I hear you.. I work on two rack systems. One has twenty compressors. The other has twelve. That's in addition to the stand alone units. Put it this way some of my freon orders have been as many as 14 jugs at a time.
+Nor-Cal Refrigeration & H.V.A.C. That right you be living out of the service truck $$$ are good but hours are long 14 to 20 hours when weather gets hot in summer for 6 months non stop work l know l did for 5 years did nation supermarket .Parallel rack systems miss the troubleshoot on the rack but not the long hours learn a lot .You would have crew of service tech to that work and construction crew to take installed case and clean display case are all done overnight .Ran service calls all night.
R-409a was good stuff back in the day. I been using hot shot 2 (R-417c) to replace 409. It cost $220 per 24 lb jug. It's amazing how much r-12 equipment that's still out there.
Tres Bohn! Been running all my chill rooms on R134a, R404A is going to be banned/taxed out of existence here and i'm not keen on blends if i can avoid them.
That r409a has been in there since 2007 I use 134a and 404a also. I priced out a 25# of R448a it was 345$ R404a is only 140$ for 24# I'll keep using it.
Good vid. that old weak 1 hp is prob only equal to a 3/4 hp anyhow right now. perfect match. never bitch about having a little extra horse power . allways better. faster pulldown time . no ice building on coil. faster recovery time. hp is king.
A crack hammer and a crack cap to boot. Lurker special over the shoulder...my favorite :)
Enjoyed Mr. Dave
I always wondered what your intro was saying. "lurkers" yeah gotta love when they hang over your shoulder.
Yep there a special breed.
Great job Dave
nice work. that evap had seen better days.
It has. It was wasted.
I guess it makes it easy to recycle. Ever worked on rack systems? Sometimes I find it to be challenging to trace the culprit unit.
+George W yes I used to. I honestly stay away from grocery store refer. I like to sleep at night. Lol
