Thank everyone who recorded this rare completely sincere true to himself genius and the vast array of brilliant musicians that rode with him. Its a true treasure trove in these idiot times. What an absolute trailblazer.
The loss was like losing a family member; he provided the musical magic that is so much of what I look forward to the most; life was measured in how long before his next visit!
awesome! i likely heard this eight days later in phoenix - and was lucky enough to meet them after the show. wish i could post that photo here. thanks for posting!
The best players are about 10% original & 90% derivative. Allan was the reverse. Except 1% derivative & 99% original. This is incredible number not recorded anywhere else to my knowledge. It's become one of my favourites
not a very good song. allan had a hard time with his pitch shifter live, it always seemed to turn on without his consent. i saw this a number of times, in person, live, like he had no control over teh device. but this is possibly the best live tone i've heard from him, he often struggled with his tone live, and u could tell how it frustrated him. notably the video from germany with the ibanez.warning, there is digital distortion in this audio.

Thanks so much for posting this rare gem.
There is no one else quite Allan for giving you the chills.
I agree
This is different league on so many levels
14 years is never too late in the fourth dimension
For ever Allan !
I was there, I still have my backstage pass on the wall, it has faded a bit over the years. I miss that geezer.
