OMG I looooove this song!!!! When I was a child I watched the film sometimes more than 3 times a day!!! I'm German and so I was really interested how this song would be in English - and it's soooo amazing!
Best Disney movie ever made! I really enjoyed introducing a kid I thought was going to be my stepson to it and he loved it. Good kid. Wish I could still be involved in his life.
Great cover, first saw the movie in the mid 80s, watched countless times back then, the songs always stuck with me. Great film, just rewatched today for the first time in god knows how many years. R.I.P. Roger Miller
Yeah i want to play this at work the bosses are making us go in on saturday.. no one wants to work a 6th day. Everytime we get a new general manager or prodution manager, they are like hey we can remove saturdays, but yet here we are. I suppose its not rheir fault machines keep breaking down putting us behind, but man we would all rather be at home with our spouses and kids, not sure the overtime is worth it but inflation has almost made it a necessity anyways.... sigh 😢
Seriously cool. Always thought this song transcended the movie as a song I could stand to listen to all its own cool to hear an extended version by a familiar band. Id freak right out if I heard them pull this out in concert.
It's because musicians of this era have seratonin receptors that have been fucked up beyond belief, and nobody has the patience or fortitude to carve out a truly unique piece of music. There are exceptions, absolutely, in every genre, but those that break the mold are now few and far between. Original ideas are basically shunned in this day and age of "impersonation culture".
That is some A+, number one, fab town, HOT DANG, “wow-what-a-whistle-blowin” whistle. First time hearing this version, great job🙌🏻🙏🏻! Thank you guys for doin this tune!
This song was my favorite in the movie as a kid. Somthing about the chords, the melody and lyrics always made me very emotional. I was actualy going to cover it myself but looks like the boys beat me to it!
This is an absolutely superb cover of the classic song from "Robin Hood". I love the singer's voice - he really makes you believe the song is happening to him. Brilliant, thanks for posting this!
I love this!!!! I am on a bit of a kick this morning to find every song they wrote or sang. I have a road trip in two days and these guys are great traveling music! They are great anyhow! I am so excited that I found them...
Sheriff of Nottingham: "Criminently", Trigger! Point that peashooter the other way. Trigger: Don't you worry none, Sheriff. The safety's on Old Betsy. Sheriff of Nottingham: What in tarnation you tryin' to do, you birdbrain? Trigger: Just doin' my duty, Sheriff. Sheriff of Nottingham: Oh, you and that itchy trigger finger of yours.
When I'm older there are going to be a few things I look back on. One of them is going to be stuck in my room revision (studying) for exams listening to Mumford and sons. The latter just makes everything better.
Favourite Disney song.
Favourite band.
And a song about my hometown.
Life = Made.
In England?
Truth:: Robin Hood is the best Disney movie ever made.
angela mw and zootopia
True, but for Pixar it's Walle
angela mw true, Hercules is pretty great too though.
Born in 81, yup, Disneys Robin Hood is the story I live by...
False. Oliver and Company.

Omg please
I completely agree
Dude you left out Whistle Stop but not sure how you can make that one any better seriously some next level whistling in the original.
good lord. I stumbled upon this by accident, and thank god I did! this is probably the best thing that could've happened to that song.

God this song is a universal commonality for the melancholy of the middle class and below.
After 6 years... well said

Oh my god...the harmony!? I wasn’t expecting that...been singing that harmony all by myself for thirty + years now. Wow.
One of my favourite songs, always hits me right in the feels
One of my favorite Disney songs.
the music in this cartoon is better written and better delivered then half the pop music of today
So true.

*99.99% of pop music today
the soundtrack alone from Robin Hood is well thought out and executed really well. As opposed to so-called "epic" soundtracks of this age...
I mean, it was done by Roger Miller I believe. A country titan in those days.
I really love the whistling, guys. Everything is my heart from my childhood.
ROBIN HOOD... First thing that came to mind. Favorite Disney movie and Mumford & Sons, I'm in heaven!
Best Band Ever :X keep up the outstanding work boys!!!

