I would have been afraid 😱 pulling it down like that would have caused a leak on the coil. Nice work! 👍🏿

Dude, I have to say, since 1985 when I started, I only had 2 distributor leaks alone when looking for leaks on a refrigeration system, more on A/C systems. Normally there were multiple pin hole leaks from the 180's of the coils which were so thin you couldn't braze them without burning a larger hole in the 180's. I was never successful in repairing the distributors without replacing the distributor, and brazing in the lines into a new one. My attempts at repairing them as you did only made more leaks on the other lines, or not having the 56% bonding properly and simply rolling off the copper/brass. I know it's all in the prep., but I still couldn't do what you just did. Excellent job! My hat's off Sir!

Service techs are a dying breed. At least where I am all the new guys spend more time in sales classes than technical training. You’re an inspiration to us all. 👊🏻🤘🏻

i never see you or hvacr do installs.. you two be lucky. we just fitted a new water package in a ceiling... there was a wall in between where the unit needed to go, took 4 guys just to put it in place because we had to hold it by hand while some one else secured it. hate installs/replacements.

Dave, thanks for the info like what solder and flux you use, tools you like for application etc. it’s helpful for new techs or us guys that work alone and rarely have another tech to bounce ideas off of.

that freeze pattern does not always mean low on charge, could be under feeding exp valve. but you have a leak so yes low on gas.

Defrost termination and Fan delay, it stays off until the box gets down to a cooler temp. So it wont blow warm air.
