I have long been a fan of JLC's Reverso and consider the model to be one of the most iconic players in the dress watch space. Among the slew of new green dial watches released this year, JLC also added a tasteful green variant of the Reverso Tribute Small Seconds. In this video, I'll take a detailed look at the new green Reverso to see how one of the best in the business takes on 2021's most popular watch trend.

As I get older, and my tastes in watches become more dialed-in, the Reverso really stands out as a classy dress/sport watch. It's also more affordable than a "desirable" Rolex/Omega, and far more interesting.
EXCUSE ME WHAT LOL
MORE AFFORDABLE THAN AN OMEGA? 😂 THE OMEGA DRESS WATCH IS 2.5K THIS IS ENTRY LEVEL 10K AND MORE EXPENSIVE THAN STEEL ROLEX
agree to a certain extend. BUT will definitely challenge that "sport" point. Its a dress watch
This is what I call a timeless design. It was beautiful when it came out in the past, it's beautiful today and it will be still beautiful also in 100 years from now. Amazing.
One of the most iconic watchmaker's watch in green dial now, nice. Appreciate the detailed review mate.
You’ve truly got a unique, locked in, individual lane with your videos man. No one is putting out videos even close to this quality. Keep killing it.
The reverso gives the term “timeless design” a whole new meaning. The watchmakers watchmaker will forever be my grail brand and/or grail watch.
I'm saying the Reverso is simply fascinating, no matter which model you're looking at. As for the green trend? Definitely an interesting one. As much as I prefer the blue color when talking about colored dials, I still say green can look nice too. I mean Seiko's Cocktail Time dials are just so nice and sharp. It'll definitely be interesting to see some more takes on green trend.
Aesthetically gorgeous, timeless design, brand pedigree, uniqueness... all in such a small package. Love the Reverso Tributes.
I think my personal favorite is the Burgundy.
The reverso silhouette is a classic. The green however, feels more of a trend.
I'm pretty sure future collectors would look to this era of watchmaking and see the green trend with fondness, considering that the watches that the green dial trend has produced are all pretty good looking. Especially when they would compare it with other watch trends of this era like the gaudy blinged out watches that rappers wear or that dreadfull AP Black Panther.
@@salim4270 oh absolutely true... My perspective is way more simplistic. Certain silhouettes and color blocking are just timeless, and simply more versatile for an average watch enthusiast. The Green dial is quirky yet subtle. But I don't see it as your first or primary dress watch, even for an eccentric collector.
Then again, a quick strap change and I might just do a 180 on my take ... 🤔😉🤫
@@aCrowsfeet That's true, but honestly I can see myself wearing a green watch as my main watch, especially if the shade of green isn't too flashy and if there are other details on the watch that doesn't turn the green color into the main feature. This JLC is an example of that. I also absolutely love that pistaccio green chronograph that Breitling released.
@@salim4270 those are both good picks tbt. I won't be surprised if I end up hunting for a green dial bucket list item by the end of this conversation.... 😄
@@salim4270 Your com was like the perfect description of "not looking like a Rolex Hulk" 😄
The green feels as it was always a part of the line up. Great looking watch.

I like the Archie way
I like to call it JLC
I mean if you wanna learn about the watches, why not learn the proper way of pronouncing the brand?
Very interesting and professional presentation! Thank you!!
When you suggested I might want to get one of these when you reviewed my collection ( thank you again by the way), I thought "hey Teddy knows me without even knowing me" I definitely want one of these, probably the blue, but I think these would look really good on the light calfskin brown strap they make in the same shape. I think it'd give them a bit more of a dressed down look. Great episode! Always love seeing JLC on the channel.
It feels so good to have a reverso on my wrist while Im watching this 👌🏼👌🏼
Green reverso looks so good . It truly is the new blue 😍
How is it anything you put on your wrist looks great! Thank you for the continued informative content and keep it coming Teddy.
Excellent review. Regards.
