Great update..oh Belita..Fresian....Percheron, and Lippizzana, too.. special lady..and Clover 🍀 was unusual..so interesting to find out..it explains a lot in temprement and build too doesn't it.. Sugar is looking better..so glad she's not bred..much better for her recovery..great to see the adoptees in their new homes..boy Colorado / Cody has blossomed hasn't he..see..YOU AND TODD DID THAT..👏👏👏👏👏👏 Is the hay expensive because of the weather you have so its harder to produce? I think my pony is a cross of a fell or Dale's pony crossed with a shetland pony He's so so fluffy like shetland and he's shorter than the Dale's or fell pony but he has the fether and look of them but shorter like a shetland It really doesn't matter and he's a gelding so it really doesn't matter but I'm very curious to see if I'm close just by looking because that's not always the case eh!? 😂 I like knowing the names of things including breeds if I can narrow it down I love cross breeds the surprises can be very nice

In many cases, it was not obvious, but in kill pen auctions, no care is taken, to keep mares apart from intact males, so breedinds can happen. Sadly, they do, to horses who are often in poor health & often underweight.
Unlike in dogs or cats, a spay is not normally done, let alone an "abortion". They can still raise out the foals, train them, and there are registries for MIXED-BREDS. Many of the best working horses, even Olypmic jumpers are crossbred, for your information. Wise -up!
