I started out with Seiko but very difficult to ignore Citizen….now more than half of my watches are by them. This one is a great watch period….yes people may complain about the bracelet, but since it goes well with angular design, then no complaints.
I agree with the speaker, 3 improvements will make it much better, 1. the crown (Chamfer at the edge), 2. the bracelet (with micro adjustment), 3. is from me (the second hand should also lume). I nearly brought this watch, but after the Longines HydroConquest GMT was issued. I switched to Longines.
I can´t make up my mind. Which model to go? Initiale the pepsi colour caught my eyes. Somehow sporrtif casual elegant. The Batman version is a little more decent. Any help out there?
You can’t go wrong with either, I got the Batman, bro has the Pepsi. I find both very versatile, both pop, with the blue a little more so, If that’s important. I couldn’t be happier with the Batman though, goes well with everything.
According to my information the 9075 also features 3hz but the new 9054 belongs to the 9 series of Miyota movements that are categorized as „premium automatic“ movements. The differences are probably that, as far as I know, the 9054 isn’t used by any brands other than Citizen. It seems that the 9054 is a Citizen-only version of the 9075. It also has a better anti-magnetic rating of handling up to 16,000 A/m. Another difference is that the 9075 is claimed to have an average accuracy rating of -10~+30 seconds per day, whereas Citizen states the 9054 runs at -10~+20 seconds per day.
FYI, all Citizen (Miyota) cal.9xxx movements beats at 28,800 vph, which translates to 4Hz, 8 beats per second. Different between cal.9075 and 9054 are; Citizen cal.9054 have higher power reserve, better anti-magnetic and better accuracy compared to the 9075.
@@indratan6304 yes, but why should it always be ceramic? Look at the Fifty Fathoms for example which also uses sapphire crystal. Personally I even like aluminum bezels the best because of the specific look. Inmho it‘s not about the material but the look
The integrated bracelet excludes it from being the best GMT in 2023. Great looking watch but I like to wear my watches on bracelets, nato and rubber straps
@@watchyouwant1617 anything integrated is not my favourite. That said, I have a PRX and I love it. I would like to have the option to throw a field strap on it though. Ah well.
Citizen series 8 is a semi premium Watch with special one of the kind movement built just for this Watch, Seiko 5 GMT doesnt stand a chance vs series 8-just 9054 movement is better than whole Seiko Watch. I really think that this Watch is Way underpriced!!

Thanks for the comment! Also came from Seiko back to Citizen (my first „real“ watch back when I was a kid).

0:46 If 2023 were two watches, it would be these. They won.
Totally agree

Great video; I also have the orange Seiko 5 Sports GMT.
Thank you very much for watching and leaving a comment. Much appreciated!
I need one
Love my citizen 8 gmt ❤❤❤
I can totally relate 😎
Thank you for the nice video!
Thanks for watching!
Would have looked lovely in a jubilee
Absolutely! That would have been something different!
If this is a 4hz citizen, how does the movement compare to the 3hz Miyota caliber 9075?

@@watchyouwant1617 interesting - thanks. The greater accuracy makes the Citizen have the edge over the microbrands they support via Myiota
also this has a 50 hour power reserve vs. the 9075's 42 @@watchyouwant1617

Is the bezel 48 or 24 click?
48
Love the Series 8 watches. Bought a 830 myslef. Amazing watches. True affordable luxury
Under 900 euros? No way. There well over 2,000 in my country. Not worth that much to me.
Yes, 840 each for buying two of them (Pepsi and Batman). Even for 1500 it would be a good deal. 2000 ist definitely too much
@@watchyouwant1617Could you tell me the seller/shop I am EU based as well.

Maybe Citizen will provide a (integrated) rubber or leather strap in near future. That‘ll be nice
