They should’ve muted the mic and asked for rebuttals. Too much interrupting with no benefit for Trump. He was aiming to anger Biden to bring him down to his level of scrap fighting, but it wasn’t able to work. Biden has some inadvertent comedic signs in the debate about the bleach injections. Overall, Trump’s team needs to change strategy to allow Biden to speak then absolutely attack his statements in order to gain an upper hand. They need to attack his racist past which could help lower race relation and minority support for Biden.

The suicide rate has been rising for decades now because more and more kids are raised in broken homes where they can’t count on anyone to care about them and stick by them because the so-called adults (parents) are too selfish and self-centered to care more about their children than themselves (can we all say a-b-o-r-t-i-o-n and no-fault divorce). Also, people have now been taught the THEORY (as fact) that they just evolved randomly and purposelessly from some primordial slime instead of being specially created as an eternal individual being for a wonderful purpose in this life and way beyond...what’s the point of life with that vision of existence?
The small businesses (mostly retail and food, I’d wager) have been struggling for years (only 50% make it past 5 years) and many were only scraping by due to tax incentives and government loans propping them up...it’s sad, but with Amazon and the mass big box retailers and all the cheap China imports, many small businesses (and Americans in general) are just a house of cards waiting for a breeze to come along and blow them down (the entire world shutting down is much more than a breeze and last I checked the President of the United States wasn’t also emperor of planet Earth lol!) People not behaving responsibly financially, not setting aside a little money from each paycheck for emergencies, not telling themselves “No” and living beyond their means (treating ‘wants’ as ‘needs’) are what causes the VAST MAJORITY of American’s financial problems...not who is occupying the White House.

If the Democrats achieve their vision for this country it will no longer be the United States of America that has drawn people here from all over the world seeking liberty and opportunity...it will be China 2.0

I've scoured the internet after the debate and sadly very few people are talking about this. The moderator is there to fix a problem he creates in the first place. If the candidates were, like you mentioned, in a room talking to each other for as long as necessary, they wouldn't feel the need to interrupt and wouldn't need scolded by the moderator. Ironically, Chris Wallace interrupted the most because his questions weren't welcome.

This is my first debate I watched and I thought it went fine. Then I started watching clips and I realized that Chris was not pushing Biden as much as Trump
they did the same thing last election cycle but back then there were responses to Clinton and Trump were allowed to respond to criticisms. Seems like bidens plan is to ignore everything Trump says and prevent a response to anything he says about trump
You shouldn't see this as the average debate. Chris was biased, but we shouldn't have moderators or debaters be this chaotic. Both candidates did not take notes or really prepare for the debate, which earlier debates have done. This was more of an improve debate with candidates using their muscle memory from the past couple years to get by.

Looking back after the initial emotional knee jerk reaction, I agree with your point. It is stacked against him, the questions were so slanted against Trump. It was a total pile on. He had to fight it out, but Wallace didn’t even let him speak when it was Trumps turn.

Having watched with a small group of friends including ex-lefties like me, we thought Trump won handily, even a few minutes in. We’re tired of the apologetic nonsense politic responses that most people give, and I liked the fact that he hounded and kept hitting. He was right about most of what he said, and it was incredibly entertaining. The Media was always going to say the worst no matter what the president said.

Biden sounds so insincere when he talks, almost like he just says what he is being told to say. Trump acts like a jerk in debates but that's Donald Trump, he's loud brash and in your face. Biden on the other hand became really painfull to listen to, he struggled to keep his cool and started to sound smarmy and condecending. I really thought bidens performance tonight could appeal to my calm rational side but just listening to the way he talked drove me nuts.

FOX needs to get a new moderator. Unless I am mistaken it is the moderators job to ask the questions, attempt to keep people on topic, and limit speaking times, etc. It IS NOT the job of the moderator to counter points that the debater is saying. That is the job of the other person debating. So maybe he should have swapped positions with Trump like he ironically suggested. On a totally different note I am 100% supporting Trump, but was honestly surprised my Biden in this. He did much better then I thought he would. Although a lot of that is due to Wallaces help.

I think Trump played a brutal prisoner's dilemma here and asked himself before the debate: 1. "What would I have to do for the media to say I won.?" and 2. "What would Biden have to do for the media to say he lost?" Trump then crunched the universe of possibilities and realized the only way was to drag Biden (and even a biased moderator if necessary) down a rabbit hole by any means. I watched the debate on ABC and tuned in early to hear Stephanopoulos and the panel. They were basically setting their clocks at 8:59 pm to declare a Biden victory (as long as he didn't collapse on stage) and by 10:30 pm they looked in shock saying that nobody had won.

There’s a lot too that. None of my liberal friends on social media right now are singing Biden’s praises. Most just think it was a childish $hit $how...on both sides. Many are wishing it was someone else. Makes you wonder how many will refrain from voting at the top of the ticket.

Trump may have been attempting a "rope-a-dope" here but it backfired. A lot of missed opportunities to zero in on things like racist diversity trainings and antifa problem. I think he cornered Joe pretty well on the question of stacking the court, got Sleepy Joe to stumble around the Green New Deal (even Chris Wallace couldn't let that go and asked "Oh, so you do support the green new deal?"), and backed him in on Antifa and Law Enforcement. Did you notice what he said to Joe about Antifa? "Be careful, they'll try to over throw you too!". That was perfect because that's the big question about Joe is if he's just going to be a puppet of the left and I think Trump did a good job of unveiling that.

Best part of this debate (night) was you 4. Stellar insight from each one of you, and the way you interact as a group was more enthralling than the candidates. If I had to pick my fav line from Trump tonight, it was "𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒇𝒕." It _was_ exhausting. But the deck is so stacked against Trump that being on both the offense & defense is like breathing to him.

I was excited for and looking forward to this debate. I've done my best to educate myself, I am without a doubt voting for Trump because of his policies and performance so far as president.
That being said, I turned off the debate 10 to 15 minutes in because Trump's behavior was such a turnoff - and I'm already on his side.
I have so many friends that are against Trump solely because of his personality. They can't see through this aspect to the bigger issues. If it's a close contest, it just seems unwise to risk losing the election and everything that means for the nation because of not wanting to reign in certain aspects of his personality to serve a higher purpose.
