The best thing about Portugal for me, you get great espresso anywhere and the cakes...

Incredible coincidence, I greeted you at the door that day and I didn't even know it was you, I only found out in this video. When you come to our backyard, send a message, it will be a pleasure to accompany you here. The climb they made in the 4th minute of the video is exactly what I do every day to visit Serra da Arrábida. Have a good trip, friend.
I'm from the States, my parents integrated from Portugal in the late 60's. This club ride made me feel like I was home. Viva Portugal!!! Great job, man. looking forward to more!!
They're called "balls from Berlin" because Jewish/German families took refuge in Portugal during WWII and brought the recipe over with them. Beautiful ride! Haven't been able to make it back since COVID, but this really gets the itch going.
It's really great to see my area in your videos, the views are spectacular, it's a shame the fog, next time it will definitely be better. Be careful with Helder, he likes to give people some leg pains😜 Cheers Thomas💪
So so lovely to see you smiling and on a ride with a group who seem like a great bunch. With a sense of humour! The new bike looks fab. Wishing you lots of continued good fortune. Wonderful 😊
Man… what a place scenery looks absolutely insane. The roads look perfect. And the bike looks even better. All it’s done in Essex is rain so hardly any riding for us. 😫
Love the videos Thomas , I moved from Leicester to Australia 8 years ago with the wife and 3 daughters we are living the best life loads of cycling , the coldest I see is 7 degrees in the middle of winter but a hour into the ride it will be 15 degrees 👍🏻
Great to see you settling into life abroad, I moved to Amsterdam 6 years ago and best thing I ever did (apart from booking a return to Mallorca this summer 😉)
Amazing. Reminds me of this years summer bike holidays in Portugal. From Lisbon to Sesimbra. Slept there and next day up that road again (yeah, no more gears 😂) and then up Serra Arrabida down to Setubal Portugal Amo-te ♥️🇵🇹
1:39 A Berliner is any kind of filled/stuffed donut. So, like, jelly, bavarian creme, boston creme, chocolate/vanilla-filled, etc. "Ball from Berlin" hahaha
Thomas, looks like you have fallen in with a good crowd. I look forward to you returning to Essex for the group ride in April May, when you are 5kgs lighter and a mountain goat.
Great to see you out with local riders, and even getting in some gravel! Maybe I missed it in an earlier video, but is there a particular reason why you chose this area, and Portugal, over say Spain and Girona, which seems to be super popular with cyclists? Many thanks for the great content.
I bet your loving the Portuguese roads 😜 let me know when your wheels take you south to Algarve and I’ll take you on the Monchique maratona route 😜🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🇵🇹☀️☀️
Funny , saw your first video (in Mallorca ) and I'm sure we cross ways the day you did sa calobra, and now you are riding my childhood roads , ahaha I'll be there in 2 weeks so pretty sure we will cross paths again. If you want a run for content , every Saturday a huge and very fast group departs from Coina (4kms from Azeitão) group called TGV, grab their wheel , you will have fun 😊 Ride on!
Can I ask, and I’m not sure if you covered it already, but what made you choose Portugal and particularly where you are? I’m currently looking to emigrate, probably to Spain. Feels like such a huge leap into the unknown.
I lived in Lisbon for the last 6 months, would not recommend living close to the city center if you enjoy cycling - the traffic is horrible for at least 25k in every direction
Just do it, I left the U.K. 5years ago hardest thing to do is start new social circles. Especially if your over 35 a lot for couples are parents by then. But do ask yourself do want carry on with your current set up or do you want change ? ☀️☀️☀️🇪🇺👊👍
Be aware that locals drives are not the best ones. Especially on the narrow mountain roads. Especially in Braga 😂 So be sure they would use your way on narrow roads. Stay safe! Come to Porto
Super cool! Ive just fall in love with cycling (September this year) and slowly starting my RUclips! BTW, Im in south Portugal/west Algarve. If you ever around let me know,I would love to ride together and show you best routes around here! Great channel !
I don’t know Thomas. I reckon you’ve made a mistake. Essex looked way better on video 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 I must admit… I’m not missing it!
@@TheCyclingTattooistI can tell you now - it hasn’t stopped raining/snowing since you moved to Portugal… enjoy!
Look for a ride in Montejunto! Another checkpoint you have to see!
The boy is back in action! I think that luck has started to turn in your favour 😉 it’s on the up n up now…….. even on cobbles

Gotta say mate, i love this channel. It kind of reminds me of Cycling Mavens channel in the early days when he just used to go out having fun.
Looks amazing. Change the white trek writing to metallic red or gold or rainbow silver.

That looks like absolutely horribly terribly fun😂😂😂😂😂
