Nice c-trains that Calgary Alberta has, mix of old and new vehicles. A fact here, the city Calgary is named after a place in Scotland, UK called Calgary on the mull an island?
Technically yes - the U2s and the SD160/200 units are not compatible with one-another. The exception is 2101-2102, former ETS units built in 1988 that are electrically-compatible with the SD160s. You can see 2102 with some SD160 units at 5:35 in the video.
I live in Edmonton. I will admit the Calgary C-Train system is more scenic then Edmonton's LRT system. But the only thing I don't like about the Calgary system is that it's all up ground in the downtown core and it really backs up traffic downtown. Edmonton it's all underground and not tying up traffic downtown
I love C-train so much. Every morning I have to take C-train to work. Calgary has a nice C-train.
only Calgary has C-Trains

I LOVE C-TRAIN SO MUCH. EVERY DAY I TAKE C-TRAIN TO WORK
Yep it's way better then using gas and getting stuck in traffic that cars do all the time
When I’m bored I just ride the c-train for fun. The U2’s are my favourite
I have a couple of new rides I recorded last week on the Blue Line.
@@Welwyn22 sorry I only saw your reply now Lol but I saw them, great job

That tunnel entrance by City Hall is very different looking now.
Even the station
did u ever take the West Line???? They have ONE underground station.
I did, but never recorded it. I'll be returning to Calgary in three weeks' time and plan to set that right.
Welwyn22 cool. The Sunalta station is the creepy one.
i love the area area and cnoak cnoak
Great video! Do you know what the song was at the begining? ;)

You should come back in 2016. We're getting new C-Train cars and they will arrive early next year.
+KigoTransit I do hope to return to Calgary someday before much longer - hopefully in June or September 2016. It all depends on a lot though :/
+KigoTransit The first new CTrain car arrived a few weeks ago I think
AwesomeBreakfast It sure did. Currently we're waiting for some of them to arrive. We expect the first new cars to enter service in March or April.

Are the 2 models not compatible. Cuz I only saw the older type cars together and the newer type cars together.

interesting system
This is pretty old. There are three more recent videos of CTrain - 2018, 2019 and 2021

Well that valley line is about to change all that

How come I heard chirping in the background ?
I know this comment is 3 years old but that chirping are crosswalk audio cues for blind people and there is a different tone for both directions
Hate it when they cover the trains in ads

Those train-crossing bells are so annoying. Obviously they're necessary but just not great for the video.
