    Thanks for the video. Lot of information I never knew between the two brands, especially Victory motorcycles. But I see the Harley like a 1911, both have been around quite a while and proven designs...back many years ago. But, today's technology is just so much better. A Harley is what you show your friends in your garage, A Victory is what you ride with your friends, A 1911 looks all cool and you show your friends, but a Glock 30 is what you use for every day carry, not the 1911. But in the end it's all about personal choice.

    I just bought a Victory Jackpot and I live for it. Ive owned about 27 bikes and this is my Favorite. Victory's catch phrase is true, "ride one and you'll own one"

    I am at a loss to how anyone could watch this series of movies and still buy a Harley if they were looking for a V twin cruiser. There can be no denying this is an outstanding example of what we could all do instead of hanging on to some long defunct manufacturing process or the simple exporting of jobs to China! Well done guys at Victory, you should be inspiring most of the western world. This is how we can save our economies. Start making good stuff again!

    I have several friends who have owned Harley bikes and have since moved to Victory. Harley Davidson make pretty bikes and I would love to own one... but I have a Kingpin Deluxe that looks as good as any Harley and it is far more dependable. My friends who own Victory motorcycles are very happy and have had no problems other than replacing the belts at high miles.

    Now that was a wonderful comparison, and demonstration. I love the look of the Victory, but still have a sense of brand wanna be with Victory. I would never compare a Victory with a Harley, BMW or Yamaha since they are all VERY different bikes. They are all unique, it's try them all and pick the one that suits your wants and needs best.

    After seeing this 5 segment series, the Victory website, and other vids here, I am seriously thinking about getting a Hammer 8 Ball or Vegas 8 ball instead of the HD's I've been dreaming about. Few minor tweaks to the stock set-up and I think the Hammer 8-ball is killer looking. I would swap out those really ugly turn signals, swap the bars for drag bars and add a throaty exhaust. Last thing that would make it perfect would be if Victory offered traditional spoke wheels.

    actually im glad you asked because i own own and yes it is very easy to pick up. i have layed it over just like in the video just to purposely show people how easy it is to pick up,it is recomended that you get the side handles that mount near where the passenger sits and get the saddle bag protector bars also :)

    I do somewhat agree with you. I am also tired of the Vic- HD battle. It does seem like they are trying to talk you into something and I have said this elsewhere on U-Tube.I just got a new bike last week and am riding a Vision.This is my 2nd one. I have owned several HDs and other brands over the yrs. I got the vic after test riding a Ultra classic,Road glide, G wing and a bmw.I made up my own mind and know vid on here is going to make me change my mind.Ride what makes you happy.

    As a longtime Harley owner, I was impressed by your presentation videos and the engineering that went into these fine bikes. I have, however, had several quality and durability issues with Polaris ATV's, with the factory being mostly uncooperative. This would make me skeptical of Polaris products, but I would not rule out a Victory in the future, if they are as fantastic as they seem. It is good to see American manufacturers stepping up and providing choices for the consumer. Good job, Victory!

    I purchased a 99 Victory Cruiser, ran it 100k miles. I sold it to a friend a purchased a 2001 Victory Cruiser currently at 50k miles. Repairs and problems are virtually non existent. I do all the service work myself. As stated in the videos, if you want a motorcycle to ride and enjoiy, Victory is the one. Admittedly the new Vics are great and someday I will get one of those. But as long as I can still find good Cruisers out there, you just cant beat the Hammer.

    Impressive my friend. All my friends ride Harley's. I just about ready to trade in my Vulcan 900. And pick up a Victory. Only thing I am not too fond of is the stock pipes on the Victory's I think they look and sound terrible. But some of the aftermarket pipes sold for the Victory are amazing and actually bring the bike alive. There is no reason on earth a person should buy a Harley after watching these 5 video's. Good job my friend. I lived in Tucson for 12 years. My dad still lives out there.

    Hey Mike, just wondering can Abs be added on to a Victory 8 Ball model? I really like the Victory Cross Roads 8 ball but I'm slightly disappointed it doesn't come with ABS Brakes. I understand the 8 ball models are stripped down which translates to No Abs And No cruise control AND are also Blacked Out (no chrome) which is why I am leaning towards this specific model.

    I just watched the 5 segments and never knew all this stuff about Vics. I bought one in 2006, a 2000 SC as a vtwin experiment having been riding a "rocket" since 2000. I almost bought a new HD dyna sport for $12k and got a deal on the SC for less than half. Although the resale value is poor on the bike I bought it to ride, not to look cool sitting on it. With saddlebags and a huge saddle that looks like it came off a horse it makes for a good ride from the ocean to the gulf. As for HP , I was told by the former owner it has 90hp but I don't know, It will go 70 @ 3k rpm and easily take off from 86mph. With the mini winshield I can ride @ 100 easily.like an overweight NINJA and the brembo brakes work well. While it uses 5-6 q on an oil refill the chore is very easy as the filter is in the rear and filters can be bought @ walmart for about $6. Also changing tires is pretty easy on the rear As I can use a crotch rocket stand to lift up the rear of the bike,

    One last note. I had an aftermarket intake put on my 06 Kingpin. I got a 20% increase in power and torque. It cost me $500 and change and that included the dyno tune. Dr. Dyno was in the trailer next to Lloyd. He came over looked at my triple digit numbers and he told me he couldn't get a Harley to even consider a 100/100 for less than $5300.

