    I remember watching a NatGeo story (maybe 5 years ago) about hunters hunting bears: one hunter was under investigation for killing a endangered bear during the autopsy of the dead bear they discovered that the bear was a hybrid (Grizzly & Polar Bear). The hunter was off the hook of being charged with a crime, but this incident triggered scientists to investigate the territorial ranges of the Grizzly & Polar bears. They set up cameras at a beached whale carcass in northern Alaska or Canada - multiple Grizzly Bears and multiple Polar Bears were feeding on the whale carcass. It was stunning it was like watching a "Wild West Saloon Brawl" on one side of the whale carcass and yet on the other end of the whale carcass harmony. The Grizzly Bear beat the Polar Bear for feeding dominance on a section of the whale carcass!

    • @polarguidebook4618
      @polarguidebook4618  2 года назад +6

      Thanks for your comment, yes, much of the evidence suggests that grizzly bears, although smaller than polar bears, are more dominant. If they don't get along, hybrids could become more common or the polar bear could become extinct altogether.

      @@polarguidebook4618 Possibly the Polar Bears were smarter, and did not use unnecessary energy on fighting the grizzly. A Polar Bear would probably kill a Grizzly fairly easy in a serious fight. A grizzly is only part time carnivore, while the Polar Bear only eats meat, and a bit of fish. It should be the superior fighter.

The pony pictured next to the polar bear in your video is no more than 1.3 meters, 130 cm which is 13 hands tall...

    The video had one job: to get the proportion comparison examples right. But it failed to do that. At the comparison shown at 1:00 the bear has 237 centimeters instead of 300 centimeters. Apologize for your inaccuracy. Do your job right.

      @@astradala1845 No, Siberian tigers are not as tall as polar bears, nowhere near twelve feet! Simple math confirms that, (nevermind visual confirmation!).
      - polar bears are longer in body length (tail not included, that's irrelevant)
      - polar bears stand taller on all fours i.e. longer legs
      So, how are they taller upright? You have no basis, it's nonsense.