A great review Teddy, I do like the rather muted green dial on this tribute but I'd have a difficult time choosing between this and the burgundy red tribute. Green is certainly becoming the trend for dial colours and maybe that is one reason I would be considering another colour. Blue has been popular for many years as has the evergreen err.. black or silver dials. Colour trends tend to age badly but at least in the watch community it seems that these trends last longer than other areas. Size wise I'm more than happy with my Duoface large on my 7" wrist, very comfortable to wear as well. You can also wear this watch anywhere (but not in the sea) and it flies under the radar for most people. For people who know about these are also happy to talk about them from my experience, usually with the question "is that a Duoface".
Love the green Reverso. Heck, I'd take any of them! One of the extremely few rectangular case watches that I would love to own and wear.
My absolute grail watch (though in a more traditional color). It oozes elegance, yet is sporty and compact. Brilliant 👍👍👍
My husband just got his green reverso that he’s been drooling over for a while. It’s my favorite of his so far. It’s beautiful.
I love it. The dual face especially👍🔥🔥🔥
I have always like these watches ⌚and green is my favorite.
Thank you Teddy another great review 👏👍
Beautiful dial color for a beautiful watch!
Your videos are literally art!!!!
I can’t describe how awesome it is to see more green on dials. For me, a lot of what defines what a watch means to me and the emotional connection I feel with it is the dial, and so I made a decision a couple years ago that I’d only buy a watch if I felt it’s dial truly interested me.
However, with many brands still using very conservative dial colours in most of their production models, it’s always felt as if my criteria would leave me empty handed. However, seeing this addition of green in many watches across the industry gives me a lot of hope lol.
P.S. for those wondering, the first real watch I bought in this commitment, and the one I continue to wear almost daily is the silver/blue cocktail time :)
a timepiece with a unique identity. Thanks to your well-curated review he helped me in choosing the color. Thank you.
Awesome video, Teddy. I love how your photography really captures the beauty of this timepiece. Aren't you tempted to add one to your collection? It looks great on your wrist.
I adore this watch line; tribute duo face with the moonphase is my grail
Longines recently released a green dial version of the Spirit too.
REVERSO IS JUST SOOO DANG CLASS!
The Reverso is absolutely beautiful. Personally I love green dials. I generally like white, blue and green dials but not in any particular order. It's more the style and type of watch that suits a particular colour. If I were buying one of the Reverso models you've shown here, I would find it very difficult to choose between the green and blue.
Beautiful watch, thank you Teddy, nice review. 👍
This is my favorite watch from Jaeger LeCoultre. The new green, red (burgundy) and blue dial colors look great. I am sure I saw one in brown many years ago.
Your videos have given me a lot of insight into the industry so thank you so much. I’m thinking of getting my first entry level luxury, a quartz (I know they’re slightly looked down on) Longines Conquest. Do you think this would be a good piece? I’m looking in the 1000 dollar range
Great video. Stunning watch!!!!!
Now do a JLC Reverso alternatives video. I'm on a budget 😆
Yup....we have champagne tastes on a kool-aid budget. You may want to look at the Longines Dolcevita, Hamilton Boulton, or Bulova Joseph Breton line.
Rotary Reverso.
Yes please
@@morgan97475 I already have a Longines and a Hamilton, but the Bulova with the Salmon dial has been on my radar.
@@triumph2013 Baume & Mercier Hampton might also be interesting for you
I just received delivery of my Reverso Tribute Monoface Green and couldn't be happier. It's thin and elegant but while it's classified as a dress watch, you can dress it up or down. Despite reviews that try to put it in the box of dress watches, it's subdued enough that you can wear it with jeans and a t-shirt as easily is you could wear it with a business suit.
JLC reverso has been my dream watch since I was in high school. Tribute is The Reverso to me. Now debating between Blue > Red > Green. Haven't seen the green in person tho.
Great video and neat watch here, Teddy! The Reverso is one of those watches that is cool and classic and that I lie a lot but not for me... just doesn't suit my lifestyle somehow.
I think the green trend will give rise to a lasting presence of green dials going forward but in less concentration in the future than the "green dials everywhere" trend right now.
