I can't be mad because the show already butchered the source material so badly that it was hard to watch. Hopefully his Superman movies aren't too generic though.

In a perfect world HBO would buy the rights and do another Witcher series with Henry Cavill as protagonist and advisor. But evidence indicate we do not inhabit such world.
He is actually the closest person in real life to Superman.
It's a story about hope (of the fans) and him coming back for us. So humble and so respectful to the fans and to the character.

Tom Welling’s Superman ended after puberty. He basically grew OUT of the role. In a way, he was like the Peter Parker of the Superman universe.
Tyler Hoechlin has done a better job, but he’s still not Cavill.

Honestly, the world needs an inspirational Superman movie. Not catering to one side or the other. Not demonizing any specific group. I hope they use the real world as a reflection and make something different and inspirational that can bring people together

Every character Henry does is done so well that is impossible to imagine anybody else recreating a character that he has done. I will certainly miss him in the Witcher but I am so excited to see him back as Superman and I only wish him the best in his future endeavors.

@@dspoet1 That guy can never pull off the look of Superman at all. The cheap costumes certainly haven’t helped. Cavill looks like he jumped straight out of the comic pages, and he embodies the character’s personality so genuinely and subtly that he really seems like the real-life version of Superman

@@MarioSonicBee Unlike Reeves, who was good in his own way too, Cavill uniquely embodies the character not only through his acting but physically, too. He actually looks exactly like Superman from the comics.

If it is true I am glad to see him again. Listening to interviews with him, he seems to have a handle on the character. His take on Clark is one of the best. I get the need to "Kill "Zod but as we know death is not absolute in movies, especially involving superheroes. Welcome back Henry and hope we get a new Man of Steel soon

growing up in the late 50's - early 60's, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for George Reeves. All the other actors portraying Superman since have turned in excellent performances, but Henry Cavill IS Superman.

You guys really need to watch Black Adam in theaters if you want the future of Superman to be secured. Get it to atleast 500 Million in the Box Office.
That's preposterous tbh. The future of Superman is in the hands of James Gunn starting today and he's not going to give a crap about how Black Adam does in the theater. It's also bad, so people should just watch the ending credits scene online and get excited for a good superman movie for the first time in like 40 years.

Zsav and Dwayne are betting everything on Black Adam's success to ensure a new future for DC movies.
@@NarratorII Dwayne is, in terms of how much control he gets to exert. Zaslav only needs it to break even at the very least. If BA isn't a financial success it just means Zaslav has no incentive to give him another movie. Zaslav's right at the top of the chain.
It is unfortunate and sad that Henry decided to part ways with "The Witcher". The wonderful part about this is Henry is going to become the new "Highlander" -- which I am a big fan of and we will finally get a new Superman movie. So much to look forward to. Man i’m really torn. I’m ecstatic that he’s back as Superman as he’s supposed to. Sp exited for his Superman to thrive. However him leaving Geralt behind is devastating news as a huge fan of the witcher. He was a true fan of the books and games and his portrayal was spot on as Geralt. Wish he could have kept playing both Supes and Geralt of Rivia, which are two vastly different roles.
There really is no reason Season 4 couldn't be delayed to fit around Henrys schedule... I'm sure fans (myself included) rather wait 2 years for Henry, rather than recast with Liam Hemsworth who I think is going to be hysterically bad lol.

@@blamitdsz That's true, but as always I'd rather wait for something great, rather than be rushed something not so good. Which is exactly what season 4 will be imo. Recasting QUICKLY for $$$$$$$ rather work around Henrys schedule, delay, rewrite to his liking if the direction the show went was his reason for leaving... or w.e. Instead they recast INSTANTLY.
Same with games, I rather wait YEARS for my next favorite game so it's done to perfection, rather it be rushed out (GTA 6 for example) unlike the majority who just WANT IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!
As a huge fan of The Witcher you probably noticed how the series was devastated pretty much since the beginning by the showrunners despite Cavill's attempts at course correcting that train wreck of a production.
@@miguerys9503 as with any adaptation I knew there’d be some changes and while yes there were major changes especially in season 2 Henry managed to put in some nuances like the roach death scene that I really appreciated.