When you are in isolation because of corona virus, you listen to this :(
True. The robin hood soundtrack is my stay at home album.
Just change the word "down" to "lockdown"
Aye, I am and almost crying...
Exactly.
For real, every day I feel like I'm in the Nottingham jail 😂

The fact that my favorite band did a cover from one of my favorite childhood movies makes it that more sweet
The fact that they covered this song officially makes me love this band so god blessed much I could cry.
robin hood is my favourite disney movie! I used to watch it everyday when I was a kid
This song was my favorite in the movie as a kid. Somthing about the chords, the melody and lyrics always made me very emotional. I was actualy going to cover it myself but looks like the boys beat me to it!
I wasn’t ready for the quality of the whistle solo
Suddenly so much more in love with this band--my favorite childhood movie and my favorite band...what more could I ask for?!
That movie really had some of the most beautiful music
Very pleasant surprise, fantastic cover!
I love Mumford & Sons but this just threw them over for a whole new round of respect from me. It is a fantastic cover.
Why have I not discovered this beauty of a cover sooner? I am in heaven
One of my favorite childhood memories+ the best band of the present....I think I'm gonna explode from sheer happiness:)
I never knew this existed it's 2022 and I just found it out this was my favorite movie when I was a kid Robin Hood

This the song of my childhood, and now my favourite band of all time are singing it. Good times
Definitely my favorite Disney song of all time and my favorite band. Too good
This is an absolutely superb cover of the classic song from "Robin Hood". I love the singer's voice - he really makes you believe the song is happening to him. Brilliant, thanks for posting this!
Definitely brought tears to my eyes!!
When I was a little girl, I recorded this song on a tape from the video and I would listen to it over and over. Not sure why, but I this made me cry
No one better to cover this song than Mumford and Sons..
this song touches me in my soul.
My favorite Disney movie, my favorite song from the Disney movie, and now my new favorite band.... life is good =D
WOW...This always made me sad, every time I ever watched Robin Hood but this is just completly amazing. Beautiful
Wow...wow. Abrupt time travel there. This is excellent.
Fantastical. Whimsical. Incredibly bodacious. M&S strikes again. Lifting me up on those days I'm down. Reminding me my heart still beats.
I love this!!!! I am on a bit of a kick this morning to find every song they wrote or sang. I have a road trip in two days and these guys are great traveling music!
They are great anyhow! I am so excited that I found them...
Loved it. Really feel good song mumford rocks and love the whistleing
Beautiful.
Roger Miller, yes, you are my very favorite rooster minstrel. And you wrote some kick ass songs.
So happy someone was able to put up a good quality version of this :D Thanks!
Im madly in love with this song.
Roger Miller was a fucking genius.
Why am I just now finding this cover🖤 Thank you
This is a very good rendition of this song. Well done!
I like its jazzy reimagining but nothing compares to the tenderness of the original version in the movie!
I can't get over this cover! So amazing and lovely!
how have I not heard this before! It's lovely.
Honestly a good cover of this. I loved this movie as a child, and I grew to love this band, so the two of them mixed? Sign me up.

Wow! What a brilliant cover!
OH god yes I just had a flashback to my childhood and it was glorious
Wow. Just made my day. Simple things.
ugh right in the feels
I am elated a band remembered and loved this song enough to remake it. well done mum & sons
This is the most wonderful thing I've seen on the internet all week
this is so beautiful.
wow...incredible...just love it
When I'm older there are going to be a few things I look back on.
One of them is going to be stuck in my room revision (studying) for exams listening to Mumford and sons. The latter just makes everything better.
It's just so perfectly their style
I literally just watched Robin Hood 1 hour ago. I didn't even know they had covered this song...
I love this whistle.
thought i found a song no one had covered.....good to see i'm again years too late.
(10/11/12) Nice ... I love the beat of this song. haven't seen Robin Hood in several years but I still remember it. :D
love the movie and the band so this is kinda perfect
Roger Miller was known for his upbeat silly songs, but he also wrote some really depressing ones. This is one of them.
I've never been a huge Mumford guy. But this is fantastic.
Lovely, thanks Gents.
Hats off covering this
Holy shit! The saddest song I ever knew! I’m glad I’m not the only one who knows this tune
Love this cover!!! Plus who doesn't live robin hood!??? Mumford & Sons are the BEST!!!
I realize that this was sung at the lowest point in the movie and was meant to be depressing, but this cover is actually really relaxing
Probably because of the additional instruments and backup vocals. The original is much more lonely and raw.
***** and better.
.....jeezus even the whistling.....wow....beautiful cover to one of my fave disney songs. Is there a way to buy this??
agreed
i feel like my brain might explode any second, because it can't cope with so much awesome.
