I made a little lamb for a little girl at church’s birthday . She brought it to me about a year later and said could you give …. A bath ( sorry forgot the name). I told her I would take it to my spa and give her a treatment. It touched my heart to see how much it was loved and played with. The white was gray , needless to say after I washed it it didn’t come much cleaner. So I made her a new one took a piece of fleece on the ear and cut a heart shape out of it and put it in with the stuffing. She was so excited when I gave it back to her! Her mother said how did you get it so clean ! I explained what I did . I’ve kept part of the old on to show me how much a toy I made could be loved.
So again I would like to say thank you for all your hard work putting your pattern’s together and sharing with us ❤️❤️

I put my amigurumi in a tight fitting laundry bag before I wash it in the machine and I have never had any problems with yarn ends coming out - I also just bury them in the stuffing. You make the most beautiful animals! I love watching your videos.💗

I put all mine in washer & dryer on regular wash & dry, not gentle or extra low in dryer just cause I find it doesn’t dry all the way to center, otherwise & I don’t want them smelling musty. I’ll set outside on real hot days afterwards too sometimes but f I think it’s still damp. All of mine in all various types yarn have so far been totally fine. Not a problem.

I’m made a small round cushion out of blanket yarn, and I throw it in the washer and dryer, it comes out, clean and soft and fluffy every time! I wonder if you put the horse in the dryer for a little while, it might get fluffy again. ☺️💕🐴

I wonder if putting them in a mesh laundry bag would keep the ends intact?? Would be a good experiment lol!

Great video topic! My hobby horse from your pattern just came off his stick also. Of course, it had some help with two “littles” playing with one hobby horse, 🫣🤪🤣. But now I’ll give my guy a bath, also, in the washing machine! So great to see you!!

Hiya, good to see you. Those are great tips. Its always a 'thing', when deciding how to clean amigurumi. Especially that type of yarn used. I have Rabbits in chenille type yarn thats a nearly 4#. You've given me the confidence to do it Valerie😊 Thank-you❣

❓ 1 question is the yarn still soft after hand washing it? Or does it get a lil matted like the washer? ❓
P.s. I love how I noticed how much you loved ur 1st proect🐑 before you hugged and said you loved it lol😊

it is a little matted but not as much. Also someone told me they put theirs in the dryer for a little bit and they think it fluffs it back up, so maybe you could try that if you wanted it fluffy again.