Question on deployant buckles - you mentioned the JLC buckle is set up to be easily removable for use on other straps. Is that unusual? Does a Tissot deployant buckle (for example) not allow for swapping to another strap?
I think they nailed it with this colour, it is very much an Art Deco shade of green which is perfect for the year it originally came out
Thanks great review
I love it. The colour looks natural on this watch.
i just bought the white color, last week.
still adjusting the wear and style.
hope it grows on Me.
Gorgeous watch and as an Irishman I support the trend of green dials!!!🇮🇪🇮🇪😁
I love the red burgundy as it matches with your lipstick 💄 color so much.
Love me a Reverso, don’t have one myself but for our 25th anniversary the equestrian Mrs Leano got gifted a Reverso Duetto Duo Q2268110 on the steel beads of rice bracelet. She calls it her “JJ”.
Love you work teddy
One of the most iconic and classiest watch references of all time! 90+ years in production, that's a grande feat on it's own.
The green color is beautiful 🤩
Just bought mine from nico of pride and pinion. I absolutely love it, it looks black in the dark and vibrant emerald in the sun.
Regarding dress watches during “these times,” I love wearing mine (Nomos Orion) with sweat pants. Elegance has no boundaries, and it’s for me, after all.
Well said.
im a young guy, dress casual but I'm slowly starting to accept I like dress watches more than sport watches. That touch of class you get is underrated
I wear my rose gold duoface with sweatpants and sweaters all the time. It’s a solid look.
Nice video and congratulations on the June issue of WatchTime featuring… you! 🍻
Thank you 🙌🏻
Greetings from Dubai. Wow what a nice video indeed. My wife and I were constantly discussing which one to get.
The green is amazing, blue is just a little too old ( still super attractive). We decided on the burgundy.
The video is great but doesn’t do justice to the watch’s high quality of polishing. Must see in real.
Really fed up with Omega-Rolex-Patek videos. Thanks a ton for this video buddy 👍
That is a really beautiful watch.
Hi Teddy great review just wanted to know that my wrist is small so would this watch be a good fit for me for reference I wear watches in sizes ranging from 36mm to 39mm as this is the perfect range for my wrist.
Waiting for your reply.
This was a good review.
Love the green ! Since I have a green watch already I’ll take the duo face !
Great watch. Great review. Greetings from India!
Thank you for watching!
The green is stunning, it's the right green. Set off by the black jacket and crisp white shirt...perfection.
We need more of Teddy in a suit, looking great!
I love the new Green watch trend, I've been looking for a green watch, but not at the Reverso's price point hahaha, and about the watch, its beautiful yes, but ever since JLC released the Dual face, I can't see another Reverso with only one "face", great video as always Teddy !
Check out the new Cartier Santos de Cartier green dial with green alligator strap. Awesome. Also,…Tissot Gentleman green dial is really fantastic looking.
I knew you really loved this watch when you first talked about it with Mr. Wonderful aka Kevin O’Leary It is stunning 😍
While I feel like green is a trend for watch dials as of now, I for one am happy about it. In the case of JLC and the green reverso, I freaking love it! Sadly I will never be able to own one.
Green dials done well, like this reverso definitely has, will remain classics for a long time.
That red one looks great.
Great watch! I was looking for this one for quite a bit, but I ran into a IWC Novecento Calendar #3545 instead, not sure if I should pull the trigger. What is your view on the IWC @Teddy
if they made this with a cream dial I'd buy one
Stunning.
This reverso looks really good with that suit.
I would love to see the green reverso with custom made rubber strap that fits perfectly in OG claps.
Would love to take it to the gym 🤘🏻💪
What do you think of Davosa timepieces. I own a few they are amazing
Love your channel and how you articulate watch pieces. If I win the current sweepstakes, the Hamilton Boulton Mechanical (1st choice) or, Frederique Constant Vintage Rally Healey Automatic green dial - thank you.
Oh man, great video, beautiful watch, expensive, but interesting.
