Her grandmother Elsa saw the amazing reaction to her first audition, but passed shortly after., before the semi finals. Amira had to postpone her masterclass with Andre Rieu in order to attend her funeral. She sang o mio babbino caro at that function.

Oh my God she’s just she’s amazing. She could make a career in opera if she wanted to. I don’t think that’s what she wants to do. I think she’s happy just doing concerts and stuff and that’s understandable. I respect her choices but oh my God she’d be amazing.
