I have Tinnitus. I wear custom ear plugs. With a full face helmet. This makes riding more comfortable . When riding with other bikes with Louder pipes.
I tell you though, I have my saddlebags that are staining with this Matt white paint. If I had it to to do over again I'd probably go with that Matt Gray as you probably can't see staining as well as you can on my saddlebags. Now don't get me wrong it's not extremely noticeable, but I know it's there, and bugs me! So look for a gray and black one if you ever go for it!
Hey John, I'm looking at purchasing a GW this fall. I'm currently on a '99 Kawi Nomad that I love, but want to upgrade because I want my wife to be more comfortable. She doesn't ride with me often, in fact my youngest son rides more often with me than she does. Probably 80-85% of my riding is one-up. My question is this: do you ride much two-up and how comfortable is your passenger compared to your earlier GL1800? It looks like I can get a newer F6B with less miles than a comparably priced full tour. I know that you are happy with the ride of the F6B, but how about passengers? Thanks, Rich
Hi Richard! Yeah your wife will love it, sure it doesn't have any armrest or huge backrest like the 1800, but my wife just loves the look of the bike so much I think she's okay with the small backrest! She has never complained about any discomfort in the five years I've owned an F6B. There are the higher backrest but I just never liked the looks of them sitting up high, and she's never had any complaints once she got used to it, more like a nice lumbar support than a backrest, but she feels quite safe. I do suggest getting the 16 though and get the deluxe so you don't have to trade after you fall in love with a older model! Like I did! And yes she rides with me quite a lot.
Have a 2016 f6b silver Matt, deluxe has passenger backrest, centerstand, and self cancelling turn signals, also cruise control, luv the f6 better than the new gold wing, number 1, they sit lower, dont care for rider modes, I do like abs brakes, electronic windshield is nice but how often are you playing with it? Wishbone front end and navigation and heated seat and blue tooth connectivity, if u have to have all the bells and whistles including a air bag then the 30 000 dollar gold wing is for u, still love the flat six bagger!
I absolutely agree on All Points! Thanks for watching, check out my thousand-mile review, not sure if I talked about how I adjust my windshield on the fly or not, on this 500-mile review but I do on the thousand. Probably not the safest thing to do but it works great!
I have the same bike. Don’t have the fog lights yet. But I have after market signal lights on the mirrors that are white. Looks great. I’ve had to change steering bearings already. Defective from factory. How are your deams st night?
Also, I’m hearing a knock from the front of the bike. Was told it was the front brake calipers that move slightly when passing over rouhspots in the road. Have you experienced that on you bike?
Hey bro I think your voice text messed up there at the end I can't understand your question LOL, but man what a great bike! I don't know I haven't had any problem with my steering bearing, but I'm not a very technical driver, sounds like you may be, but enjoy that ride,! I love mine every time I sit on it, walk by it, write it, LOL
@@dalemeche7276 no I've never had any knocking whatsoever in the front, again I stay off my Pedal brake when going over any bumps to avoid the anti dive taking in, but no knocking whatsoever
John, great video. I would recommend getting a belly pan and Highway pegs. These are great machines, I also have an Ultimate seat on mine, works great on those long hauls, ride safe.
Man I'm so happy with the stock seat I'd be afraid to switch it out LOL! I can do 5 6 hours jump off and be ready to do another for 5! Oh, yeah I had a belly pan on my GL 1800, I think it was just a pain to remove that if I can remember correctly, every time I had to change the oil. Tell me if I'm wrong. Yes these are awesome machines for sure!
@Rafael Calderon. How do you like the ultimate? I did my research on them, they seem good but they took some shortcuts it seams where detail was needed. I got my Saddlemen Road Sofa LS on

Your video has helped thank you. I am a new rider and the gold wing is my dream bike. You answered one of my questions I did not realize I had.
Great thanks for watching!
Love this bike and color, you the lucky man

All my 2 wheelers are silver or matte gray, so will probably stick with those colors when ready to get the F6B👍

Piece of cake to change the oil, just get the MACGYVER ; it has a separate hatch.
