Great one, Colin. A good look around. And yes, it looks very nice. I like the systemchoices they give the user. Made their own theme also (many distros are too lazy for that ;-) Worth a checkout certainly!
I've had Titan 1.1 for - well since it was released- and LOVE IT. I was kinda held back on some distros because KDE can get a bit overwhelming- with TOO many choices-- but this is PERFECT.. you have ONE way of doing each funcition instead of 40.. so not that many ways of doing it but you can DO EVERYTHING any other kde can do- wihtout deciding which of the many methods to use. (I messed up a LOT on the regular KDE distros trying to figure out which way to do what. THIS is LIGHT- it's FAST- and STABLE- and KDE- what more can you want??? It picked up all my hardware automatically first run- and I NEVEr had a single issue with it.. NOT ONE.. can't say that about any OTHER distro. I'm running MX21 now- my OWN version from a USB made from the snapshot that you can make in MX!!! TITAN is one I'd recommend to anyone--- if a goofy half-blind hillbilly like me can use it with no problem- ANYONE CAN!!!
I had to add this--- my download speed on the crappy service I have here-- is 4mg!!!! Dial up is probably faster... Anyway- the reason I mentioin this-- is this distro loaded in 4 minutes-- and I added a good bit of software-- with DISCOVER- and it was DONE in under 2 hours---- it normally takes me 6-or better to get up to snuff-- because of the slow download speed..and with configuing everything- setting up my email- etc.... and this was UNDER 2 hours-- BEAUTIFUL!!!
A GOOD HINT_- if you want flatpaks-- go to TITAN TOOLS- and software and ADD THAT FIRST-- before you even do the updates.. then do the updates- and load whatever software you want-- SIMPLE-- and much FASTER.. (and I've reloaded this 4 times while distro hopping--)..
@@pctlc Was for me too-- but then I missed the Flatpak- and I NEED that- I've tried Appimages and had issues with them. I set up Netrunner- and it was almost all appimages- and TELEGRAM opened INSIDE FIREFOX which was a pain the butt.. and i could NOT get rid of it. Took Firefox OFF- properly- and installed regular Firefox instead of ESR- and it worked for a time or two- then started causing issues all over- so I came back to MX..
i wish I'd had that RESTORE DEFAULT in other distros-- finally got a distro that had the built in and didn't NEED it-- everything just worked!!! ha. FIGURES...