Reverso is such a classic that it will continue to stand the test of time. I love mine, it’s probably my favourite, but I wondered if I should have got the blue Tribute rather than the classic small seconds medium. Not sure...what do you think @teddy?
I'm currently debating between the classic medium small seconds monoface and this green tribute 🤔
I have a white dial small seconds Reverso and thought this was it but after seeing this video I really want that green dial Reverso.
Love the dual face
A really good review, this will be my next watch it will be what colour.
Any square dress watch like this or the Cartier Tank gives me old New York wealth vibes. Definitely has its own attitude about it that I love but definitely couldn’t pull off. As for other JLC and Cartier models, I wish the Master collection was manual wound and I couldn’t pull off a Santos with how much I’d scratch the hell out of it. All great watches for the right person but sadly 2 brands that don’t work for me even though I think their watches are stunning and icons.
Green and blue are my fovourite versions.
Have the blue one. (And I'd still choose blue over red or green. Just me.)
Green is def in, just got the CC Bronze in green!
For the giveaway does it matter if the watches say out of stock?
My grail watch! Stunning
Ted, I own the 2016 SIHH Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Duoface White/Blue... nuff said!
Beautiful Watch Beautiful Man
Ha, GAYYYYYYYYYYYY
Awesome!!!!
Prefer the tribute blue duo face as my favorite! Second is the blue. Wouldn’t go fir the red or green - I couldn’t pull off
Reach out if you (and Courtney is also invited) are interested in coming to a UM Big House Football game this fall on me. Scott from Michigan
Reverso Tribute Duo is my grail 2nd to my SBGA413. *drools*
I disagree about having to be a specific type of individual to wear this watch. I think dress watches should be worn more casually because they’re simply way too beautiful to be worn only when dressed up. I bet this watch would look amazing on blue jeans and a white t-shirt!
Agreed. I'm wearing a pretty good watch right now while dressed in track pants and a hoodie.
I wear my Reverso Tribute Moon in casual wear as well.
Yep, green dial and green strap would be a nice alternative to the classic silver dial and ostrich strap. Which IMO is still a great combo for a casual combination.
I wear my Reverso duoface with trainers, T shirt and shorts - changing to a quick release coloured suede strap
Totally agree with you, I wear my Reverso with pretty much anything, it's such a gorgeous watch it would be a shame to wear it only when I wear a suit.
Personally, I like the blue and the burgundy, because I feel they are a little more timeless whereas the green limits the wearability. But, of all Reversos, I prefer the Dual Face.
The green watch I'm wanting should go with a rough brown strap. The Panomaticlunar green comes with that kind of strap. It's not clear if this watch would work. The Portugieser green might. But there's that Grand Seiko green that just came out too. Basically, I want green watch for a brown strap or maybe a bracelet.
Totally surprised by all the green releases in the same year. How do they come up with the same color at the same time. I never understood the same in fashion either.
Anyway - black or white: always classic; blue: good choice; burgundy: outgoing stylish; green: bites with all the shirts I have
Can you make a video about Fortis watches and your thoughts on the brand?
Contrary to many people's opinions on the green dial trend, I'm pretty sure that this trend is going to be remembered fondly by future collectors. I can already see watch articles and videos made about this era calling it the "green phase" and vintage green watches being sought after.
Green dail is my favorite I m buying a 3 watches green Seiko alpinist , Seiko presage cocktail blue dail , Seiko 5 sports black colour 👍
Green with envy!
I will own a Reverso Dueface. It's my absolute grail dress watch.
I wonder, who is making you so many video scenarios for so frequent shots. You upload several videos a week on both channels. Are toy having a scenario team for it? Best wishes!
I am intrigued by the reverso watch and am a big fan of JLC. What are your thoughts on the Galaxy (aka mystery dial) JLC?
Great watch, the dual face is really great, also the green one, but what do I with the Flipside if I don‘t intend to to a graving?
Play polo?
Play lots more polo! Teddy your the best!!! Do keep up the great work!
Nothing
Is this watch easy to get? Or do I supposed to be on a waitlist?
