You're being deceived because you're never told about the ever increasing number of apostates. The best research shows that when those born and raised within Islam are provided with proper education, and the freedom to choose religion, 23% become apostate with around half then identifying as atheist. The other factor kept from you is the fact around 25% of those claimed to be Muslim pick and choose what parts of the Quran to believe and what to ignore. That of course makes them apostate. Education is curing Islam, learn to live with it.
