Amira always sings such happy things. The first time I heard this, it took me a few seconds to understand what this song is about. Such a beautiful song, such a beautiful sentiment, sung so beautifully.
You are not the first person affected so strongly by this song from Amira. I believe that anyone who has lost someone feels this song deeply. I find it more consoling to believe that each star above us is the essence of a person we lost.
Amira transcends anything. She is beyond unbelievable. Perhaps there has never been another like her. Her voice just pulls you in and takes you on a trip, the destination, you know not of.

She is still improving. A species-class talent with incredible determination and discipline. As she continues to develop her art, and her body and voice continue to mature for another 10-15 years, I think she will become the standard against which all other sopranos are measured, for at least the rest of this century. Wow whats so impressive besides the incredible voice is the ease of her delivery , she is not struggeling to hit a particular note , it just seems to flow out of her effortlessly , so now we have another young super star in both Angelina and now Amira , they are only one year apart in age and both have been singing from such a young age , they are so young and allready super stars.

When I hear this song I think about my dad whom we lost seven years ago today. Telling the hospital to turn off the machine is one of the hardest things a family can do but it was the right choice. The pain of missing him never goes away completely, it just lessens over time.

Amira has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard, and I am not a fan of opera. There is just something about her that reaches out and takes over your heart and mind with every performance. This song is from her third CD _With All My Heart_ and it is probably my absolute favorite of all of her songs. It was written in memory of her grandmother. I have listened to this countless times, and always end up in tears before she gets too far into it. Wonderful reaction to a wonderful performance! I hope you will react to her cover of _Gabriellas Sång_ sung in Swedish. It is also otherworldly.
I beg to differ. Credit where it's due, this is a very moving performance, but for me a certain young lady named Jackie Evancho still has the edge in vocal perfection.
Little did you know how Amira would affect you, going back to those early reviews on Holland's Got Talent, then when you reacted to her and Andre. If you don't have videos of all of her performances yet, what are you waiting for. I can't go a day without listening to several of her performances. Amira was my favorite young star until Angelina Jordan came into my view. Her progress since Holland's Got Talent has been remarkable. So glad she stuck with the singing instead of going the Olympics route. (Ha, ha - as if there was ever any doubt!). I don't love her any less, mind, but Angelina simply touches me a bit deeper and in more places. I still go back and watch her audition every now and then just to see again how stunned the judges were. And for that other young girl they flash to for a second, the one with the pulled-back hair and the open mouth. I imagine she was one of the other contestants waiting to perform, and you can see in her face what she must have been thinking: "My God, I have to follow THAT!!". Don't know if that's true, but thinking it always brings a smile to my face.

Dont count her out on Olympic games. She has won two marathons in her age class and is quite good at ice skating. Not yet Olympic caliber but she might get there.
What I love is how the parents are encouraging their kids to do sports and arts. Many parents focus on only one area and the children grow up unbalanced. I think balance in everything is necessary for a successful life. Her parents are doing it right... and it shows. 😍

Wow, what a heartfelt reaction to this lovely song! So many times we are reduced to tears because our beautiful Amira sings from her soul like no one else can! I recently received her new CD and LOVE it, worth every penny! One great song on it that I love, sung in swedish is Gabriella's Song! Currently I subscribe to 6 classical singers - all young ladies. Amira was the first one I "discovered" and is by far my favourite. I cannot watch and listen to her without "tearing" up - and I'm a cantankerous 87 year old male.
