    Assassins creed lore has a lot of potential to be a blockbuster hit, just don't make it a movie, rather a series. I'm glad Netflix is making one. Add all the first civilization lore and the miles family etc, dive deep into Bayek, Altair, Ezio, Connor etc (each season for each Assasin's story) and viola you got a good series.

      First of all I love the games and hope that they can insert it into another form of media. And secondly, this could literally make or break the legitimacy of video game movies. We had Warcraft. That failed. This is pretty much the industry's last chance.

      Annie G. I know that critical reviews aren't everything, but I think it's neccessary to have an overall success to solidify this genre. This is based on three things: 1.) Critics like it. 2.) Audience likes it. 3.) Makes pretty good money.

      I still can't believe that to this day there hasn't been ONE good video game movie. It's unbelievable. The only major difficulty that video game movies have is translating the game lore into cinema without over complicating the story so non gamers can follow, while also not keeping it too simple so gamers can follow. Therefore, all they should ever be is a rehash of the first game. Doesn't seem too complicated. It's just using source material to make a similar cinematic product. I mean it happens with books, comic books and even real life stories and yet, when it comes to video games, it's always turns out mediocre. I remember a time when people thought comic book movies would never stick, now, I hope it's only a matter of time.

    • @TheDreamManifester
      @TheDreamManifester 8 лет назад +1

      You are correct, mind you however most people don't know about this as it is literally just 4 seconds of footage at the end of that DLC. It's also just visual, and not descriptive of any sort of wording or commentary. It's more or less an Easter egg as to why Napoleon invaded Egypt, seeking this relic that Arno has sent off away from him. The last legitimate and major game that featured the Apple of Eden is AC3. The rest like AC4, Rogue, Unity, and Syndicate have other relics. Unity being the sword.

    What's the point of this?
    When they showed the movie footage at the end, it all looked fake anyways (lots of CG, filters).
    You're going to have to CG the guy into the film anyways. Why take the risk? And the stunt guy even said he felt some whiplash from the 90 foot jump. Does he want to risk permanent paralysis?

    • @EnzoTheBaker
      @EnzoTheBaker 8 лет назад +2

      mwangasama
      If you follow the world of special effects, CG bodies are EVERYWHERE.
      Tony Stark's Iron Man body is all FAKE (CG). Nobody complained that he didn't look right when flying, falling and fighting. Spider-Man and all the Marvel heroes have had their bodies CGed, even Black Widow and Hawkeye.
      The Force Awakens and hundreds of other films have done it too. People just aren't aware a CG body double was used because it was integrated so seamlessly well. Or you could even compromise and do a smaller fall, and blend it with a CG one. The audience doesn't know, and frankly, doesn't care, when story, character and dialogue are more important anyways.
      I personally would not allow a stuntperson to imperil themselves with a record-breaking stunt for a movie. Something smaller in scale and testable is fine. Not worth it when CG can recreate authenticity and do it more safely.
      AC doesn't even look that authentic like TDK anyways, so I don't know where this idea that practical effects must be adhered to at all costs, when they threw that out of the window a long time ago. So much post-processing stuff added to the movie makes it look more like a music video.
