- Putting together by far the lightest and most expensive BMX bike I have ever owned!
Firstly we check out my 2 previous bikes including the one I won my first X Games Gold medal on and the one I'm currently riding on tour with Nitro Circus!
Then I go through all the parts that went into this BMX as well as how much it all ended up weighing!
This was a huge investment for me and I hope you all enjoy the video and I'm looking forward to making future videos for you all with this super light BMX!

8.15kg (17lb 15oz) in it's initial build, still yet to put on Ti forks and some other bits. He runs a gyro and rear brakes though.

Should do a competion and weigh them and keep replacing parts when you learn the other bike is lighter.

BK has Titanium forks, as well as cranks. Ryan doesn't have that.
Wow mazing Sir Ryan, I am already old, 51 years of age but I was one of those BMX bikers during the 80s and we ramp, assemble our own bikes, I was in a BMX group called Red Line. The brands popular then were Araya for the wheel rims, Diamond back for the body, Haro for the handle bars. Thanks so much to you and all of the BMX great heroes who kept the BMX spirit going. And of course I am a big fan of yours Sir Ryan. You are my young hero Sir.

I did 16 pound with the eastern grim reaper (steel 4pound frame ) in around of 2009.
With all the lightest part available at this time. Lot of TI parts and TI crank and axle though. Have to say i’m machinist so i have mod some part also haha
@@Cody2nd I wasn't a pro rider. But did park and street abuse for 1 season. My frame had couple of dent but no cracks. At this time i was 165lbs. Nowaday maybe at 200 i agreed i'll snap it of course haha
Sick bike man!!! I think profile has TI crank arms if I’m not mistaken! Prolly even a sprocket as well and a TI spindle!! Then put the plastic bar ends they are the lite guys👍 we went through the weight lyfe at one point also back in my day! Best I got was 23lbs back in 2008.

17.5 lbs. Incredible. I can only imagine what it would feel like riding such a bike.
The old Vectors were around 17lbs. I raced one for a few years in the NBL back in the late 80s.
I want to see a video of you riding both bikes and using some science to measure a bunny hop and compare or like a tailwhip and whip it as fast as you can and compare the clips side by side on where you catch the whip at etc. I think it would be a cool video

I know this bike was before your time however re enforced tubing and thick for the tubes that I think will still hold up in big airs better than most. They are the lightest I have ever seen as well ever. I encourage you to purchase a " *PK Ripper* " frame and fork from back in the day as you would not be disappointed how well these racing bikes were made and I guarantee they are lighter than any modern day bike.
The landing gear! Not even Williams R Willy could break that thing . landing gear , and they were completely rigid and built solid

G'day willy back when I use to rid I only use Hoffman bike! I use to rid the fat cat but then bike were heavy! A under 8kg bike that's unbelievable good luck with it I hope to see some new tricks with it.

Use black/raw components (forks/cranks/stem sprocket) as its marginally lighter than chrome. Cut the fork steerer so you dont need the spacer or extra steel steered tube. 165 length cranks or 170's as theyre lighter than the standard 175. Could even possibly find a 8t ti profile driver (if they even make them) giving you a 28-9 feel with a 25-8 (roughly)
Profile used to make 8 tooth drivers.
Instead get a 7075 heat treated driver made. Lighter cheaper but wears out quick.
Raw every single part and put a super thin layer of paint on so thin it won't chip just scratch.
Lots of other weighs to drop weight.

if you put the tire pump thing on the air valve for your tube and dont lock it in it will release are from the tube so you can fix the tire and then are it up again to fix that tire problem

Dude if you ever see this, ask lux to put out their own custom bikes/parts. Australia needs more parts options that aren't nuked by import taxes/exchange rates/both at once.
All I want is a full chromoly custom with freecoaster, full set of pegs, gyro for the rear and front brakes pre routed through the fork stem. That DOESN'T cost $1200+.

I know you are all about jumps but your bike skills are strong you should try a trials bike
You will test a short cranks like 165mm it’s feel realy good for spining and it’s way more stable bro
