the wound and doubts to Faker becomes much bigger and painful but he still continued playing through it all. Plus these lines in the song "The scars collected all of their lives, When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts, And avenge defeat" is very aligned with T1's past worlds runs, they suffered devastating back to back worlds defeat but they avenged it at 2023, especially Faker himself avenged T1 against the one who ended the dynasty Ruler. Legends truly never dies, maybe that's why Faker is called "The Unkillable Demon King".
Faker is Unkillable Demon King because as any good villain in any good story, he loses, stumbles and gets set back. But as any fantastic villain he is always there, always a threat, never an afterthought. He may have been defeated, but never killed. After 10 years, still on top of the world.
