I was a huge Whitney fan her whole career, but I never saw her in person. For what it's worth, Chaka Khan said right after Whitney's death that Whitney needed throat surgery but refused. What I hear in this performance is Whitney trying to do too much. If you can speak, you can say, but you may not be able to belt. I think she would have been able to give better performances had she worked on lightening and softening her tone, if that makes any sense. Singing in that softer style would not have been natural for her, but I think it could have worked better than what she ultimately ended up doing.
I wanted to go to that concert, but nobody would go with me. and as I saw the videos I was a little bit happy, cause I saw her 1999 in germany ...and even as she let as wait for an 1hour and then she talked and prayed half of the show ... I loved it. and I wanted to have this memory of her ...not the voice at this time in 2010. I was a fan since I saw her 1985 on a german Music show. the best vioce of all time.
With kind of Diva like her need not to prove themselves anymore because times already prove that they are great and iconic. Just enjoy the music and celebrate life with them. We love you, Whitney!

She should’ve made it an acoustic version slowed it down a bit maybe or just reinvented the song. It was a bit cringy at times but God bless her all the way to heaven. We miss you mama Whitney ! A softer style of singing with her lifting her notes up off her chords would not have been natural for Whitney, who was used to belting her notes, but I think it might have produce better results.

Sure, you'll say everyone is responsible for taking drugs, but how to get there, and who is well-disposed to you, is different. Nevertheless, she remains the largest pop and soul queen in the world - forever and no one will ever get to them.

You can tell by her voice and belly she was exhausted and not taken care of. A better option would’ve been to do a Vegas residency where there is no travel and no damage to the body.
