Kinda disappointed Jeremy didn’t give Michael big ups when he was talking about the tremendous amount of coverage they’ve been giving lately. Maybe it’s just my feed but it seems like he’s been working 7 days a week to bring us the story. His livestreams were the ones that first brought me the news of both the assassination attempt and Biden’s withdrawal from the campaign. With a newborn to boot. With all due respect to the guy, he looks absolutely exhausted.

Well said! Michael's coverage was perfect. Professionalism and compassion. He brought a calming effect like Trump calmed the crowds. I even wrote him a personal letter of gratitude and signed back up for DW. If Ben had covered that asassination attempt, I would have been hysterical and even more irate.

Agree 100% Right now, there's a ton of buzz because it's a new candidate...but it's still the same terrible candidate who dropped out before the primaries in 2020 and is deeply unlikable. Hilary might be a touch more likable, but at least she's seen as having done something. Harris is seen as being picked as a DEI VP and a far left california liberal.

I teach Government & Politics. I watched the ENTIRE Cheatle hearing (well listened while doing laundry, chores, laptop work etc). I didn't know that until Boreing said it. The right needs to get that out there. Makes him seem more human and fatherly as well as respectful. We need to spread that around.

Sadly, I’m very concerned about Kamala as the Dem nominee. Not because of her intellect, skill or diplomacy. But because, as Whoopi Goldberg said, she didn’t care if Joe Biden pooped his pants every day, she was going to vote for him. I fear many on the left, like her, who would vote for Biden will vote for ANYONE, as long as it’s not Trump. Don’t underestimate the power of hatred and disdain. Scary…
Ben is discussing the qualities of Kamala Harris like it matters to democrat voters what her policies are, what her record is, or how irritating she is to listen to. Pretty much. Even before they swapped out Biden, I wasn't planning to believe that Trump has it in the bag until the election is over, he has won, and all election-related challenges have passed. Even then, I should probably not assume he's got it until his second term is over and he hasn't been thrown out of office or killed.
I've always assumed this is going to be another razor-thin margin election just like the last several elections have been. Close enough that the losing side can claim they were cheated for the next four years. Never underestimate the ability of U.S. citizens to line up to vote for their team when the time to actually cast the ballot arrives.

I live in a small town and we have an 8-plex. I'm 70 and live alone so don't go out to movies. BUT I know a lot of people who enjoy making it a "night out" every few weeks. My father was a projectionist for our old theater. Movie houses will always be around because you just can't experience films the same way...even if you have a 60" screen in your home (which a lot of ordinary people don't have).
@@lilzabug Blessings to you. We don't go to the movies a lot like we used to. One issue for us is we have grandchildren and our daughter living with us. It is very hard to get everyone to keep quiet to watch a movie in peace. With that said my wife and I went to see the Twisters movie in a theater by ourselves. It was great to watch a movie in peace.

One of the most frustrating things that I hear is there is vitriol on both sides. That’s not true and if it is true, it’s very different. We’re not wishing death on anyone. We’re not calling anyone Hitler. We’re not saying it’s an existential crisis or trying to scare anyone. we are just normal people who believe in a strong border and that there are two genders and that men and women are different and it’s beautiful. We believe in family and tradition and education we believe in community. They believe in hatred and breaking up the family and mental illness and celebrating craziness. It’s very different.