  • @Victory2012ky
    @Victory2012ky 12 лет назад

    One last thing about the debate over Victory and HD is the American made part of it. A dealership shared with me that there are laws concerning the "Made in the USA" aspect and the requirements for advertising it. Over 80% of the parts to build the motorcycle has to come from US manufacturers. Harley is far from meeting that number where Victory has less than 20% made abroad. I can't prove it, but that's what the dealership said, and this particular dealer sold both Harley and Victory.

  • @ArizonaVictory
    @ArizonaVictory  12 лет назад

    Well the Victory Vision was down and resting on its built in Tip Over protection so that is as far as it tips over, Victory did their homework, so if the bike were to fall over your nice paint and chrome does not get damaged. Even if your Saddlebags were open and the Vision fell over the bike was designed so even the saddlebag lids would not hit the ground if they were open. Not sure why some people have an issue with a bike designed to save the consumer money in the event you drop your bike.

    Comfort and ride are pretty close IMO. I did like the way the Vision handled over the XC but I think thats just personal taste. I live in Minnesota so the wind protection on the Vision was a factor in my getting it also since I can ride it when the temps go below 45 without getting cold.Keep in touch and let me know if you get one.

    Can't argue even if I wanted to...and I don't. I was so ready to treat myself to a B-Day Road King but after watching these segments, I gotta think Vision or Cross Country now. And the Vision is less than the full dress X, go figure that...nice

    The Victory Vision was down on its built in Tip overs and that is the limit, nice feature Victory designed into the bike and it saves the consumer huge amounts in the event of a drop or layover, so what I hear from most is About time a manufacture did something to save the consumer money and in the event of a drop the Vision has fantastic protection.

    I own a 91 Fxrp H/D and the 1340cc Evo motor is way better than the new twin cam motor H/D in my opinion. I had a chance to test ride a Victory Vegas and I liked the ride , but with stock pipes it sounded like a scooter. I have a few friends that own a Victory bike that has had Major big time problems with the Transmissions in them. You never covered that in your videos. Im thinking of picking up a used 2005 Vegas but this problem they have had leaves me questioning it. Good video's though.

    As a Harley owner since 1984, I never considered anything else till now. Two points after watching all 5 segments. 1: Anyone can pick up a 800lbs bike alone if you know how to do it. 2: My 2006 Electric Glide Classic touring has never leaked oil and has given me no problems. However, no one can argue that the bikes run too damn hot. Victory technology builds a better engine. Harley refuses to get an water cooled engine which is huge. I am so use to heal-toe shifters.Why Victory doesn't have this

  • @thereve

    Very cool bike and fascinating series. Its one thing for an idiot like me to make fun of HDs, but this guy is sticking with the facts. I don't foresee myself being able to buy any bike is not used and made in Japan in the near future. However, Victory would be on my short list if I was in the market for a premium brand touring bike after watching these. I assumed Victory just rehashed the ancient HD tech to cash in on the pirate craze.
    But 800 pounds isn't light. Even for a touring bike.

    I tried the same, walk over, technique to get on and off my Harley Road Glide without any problems. Also, I am not sure how small you are or your friends, but I have no problem picking up my Harley from the ground.
    With that said, I believe in many respects the vision is a great bike, I just don't like the styling of the bike, to art deco for my taste. Maybe if it had different fenders, tank, fairing, saddlebags, handlebars, and exhaust I would be interested in one.

    @Freiermuth631 I do. I bought a Harley because I like the Fat Bob, I didnt get the Fat Bob because I wanted a Harley. I also own aan older Yamaha FZ which is a blast to ride. Use to own a Suzuki too. Sport bikes have a different purpose than a cruiser. But I can honestly tell you my Harley is dependable, comfortable, fun and well made.

    Buy what bike you want to and don't worry about what others think. Nothing wrong with some friendly competition from other brands & Victory stomps the guts out of H.D. It's true...

    A friend of mine has bought a Harley and he is lyric about it. Trying to pursuade me to buy a Harley aswel. For some time I was playing with this idea. Looking up adverts about it and gathering all the info i could about Harley.My main concern has always been the maintenance of a Harley. Not to mention the price of it. After seeing the videos from Victory Motorcycles.........good luck Harley owners. Hello Victory Bikes.My choice is final. In time I,ll get me a Victory Motorcycle.

    I've got a 87 FLH Harley, I love it to bits but it's a hog on your time for maintenace. I've got two 87 air-head BMWs as well---they do 3 times the mileage each for half the down-time.......Victory to me seem very well engineered----might get one when i up-grade.
