I have not been a fan of the Guass Pistol. I've found it to be very buggy as a VATS weapons. Does +50% VATS Hit Chance help with that? Let's find out.

With robots, you wanna aim for the combat inhibitor.
With Sentry Bots, shoot the Fusion Core. And with turrets, shoot the barrel.
Level 615... You'd think someone would know... :P

Good timing, I’m currently leveling an energy pistol build. I just wish Bethesda would move the pistol perk cards to perception 😩
You can do a Perception, Agility, Luck VATS build with Tank Killer, Concentrated Fire, Glow Sight and Grenadier under Perception as well as Expert, Master and regular Gunslinger with Gun Fu and Adrenaline on Agility. I’d recommend starched Genes, Better Criticals, Critical Savvy, Four Lead Clover and Grim Reaper’s Sprint in Luck.
Yep. There are simply too many good QoL and damage perks in Agility.
Non-Heavy ballistic weapons perks should ALL be in perception, in my opinion, with maybe a couple of very specific exceptions. If you're going to design a game that dissuades you from using multiple weapons classes at a time, it's maddening that pistols are in agility (with loads of other good perks) while rifles are in perception, where there's not much else.
I still struggle to use this gun. Every so often I'll take these out for a few days and end up putting them back away. They're so tedious to use, despite the good damage, and like you said the bugs (quirks?) seem to always show up at the worst times. Strangely though the Gauss rifle is one of my top 3 favorite weapons in the game. I can't explain it.
Why would a weapon you literally cannot use be your favorite? Main a cremator or something useful.
@@nikolaineverdie7135 Gauss rifles are great guns. You might want to look up some help with your build if you're struggling, there are lots of guides out there, including right here on RUclips. Lucky you!

I don't think its as bad as it used to be. I pair it with the CIrcuit Breaker for when I get discovered and for a bit of crowd control. The Science perks boost both nicely.
Rifleman? I aint using this weapon if i have to sacrifice perk card slots to get my Perception up, like selecting Rifleman -_- and Party Boy w/ Herbivore Mutation. This weapon misses way too much with the little Perception i have. Great video as always! Thumbs up!
No, it’s not Rifleman, it’s Gunslinger, the only perk card I’d recommend on Perception would be Tank Killer which helps you ignore armor.
@@floydtaylor43 he's trying to boost his Perception so he doesnt miss, technically every Perception perk card helps this weapon not miss, the irony of choosing Rifleman is what i was mentioning.

For me that even use full helth built its kinda good two shot gauss , gauss that have the most perkcard that can use with is pistol and rifle
This is actually a fun gun to run around with esp an instigating. I'll use it sometimes if I wanna farm ammo. I like to use the gauss shotgun sometimes
Threw this thing back on after yesterdays patch and it has been nerfed into the ground sadly.
I thought this new update we have just had was supposed to fix the server issue still having with this it's just disconnected me what going on with it can some tell me
