This was an excellent discussion, and I very much appreciated the reflections on the connection between Democracy and Philosophy that Matt emphasized. I find Segall's reference to Steiner's tripartite model of market-government-culture most useful, and certainly one of the major problems today is related to hoarding on the market, and questions of a maximum income/wealth. Although how to do that is not so clear. Also appreciated the optimism about the future of philosophy outside of traditional academic paths.
