57 minutes and 40 seconds later I am no closer to understanding how the mind of Pavel Datysuk works.

Very few players in history and I would argue none rivaled his offensive play making and his insane defensive skill. Some of his stats aren’t even traceable, him being on the ice and creating opportunities for other team mates. Super talented and I believe the greatest total hockey player ever. No weakness in his game, he handed out some big hits too.

I don’t think people understand how good datsyuk seriously was. He, in terms of overall ability in the O and D zone, could be top 5 all time. Skill wise, I’d say top 3

Timmy Johnson the Undoubtedly best puck handler of all time. Top 3 defensive forward of all time. A force to be reckoned with offensively. He has to be in the top 10 greatest players of all time conversion. I don’t think anyone besides the greatest of the greats (Gretzky, Lemeiux etc.) had as much god given ability as Datsyuk.

There's been a lot of players to come through Detroit that have been a blast to watch play, but none of them for me has made more of an impression than Datsyuk. He was an absolute joy to watch, always making every play he was on the ice for exciting. He left such an unfillable hole when he left the NHL. So much fun to watch!

Just finished watching the whole vid, simply fantastic Awood... Us fans that bleed red, we love your channel. I've watched just about every video you have, some multiple times over. A database of history. There will never be another Pavel Datsyuk, simply one of the best two-way players ever. His defense was exciting to watch let alone offense. Probably the best neutral zone player I have ever seen, and the best at turning defense into offense.
And it was great to see some of the plays that did NOT result in goals. These are the lost shifts where we still see magic, buried beneath the highlights.
    Keep up the awesome work

At 13:08, 13:59, and 36:59, you can tell that there are a large number of Red Wings fans (possibly the majority) at the United Center. That just goes to show that most of today's Blackhawks "fans" are bandwagoners, which is why I have no respect for Chicago and their idiotic fans.
At 14:53, Datsyuk assisted on Yzerman's 692nd and final NHL goal.
We all know about the chemistry Datsyuk had with Zetterberg as the Euro Twins, but highlights from 2008-09 showed the chemistry Datsyuk also had with Hossa, which was definitely just as impressive. Just imagine if Hossa remained in Hockeytown for more than one season. One can wonder.
The best moment of this entire video is definitely at 50:15; the Magic Man shows off his soccer skills.
And thank you so much +awood40 for making these amazing videos, you have no idea how much it means to big Red Wings fans like me and others!
