@ghostmarine216 - To get repeat you have to first manually choose the abilities you want to use, and afterwards scroll down to the ability option and press Right on your D-pad or Left analog stick to select repeat, the game is able to memorise the latest abilities you manually chose for all 6 roles, so its a very useful feature.
Unfortunatelly it seems they making FF games "easier" for newcomers and more action oriented games. I do like the ff7 remake gameplay but it is really far from the stragetic approach the ffXIII have
Basically, when you use 1 Full ATB bar, let it fill up to max and use another Full ATB, switching paradigms will net you a FREE full bar, instead of waiting to max it again. For speedruns you must take advantage of it, and once you get it down you'll find yourself using it all the time when you play the game. In this case, he uses Cerberus x2 so he can keep an all out offense while switching between them for extra speed. /shrug late reply
I love that you used a move I never used while playing. And I Plat this game twice before :) I was pretty quick too with Long Guis. But your creative approach is awesome!
YOU'RE AN AMAZING PERSON. I haven't been able to defeat a long gui.Still haven't sense i've been spending my time on Skyrim and Lightning returns.But this makes it easier to defeat when i get back to 13.
@Jonny123898 It's hard to explain. Say you have two Cerberus Paradigms and attack. As soon as your last attack hits, switch to your other Cerberus Paradigm. That way, your ATB gauge will be full so you can do another attack without having to wait for your ATB gauge to charge.
@moua64 He does it to reset his action bar. It's almost essential when fighting high level enemies. It's amazing you pulled it off with Snow as Medic. He really sucks at it, lol

Use 5 @ the start of battle to deflect damage from Ultima first. Switch to 2 immediately to heal ur team and go to 1 w/o hesitation. After characters have all buffs, switch to 3 to debuff the legs following up with 4 to use Fang's Highwind to bring the Long Gui. Use 2 & 5 to defend against Ultima and the Long Gui's stomp attack. Use 3 & 4 to bring stagge
@Malacite Fang is a beast! Btw, attack does more damage than ruin, not good against legs but but when staggered and downed attack is much better! My regular damage vs Adamantoise with fang is about 245k per hit!
Why lead with Lightning? You can 1-shot the legs with Highwind once they are staggered as Fang. Furthermore, you used Enfrost when they are weak to Fire. Still, nice job.
Ruin does not do more damage, because it depends on how much magic or strength a character has, he equipped all magistrate's marks on everyone, so his magic stat is much higher, therefore they automatically cast (which is needed if you're going for a speed run, since ruin is much faster than attack)
VapourXY i know its an outdated comment but i just want you to know in XIII there is an atb refresh trick, if you change paradigm at some right moment the atb will be full again, thats why he is using 2 commandos
I defeated the Long Gui using Lightning, Fang, & Hope with mid-level tier 3 weapons, Omega Weapon & Kain's Lance, and a maxxed out Urubutstein. Defeated the beast on my 1st try.
Mark Wise True but i think this stragety is good. If everyone use ruin with enfrost you will kill the Long Gui quick. Attack is just slow. Ruin is speedy.

Awesome version of FF series, square-enix could launch a remaster for PS4 and PS5. Play a lot on my PS3 a long time ago! 🎮👍🏼

Use Highwind (Fang) on the legs when it staggered about 700%. Instant killing.
